Shortly after the muffler and exhaust tip install, the tip lost its black color. I purchased the exhaust tip from their shop, as I wanted to support local businesses in 2020 instead of my usual online shopping. Going back to get it replaced led to a very sloppy slanted exhaust tip that I have previously posted pics of. It's extremely embarrassing. I could see it looking whacky from inside the waiting area. I was nearly dark so I didn't know just how bad it was. I had paid for their shop to do the Magnaflow Muffler and tip in house instead of buying a system. The bullet muffler was simply placed in back next to the tip. All that I've seen, the muffler is upfront. My mechanic brought this to my attention first.

I've seen some pretty shady stuff. MANY of todays shops are seriously under trained/uneducated especially on todays newer cars. I say this with praise for those shops with employees that may actually care... The rest of the shops, simply don't care...)) After checking yelp.com with no success, I made a few calls looking for only the most trusted, reliable, and established of shops. Cox's was at the top of the list recommended to my by a local professional. I took my car in without an appointment. Although unable to do it immediately (( not at all that I would expect that)) They simply asked me to come back in about an hour and they'd squeeze me in. Upon my return they promptly test drove and inspected my car in a timely manner (about 45 minutes.) Unfortunately for me, my car failed. ((I actually expected my 14 year old car to fail for some reason.)) The Inspector, Took me into the shop and showed me the exact reason of concern. I promptly corrected the Issue and called back the same afternoon to actually schedule to come in the following morning. Upon the Re-Inspect, I was relieved to learn that I had satisfied Maryland's strict inspection demands. Again, I am pretty well rehearsed in auto repair/service. Shops, Dealerships, and Parts as well, hence my precautionary measures I took to find a top notch shop. These guys obviously know what the hell they are doing. They run an honest operation, and they are not going to molly-whop you for your hard earned cash. Simply put, There are only a few people I will let work on my cars. After seeing these guys in action for only an hour and a half, Cox's Auto Repair is now on my list!

On Sunday, I had my vehicle towed to this shop. My AC had stopped working and after driving for sometime fumes started coming from the front of the car and liquids were dripping from the bottom of the car. When my car got brought in, I called and explained exactly that. They told me it would cost about $67 to do a diagnosis of the issue. The next day, Tim called me and said the issue is my radiator and I needed to replace the radiator. He told me the total cost would be $764. I told him I would call back because I wanted to get a second opinion. I wanted to get a second opinion because this past December I brought my car in to them because my AC/ heater was not working. Then I paid them over $600. Now six months later I was having the same issues. Because I couldn't move the car to another mechanic, I contacted a mobile mechanic. In my messages to the mobile mechanic I said the same thing that I told this business. My AC stopped working and the car started fuming. In the end, I could not coordinate a time with the mobile mechanic due to work, so I decided to go with Myers. The next day I called them to okay the service. Tim now quotes $849, instead of the $764 he originally told me. I explained to him that was not the price he quoted me before. I wrote the price down, but he lied and said it was what he told me. I negotiated the price to $813 because I just wanted my car fixed. I okayed the service after he assured me he did a diagnostic and the issues would be fixed. Of course, I'm thinking the AC would also be fixed. When they called me to say the car is ready. My sister goes to pick up the car and had me on facetime. The very first thing I asked her to do was to check the AC before paying. LO AND BEHOLD THE AC WAS NOT FIXED. When I brought this issue up. They lied that I never mentioned the issue with my AC. We are in the peak of the summer, Why would I not mention my AC not working??? Also, why would I mention it to the mobile mechanic (see my screenshots) and not mention it to Myers, the people who have my car and are fixing my car???? Instead of them admitting their error. They tried to charge me an additional $1000 to fix the AC talking about there is an issue with the AC compressor. So they wanted me to pay a total of $1800!!!! They are ridiculous. Of course I contested this. I called Neil Myers the owner to resolve the issue cordially. To my surprise he started yelling at me and threatening me that "he knows my type" and that if I don't pay in cash I will not get my car. It was so TRAUMATIZING. I never had a business owner speak to me like that, especially when it is THEIR ERROR. The way he spoke to me I was scared because like I said my younger sister was there alone. So I immediately left work to go there myself. Then Brandon (Myers??) got involved and again instead of rectifying the situation and admitting their error also lied that I never told them. So he called me stating the call is being recorded. Then it was clear he was trying to create a recording to cover themselves legally. He also tried to tell me that I needed to pay in cash or certified check before they release my car. I called them out that it is against the law if it was not previously disclosed to the customer. In the end, I paid $749, instead of $813 because Brandon said he would give me a "discount". I found it laughable that he thought that would be sufficient to rectify the fact that I paid $749 to "fix" a radiator that is sold on amazon for less than $99 and my AC is still not working. I don't recommend this business to anyone. Also by the way the positive reviews are doctored. As a first time customer they will harass you for days to leave a review, which I am assuming why so many people feel compelled to leave these 4 star reviews. But trust me don't patronize this business!

I had used Myers years ago for minor repairs and was always treated well and was satisfied with their work, this time was totally different. When I took my vehicle in they did the diagnostic gave me the results and I gave them permission to make the repairs. my vehicle was there for more than a week when I picked my car up and drove approximately five miles my engine light came on and the car started backfiring and shut off I was able to get off the highway. I waited 10 to 15 minutes and the car finally started. once I got home, I called the shop they gave me every excuse in the book as to what was happening to the car. My vehicle was in and out of their service department for more than three months. to make a long story short, my vehicle was at Myers for a total of three or four months, I paid over two thousand dollars and my vehicle still is not running. The last thing I had replaced was my fuel pump. At the present time every light on my panel is on. I am eighty one years old living on a fixed incom, this has been very frustrating and I wouldn't recommend Myers to my family or friend as a matter of fact I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. I needed to replace the EPS steering damper on my 2013 Toyota Camry. After reviewing online…read morefeedback and calling several local shops for estimates, I ultimately selected Huntingtown Automotive. Prior to taking my car in, I researched the typical repair costs. The replacement damper itself is an inexpensive part (around $10), and a fair total repair cost at an independent shop typically ranges from $300 to $450 based on 2 to 3 hours of labor. Many Camry owners reported paying roughly $300 at independent shops familiar with this specific fix. When I called Huntingtown Automotive beforehand, they gave me an estimate of approximately $300. However, once the job was completed, I was billed $750 based on 6 hours of labor. Surprised by the unexpected cost, I discussed the invoice with the shop manager, Troy, who subsequently reduced the bill to $600. While I appreciated the discount, I still feel that $600 is significantly higher than what is fair and reasonable for this repair.
