He pulled her two front teeth so aggressively to one side to try to get her cuspid (canine tooth) to erupt. After over THREE years, we finally said ENOUGH! My daughter now goes to UCLA ortho. She had to get the braces removed and completely start from scratch again. Previous to being accepted as a patient at UCLA, she was turned away by some of the most prestigious orthos in the Bay Area and Los Angeles area. All saying that it was too much of a liability to try to "fix" what Gallagher had done. Due to Gallagher using my daughter's two front teeth to try to pull the cuspid down, they are now almost completely pulled from their roots and will need to be replaced with fake teeth. Guess who is footing the bill for all of this? Yup, yours truly! In addition to ruining her two front teeth, he also misaligned her jaw. Repairing her teeth and face is going to be a VERY long road. While Gallagher might be a nice guy (and he really is! I could chat with him for days & days) - Please go elsewhere for ortho.

One day I happened to receive an oversized postcard advertising this dental practice located in Hollister Ca. The emphasis was on the office philosophy which stated clearly that no judgment was ever made on the patients current condition . Acknowledgment of how many of us feel having delayed treatment ( embarrassment & shame ) and emphasized they were only concerned with identifying the solution and assisting the patient with obtaining the best possible treatment to address all ongoing dental needs. Intrigued I called and was immediately impressed with the prompt response to my inquiry and I obtained an appointment which was a no charge assessment and a detailed treatment plan with the recommended course of action. The staff was positive and reassuring and Dr. Rauch was simply wonderful. Having introduced himself he quickly realized that I was pretty vulnerable and apologetic for having let my dental needs becoming so desperate. He was quick to reassure me and state that what mattered most at this moment was to move forward and focus on the solution. He was encouraging, supportive and obviously sincere. I was convinced this was my new Dentist and am here now to encourage anyone who has been delaying or procrastinating to obtain dental care this is the Dentist for you. Stephanie at the front desk misquoted our total at the consultation and for a person without insurance the amount has to be clear. We came in for wisdom teeth removal and was quoted an amount totaling the services by Stephanie. She provide a discount for not having insurance and made us pay 50% of the whole balance at the time of consultation. During treatment she asked me for the final payment and was done, at that time I was only thinking of my daughter's surgery I'm not thinking finances. After surgery I gather my receipts and notice an over charge from Stephanie at the front office and multiple calls with no callbacks. So I reached out to Dr. McMurray so he can get involved. His response was straightforward call the office tomorrow. I called multiple times no answer only left a vm after a few attempts. No call back, called again some nice lady in Los Baños office answered but said I had to call Gilroy office. I said this is were I'm calling she said yes but the calls get routed there if the Gilroy location is not available. So I felt stuck in a look without being responded. So finally yesterday after a few attempts and they don't answer their phones I finally speak to Stephanie and she responds with oh yes there was is over charge by our end. And we will return it back. She gives me the amount of $155. I was in complete shock my over was close to 700.00 and only receiving back $155.00charge according to Stephanie. During the consultation I was told a different lesser amount. So they charge over what I was told after they rendered the service. Dr.McMurray did not got involved nor try take accountability for his I email him with my situation so he can resolve the over charged but front office Stephanie has no customer service, no accountability, nor I'm sorry I made a mistake. Dr. McMurray and his staff showed a complete lack of accountability and customer service. We had a great experience at his San Jose location before, but this office was disappointing. I will not be returning. I would not recommend this place. Nor come back for taking advantage of this situation. My over payment was close to $700.00 dollars. That is unacceptable.

This experience was the worst. My daughter had all her Wisdom Teeth extracted. We believed the…read moreinformation we received for her care was adequate: the sutures would dissolve in 7-10 days, and she would need to keep the sockets clean for the next several weeks until the healing was complete. First, there was no follow-up phone call once we left the office. Second, my daughter's recovery was complicated due to the fact that the sutures were still intact after four weeks. This resulted in an infection and visit to the emergency room. A second visit to mcmurray's office was necessary to have these sutures removed. Once this was completed, she was escorted to the waiting room and dismissed. The receptionist was the only one available to answer any of my questions, and she was not able to respond to any of my concerns. Once we got to our vehicle my daughter broke down and started crying. She said they gave her something to numb her gums, but began removing the sutures before the numbing was complete. They didn't ask her how she felt, they just started the procedure. Third, a follow-up appointment was scheduled. When we arrived, we were greeted by the surgical assistant; mcmurray chose to wait in his office. He only appeared after I requested to speak with him and the office manager. I detailed our frustration with the care we received (the lack of follow-up, the emergency room outcome, and how they hastily removed the sutures before the numbing was complete). Both the office manager and surgical assistant were sympathetic. They showed empathy and compassion towards my daughter, and were apologetic for what she experienced. mcmurray was the complete opposite. He refused to accept any responsibility, arrogantly stating 'sometimes these things happen', and 'we can't predict every outcome'. He was dismissive, smug, and made continuous efforts to speak over me. No apology to our daughter, and absolutely no accountability for this debacle. Will definitely state to everyone to stay away from mcmurray. His lack of professionalism and disdain for his patients is pathetic. He is a disgrace to the profession.
