Hands down best rehearsal studio I've had the privilege of jamming in. I frequent this establishment so I can confidently say the equipment is very solid considering what else is availible around LA. Even if there's an issue with equipment, they're quick to come help with it. The restrooms can be hit or miss, I wish they took a little better care but honestly can't complain and maybe it's cuz I always book for the very end of the night lol. Another small thing is the drummers have to bring basically half of a drum kit (cymbals, Snare, & kick pedal **all of which you can rent from summit for a decent price incase you forgot) which can be a pain sometimes but Other than that, not much to complain about besides the hours!! I wish they could stay open late on weekends but they only open till 8 which is understandable, can't complain! Decent parking, right off the 210 freeway, solid gear, big ass rooms, very solid pricing, very friendly staff!!! What else can you ask for right?!?!? The only other studio that kinda compares is AMP In NoHo but they got stinky mics, staff can be weird, getting to the parking lot is literally like a maze and their gear has shit on us multiple times. So big shout out to summit!!! Love going here and will continue to support as long as I am physically capable of playing drums, bass and guitar!!!!! read more

Really like this place a lot. I've used them twice in the past month, once in The Jazz room and once in The Moroccan. I can't believe how clean and well stocked the rooms are for the price. I mean, these prices are barely more than a dump of a rehearsal space used to cost in NYC back in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Staff is generally friendly - although there was one black guy running the front desk who got made we were hanging out in the seats outside The Moroccan and talking cause he wanted to blast rap music and practice his rapping - something he did right after warning us he would, thereby making it impossible for us to converse. When we went to The Jazz, it was simply to record an audition tape for one of the performing arts high schools. For people who want to go in and practice or do an instrument lesson or something like our case - where it wasn't a band practice but just a teacher and student - they will charge 1/2 price during the day (I suppose it's much less busy during the day - this might just be weekdays, but I can't remember). The Moroccan was used when my kiddo wanted to get together with two other high school students who wanted to try jamming in an effort to start a band. Drummers have to bring their own snare, cymbals, and kick pedal. Amps and mics are provided. But you can rent all these drum parts and keyboards and other things like that, and you can buy strings or sticks if you messed up and forgot to bring yours. The other, bigger rooms look great (I had a look around), and they have a recording studio. I strongly recommend this place. read more

What an awesome recoding/rehearsal or just jam session place that is well equipped with great amps, PA system and drum sets. Each different room is nicely decorated to its tone "ie. Classic, jazz, etc.". Plus sound boards in the rooms. You can also rent cords, drum accessories etc. staff especially Alan is really cool and nice. Very clean and well maintained Facilites as well with reasonable hourly rentals varying depending on room being rented. A cool place to just hang out and Jam even for a casual musician. Plenty of parking, safe area, and they also sell accessories and snacks too. Clean restrooms too! read more

Great rehearsal rooms and currently great, friendly and professional staff. I have been coming here for years with various musicians and artists. I would give it a higher rating except the bathrooms are always filthy and smell horrible like they are never cleaned. It's scary to use them as a female. Out of all the rehearsal spaces I have been to in LA and the OC areas, this one by far has the most disgusting restrooms every time. read more

This is my absolute go to rehearsal studio in LA!! I'm a singer and bandleader, and I've paid for so many different rehearsal studios in LA, and whether it's either in a shady neighborhood, dirty rooms, no customer service, bad gear, smells or all sorts of questionable items, I've eliminated them one by one until I found this gem! This place is CLEAN, always smells good, nice sized rooms, good gear (piano available in 2 diff rooms), good mixer, and right off the freeway in Pasadena. He doesn't seem to care about relationships with customers unless you're a 22 year old girl he can hit on like a creep. Be prepared for eye-rolling and " I'm too good for you" attitude. This is the absolute best rehearsal studio around. I've been to many of them, and none are as clean and professional as this spot is. Seriously, the one we used to use often had a stoner running it that would always forget to come help us with sound (wasting our rented time) and I was afraid to sit on the couch because who knows what kind of nastiness was all over it and in between the cushions. Summit is the polar opposite of those kind of spots. Still extremely affordable, and worth a couple extra bucks an hour over any competitor out there. I came here a few times before it changed ownership (I believe it was called Pasadena Rehearsal Studios) and if you knew it then, you have to check it out again because it's new and improved! We usually book the Moroccan room. It works well for a 4 piece band (and we've even had 5 of us in there a few times, although it's a little more crowded.) I've also rented their classic room a few times for larger band rehearsals and a video shoot, and I've rented the Victorian when the Moroccan is booked. They are all impeccably clean, and the sound is great. Kiersten and Matt own and run the business, and they are the sweetest people. They obviously take great care of the place and are super helpful and knowledgeable. If someone isn't booked directly after us, they let us hang a little overtime, and they stock little snacks and drinks out front that you can grab and throw on your tab (which I'm so grateful for because I'm always rushing to rehearsal hungry and usually forget to bring water.) PLUS Piper (their poodle) is the cutest mascot! read more

Alan is an incredibly great guy and he never has an off day. This came to light even more when I got a strangely grumpy attitude from the Australian dude. Seems others have a similar experience. These are trying times so I hope he gets into a better place soon, especially since this is my favorite rehearsal place in LA. All things considered, everyone's a hell of a lot nicer than the people at Bedrock and they've definitely got better equipment and decor. read more

First time rehearsal at the Moroccan Room, everything was as expected, good gear, good sound, and good vibes

Since finding this studio, my man's band hasn't gone to any other one. It's super affordable and they have really nice rooms with gear that you can use, such as drums, amps, microphone, etc. They also have different parts from the drum kit to rent (cymbals mainly) and snacks/drinks by the back entrance if you get hungry. Call to make a reservation for a room and they have different time slots available. When you arrive, you just say the name on the reservation and they'll take you to the room. Payments are taken before you leave the studio. Typically, if there is another band is the time slot directly after yours, someone from the desk will come to the room to give a 5 minute reminder to start packing up so you'll be out on time for the next band. This is honestly one of the best rehearsal studios I have been to in a while and I highly recommend this location. The only difficult thing is parking if there are a lot of bands practicing at the same time. There are a few spaces by the back entrance of the studio, but once those are filled, have fun looking on the streets! Check out their rates ASAP and get your bands in at this studio!! read more

This is one of the best of not the best rehearsal space I have ever practiced in. As a lifelong musician with national touring experience, I have seen my share of various types and different degrees of quality, and Summit is at the top. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the complex itself is warm and totally geared toward the personalities and needs of true musicians. Excellent! read more

Great facility in the San Gabriel Valley and worth the drive for anyone coming from other parts of Los Angeles. The Suite is perfectly appointed and the staff here are very helpful. They have all the amenities and great house gear as well. A true plug-in 'n play studio! This is the right way to do it and I wish other studios in Los Angeles would follow Summit's lead. From personal practice to full band practice, this is the rehearsal studio to go too. Forget looking all around L.A. for that cheap band rehearsal deal only to end up with a closet sized room. This place has spacious and personalized rooms for your style of music and needs for that practice. The customer service is top notch. Summit Rehearsal is the pinnacle of rehearsal studios. Great sound, great vibe, it can't be beat. I love the classic room because it's slightly larger than the rest and has some natural light. If I need to set up a rehearsal in the Pasadena area, I don't really need to look anywhere else now that Summit exists. read more

Comfortable studio spaces for all kinds of music. I've been to other rehearsal studios in town that tend to cater more to rock, punk, etc. Summit attracts all kinds, from Latino trad, jazz, rock. Last week i looked up on google for a rehearsal studio because I'm tired of the same studios here in LA with same old equipment with blown-speakers And stuff like that , and i found Summit Rehearsal Studios. I did the best choice ever . When i got there the first thing i noticed was the great quality of customer service ,then the best thing was that the rooms were fresh as in everything fresh , fresh air ,fresh sound, fresh mics , and fresh drum set . First off, I would like to thank the wonderful staff at Summit. They have truly gone out of their way to make sure our bands are taken care of in every respect. The rooms are squeaky-clean and sound excellent. As a drummer, I'm used to playing on kits in various states of disrepair at other rehearsal studios. Not the case here. Every kit I've played on has been in great condition, and sounds fantastic. How often do you get the opportunity to "test drive" a 90's era Premier Genista or a 70's era Slingerland at a practice studio?? It should be noted that I have only "Yelped" twice in my lifetime, as I find the practice to be tedious and somewhat disingenuous.
