I recently moved into R5 about a month ago and have genuinely enjoyed my experience! I used to…read morerehearse at their studio in DTLA and enjoy the fact that they are both 24-7 and have the ability to go in and rehearse whatever time it may be. The building itself is surrounded by other local businesses as well as local homes. So far I haven't had any problems with any of the neighbors and usually stop playing music around 11pm. I'm towards the center of the building and I'm glad we haven't heard any complaints! However it might be something to be aware of if you're looking for a room towards the back of the studio and what time you plan on playing. I have seen a number of rooms in different sizes available and I hear different people playing from producers to percussion driven bands so the variety is there! The management is very accommodating and have been very helpful in so many ways. The place is usually kept pretty clean and well taken care of. There have been a few issues with the toilets and the AC but they always seem to be taken care of pretty quickly. They just opened recently too so it seems like they're just getting all the details together. The place itself feels safe and secure plus everyone seems really easy to get along with. I'm really happy with the room I got with my bandmates! While the rooms aren't fully soundproof, It hasn't been an issue so far because of everyone else's schedule and the placement of musicians. Should anything change I'll update my post but for now it's simply something else to be aware of. I do enjoy the sound of our room! They also have their own parking lot and gate. They do ask you to pay for an electronic switch but you can park in the nearby streets as well. If you want the added security of parking inside that's there and you can always open it from inside if you need to pick up a load of equipment. All in all, I've really enjoyed rehearsing at Royal Rehearsal and find the convenience very appealing. They treat me very well and provide a great space to come and play music! They have mentioned adding a few different things to the studio so I'll be looking forward to that soon. Till then, here's to playing even more music!

I moved into Royal Rehearsal about 3 months ago and have had an excellent experience so far…read more Management is very responsive and helpful and made sure I had everything I needed to move in. The building is very secure with lots of cameras and keypads for all the doors. Easy and secure parking. My room is excellent--spacious, bright and clean. I've rented rooms in several rehearsal studios in both LA and NYC and this one is the best I've found. There are producers, bands, and individual musicians in the building. Highly recommend this spot for your rehearsal, practice, or production needs!

The studio owner and recording engineer is highly knowledgable and friendly. The studio staff are all very helpful and organized. Everybody really cares about their craft. The space itself is beautifully built and invites creativity. The atmosphere is relaxed but professional. There are several rooms for recording. As a drummer, most of my time is spent in the main room. The Hear No Evil team sets up sessions quickly while maintaining a positive atmosphere. My recording process has always gone smoothly. There are a wide range of instruments, microphones, and amps to choose from and the staff will help recommend what to use for the best result. If it's a longer session, there is a microwave and fridge to heat/store some food. Parking is on-site, free, and abundant. I give Hear No Evil my highest recommendation!

Very unprofessional. The owner, Elliot Koenig, had interns running the session and they were on…read moreTikTok most of the time. As an artist paying for studio time, that's incredibly distracting and disrespectful. I did not feel valued as a client. After leaving, I was repeatedly asked to rebook, instead of being asked how the session went. Bad vibes kill creativity. I would never go back. UPDATED Feb 1-11:24pm After leaving this review, the owner Elliot messaged me AGAIN on Instagram. Took zero accountability and only cares about his image. NOT the client. To address your comment, I asked for a discount, cuz your interns run the session. As Indie artists we have to fight to protect a space we paid for. Often times we don't have other options in the area so we suck it up, but no more! This is not a good studio. I would not go back. Look at how he responds to feedback...
