Egusi stew with beef and pounded yam fufu.
    Stephanie P.

I'm so happy they have a full restaurant now. We stopped in today for dinner and it was fantastic; the owners were there and really friendly. I got egusi stew with beef and pounded yam fufu, which was amazing. My date got jollof rice and goat. I ate every single bite of my food and my date said it felt like he was at home. We will definitely be back... SOON!

Well deserved and so happy to have gotten food from their restaurant!! Remember when things were being run on a much smaller scale and it's so beautiful to see young people living out their dreams! Outdoor was nicely decorated with different color flowers. There's a small parking lot in back. Very spacious inside. There's booth seating across from the high tables in the photo. I can definitely see this being a hangout spot. Sometimes when restaurants expand the taste suffers but I'm glad to say that is not the case here! Suya grilled perfectly and greatly appreciate that their spicy is truly spicy. Plantain were fried to perfection, crispy edges but still soft. Jollof rice was so tasty. The egusi and fufu did not disappoint. Buffalo has the Nigerian/African restaurant that it deserves!

Very fun environment and had a great ambiance. Greeted by the host and welcomed us into the dining area. All the staff members were very kind and welcoming as it was our first time there. Played great music and watched a soccer match while we dined.

    Kenmore Farmers Market

This is a new store that recently opened up on Kenmore Avenue and Elmwood…read more I had to go check it out. I've been dying to go in there. I don't know what time it opens every day, but it closes at 1 AM They have a large and I mean a large variety of snacks and things. A lot more than you'd find at your regular convenience store like 7 Eleven Lots of pop, milk, juice, cold, and warm Lots of snacks, tons of candy, it's my kind of store. Right now, they don't take Benefits cards ( Food Stamps), but hopefully in the very near future they will start. The gentleman working was very nice. Prices are not bad for a store like that. Some things are quite expensive, but other things are pretty good. All I know is it's quite big inside bigger than you would expect a small market to be. Perfect for having to run in and grab that last-minute thing that you need to cook something or snack or something. It would be nice if they were open all night, but unfortunately, they close at 1 AM. They also carry hookahs, really nice tea sets , and some other things over in that section. It's a pretty nice store, I like it, and I will definitely go in there again and again and again... NOTE: Wright next-door connected to the Kenmore market is a little restaurant called "Halal Bites." I did not go in there, though, maybe one of these days, I just thought I'd let you all know that it is right next-door and connected in the back. You can go through the whole store to the back make a right and then you'd be in the restaurant..

Buffalo Catering Co did an amazing job catering my wedding this past weekend at the Botanical…read moreGardens. The staff were so attentive to myself and my groom; making sure we had a drink before we walked down the aisle, making sure they knew our drink preferences for the night, and several times seeking us out wherever we were with a readymade drink (mixed and just water) to make sure we were lubricated and hydrated. They also made us 6-8 covered plates of a sampling of all the catered foods and set it at our table for when we finally got to sit down AND they brought us and the wedding party hors d'oeuvres immediately after the ceremony while we were getting ready for photos. I had purchased one of those 7lb cans of luxardo cherries to go with cocktails for the night and of course got cherry juice on my fluffy white dress and one of the bartenders deftly and quickly saved my dress with some club soda too! Everything was beautiful and tasty and there were several compliments on the food. We already loved Joe's Deli and Buffalo Catering is even lovelier. Highly recommend you let them cater your wedding and suggest you ignore the review on here by a wedding attendee about running out of food. Running out of food is a planning mistake and not the fault of the caterer if they didn't know about the correct numbers or the family didn't take their advice and instead bought less that was suggested! Our food amounts were seemingly perfect as far as I can tell (as advised by the caterer based on our attendee numbers) and we did a grazing menu: a great variety of delicious slider sandwiches, a bruschetta bar, two orders of charcuterie, two orders of cheeses, vegetable and fruit plates, and four types of hors d'oeuvres with enough for each person to have at least 2 of each. Open bar package with beer, wine and cocktails as well. Again, can't say enough, they did a stupendous job and I felt so cared for and taken care of. PS: I don't have any photos of the sandwiches yet but I'm sure they exist. They were DELICIOUS!

It was incredibly helpful during a very stressful time and very appreciated! (Even in grief, the beef on weck sliders got rave reviews.) Thanks again.
