Do NOT recommend. Husband took our Camry in. They put us off picking it up for an entire weekend,…read moreand when we got it back on Monday, there were hundreds of extra miles on the odometer and the car positively reeks of cigarettes. It isn't the stench of someone smoking one dart in the car. Some you-know-what took my car out for a dirty weekend and returned it smelling like a 1987 Panama City Beach motel room. I have a documented allergy to nightshades! I cannot even get in the car, now! Why would anyone take a Camry, you ask? Well, additionally and possibly most important, this is a legitimate issue of stolen valor as the car is licensed with my husband's military tag. I just hope the two bit weasel who fronted as a Marine for the weekend got zapped by a speed camera whilst joyriding in our car so the truth will come out in the wash. SHAME ON YOU!

I cannot say enough about the service we received here. You just don't find people like this very…read moreoften nowadays. We first heard of R&S from my mother who while in Rexburg had her AC go out. It was in the upper 90's outside and my mom has health conditions that make her susceptible to heat. She was very panicked about driving home to SLC without AC. She called a bigger chain and they told her they did not have time to fit her in and that their waitlist was several weeks out. They called A&S for my mom. A&S fit her in that day and got her AC working for her drive home. She gave us their name and number and told us that if our daughter (attending BYUi) had trouble with her car to call A&S. Hardly believable, almost one week later my daughter had trouble with her alternator. She was able to coast it into her apartment parking lot and called home in tears. I remembered how A&S had taken care of my mom just a week before. I immediately called them. The service we received was impeccable. They picked up my daughters car that day. Diagnosed the problem and gave us options the next day. The following day we had a call that the work was all done. My daughter had no way to pick up the car, so A&S came and picked her up at her apartment and took her to pick up her car. Way above and beyond what would be expected. You just don't find people with this much integrity, kindness, and willingness to help nowadays. A&S is truly one of a kind. If you or anyone you know has car troubles of any kind I would absolutely without any hesitation recommend that you call A&S.

My wife called this shop to ask whether they could provide a rough estimate based on a description…read moreof the issue she was experiencing. The employee agreed to listen to the situation, so she explained the problem in detail. After listening, he responded by asking, "What color are my socks?" When she was understandably confused, he followed up by saying that she wouldn't know unless she came in and saw them. While we understand that an exact diagnosis often requires an in-person inspection, the way this was communicated came across as sarcastic and disrespectful rather than helpful. A simple explanation that the vehicle needed to be inspected would have been sufficient. Professionalism and customer service matter, especially when customers are trying to understand their repair options. Based on this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere.

I noticed that one of my trailer tires was very low after our last overnight stop. After a quick fill up of air we were an hour or so from the Les Schwab in St. Anthony Idaho. My wife called them and they said just stop by and they will look at it. We I got there and after I checked in, a very nice worker named CJ came out to help us. After a visual inspection, he quickly had the tire off and was in the shop fixing it. Turned out to be a leak from the stem valve. CJ had the tire back on in 10 minutes and we were on our way. We are writing this review due to our disappointment in our recent visit to grease monkey. My…read morehusband took our car to get an oil change and asked them to check our brakes. I want to preface that we asked for a brake check because my husband drives over teton pass for work everyday so we wanted to make sure they were in the safe level. We did not ask for a brake check because we were experiencing any issues with our brakes. We received a call and were informed our back brakes were running into the low yellow zone so we asked them to replace them. Not once during this call were we notified of any issues with our brakes. We received another call later and were informed by the employee that they (grease monkey) had broken a part on the brakes and that were ordering a replacement part and our car would still be done today. My husband and I were both on the call and can confirm that the worker said that it was their fault the piece was broken. They called back having issues finding the piece. They sent an employee to IF to get a piece and the employee came back with the wrong piece.... Their solution was to take a piece not for our car and shave it down. This did not seem like a safe or reasonable solution to this problem. In fact it seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Because we had no other option and absolutely needed our car back we agreed. My husband asked for a discount on the oil change and service when picking up our car. We thought this was reasonable given we were told a few hours and they took the entire day. Not to mentioned they informed us they broke the piece. We were then told by the employee that the piece was already broken when we brought our car in. They were giving us a free brake which was more than enough. To recap: we drove our car in that morning with no issues. They couldn't put our car back together because this piece was broken.... So how was it driving fine before if the piece was broken... we were told by THEIR employee they broke the piece they then went ahead and went as far as to lie to us and say the piece was already broken Not to mentioned if it was really and truly 100% broken prior to being brought in why were they "giving us a free brake" Very disheartening experience and absolutely unacceptable service. We now have to spend additional money to take our car to an auto body shop to have our breaks check because they offered an unsafe solution and fixed our car with the wrong piece. A little accountability would have gone a very long way. Asking for a discount or a free oil change was more than reasonable. My husband and I have been using grease monkey for years as well as our parents and rest of our family. They just lost many reoccurring customers. I'll be the first too say we probably should have gone elsewhere for something as important as brakes. But as a company you should not offer a service if you cannot handle that service. When a service as serious as this is done wrong it not only risks that customers safety but other people's safety who are driving on the same roads. Just something to think about.
