However, during the visit she was told that her Ford Focus required a replacement coolant reservoir. Midas charged $119.00 for the coolant reservoir and $30.00 for labor. After the visit, we researched the part pricing independently and found the same coolant reservoir available online for under $50, with multiple reputable listings--some as low as $17.99. The part number is 603-382. When we contacted the store to discuss the significant price discrepancy, we were told that Midas has no control over part pricing and that the lower-priced parts we found must have been "from China." No effort was made to explain the markup, offer a comparison, or provide any resolution. Given the substantial difference between the price charged and readily available market pricing--and the dismissive response when concerns were raised--we were very disappointed with the experience. As a result, we will not be returning to Midas nor recommending this location to others.

The owner of Ridge made an immediate good impression with me when he offered to pay for my car's release from an uncooperative auto shop where the car was being held (Craig's Auto). The shop owner was extremely friendly and dealt with me personally in every step of the process. He developed an estimate for me using after market parts in order to save money. It was entirely my choice as to whether to use after market or OEM parts. The owner provided me with an extremely reasonable estimate and offered me a 10 percent senior discount. I am a 27 year old graduate student. He offered me 10 percent off because he knew I didn't have a lot of money and he wanted to help with the costs. I was even more surprised when I went to meet him and he showed me my car. As a part of their free estimate, they completely dismantled the car in order to provide me with an accurate estimate. The estimate for the repairs was itemized, detailed, and more importantly precise. He charged me exactly what he had estimated for before the repairs began. Moreover, he never once tried to get me to spend more money on parts or repairs I didn't need. The work was done quickly and skillfully and the car looks and runs the same, if not better, than before. Ridge is honestly one of the best auto services I have ever dealt with. It is a relatively small family owed business, but that doesn't take away from the quality of their service. The people are friendly, they perform quality work in a timely manner, the work is guaranteed, and more important than anything else, they are honest. Cause was located to a repaired line with compression fitting installed at MSA. Rated for low pressure only. Illegal in many states. This is not best practice or responsible service. Check and verify yourself. Youtube could help to learn in DIY sections. Avoid accident. Practice using your emergency brake if you had this service from them. Obtain Inspection from brake mechanic and install proper Union fittings or direct lines line EZ-fit Ni-Copp from end to end.
