I honestly wasn't even going to leave a review but i think it's a learning moment for the…read moreadministration side of the library. I've been here two times, first time was great because i wasn't approached by anyone i guess. The staff at the front desk were very kind and helpful. Second time back yesterday, my son and i played quietly for an hour on the puzzle carpet, he had been hearing kids play in a room close to the bathrooms, he asked to play with the kids so we walked over there together and i stood right at the door way watching him, two min go by and the other boys in the room are still loud, my son who just got in that room, was yelled at along with the other boys by the librarian. Now i understand it's a library but these are toddlers. You should've talked to the parents who were sitting right there watching their kids be loud. While i agree its their parents duty i didn't say anything because i know my son was not yelling at all. So I kept quiet, a couple minutes later i walk my son to the bathroom to blow his nose where i had the door open to the hallway, i had just thanked him for being such a quiet kid in the library and have fun playing when we get back. On the way out of the bathroom a white woman in a black shirt, lanyard, shirt bob haircut walks past us, she proceeds to follow me back to the toy room and immediately as I'm trying to back up just to stand to watch my son again, she rudely says to me "you NEED to watch your son" so i turned around and said excuse me because she didn't introduce herself, my back was turned to her, I've never spoken to her before or seen her, and she follows up to tell me i can't be leaving my child unattended. So i immediately stop her and say i don't, he's always with me. She tries to tell me well earlier i saw you, i interrupt her there, because NO, you didn't see me without my kid. I tell her "NO YOU DIDN'T, i stay with my child." And all she says is oh okay then walks away. I have no idea who you are lady but that's not how to approach people. Especially when your asking question to someone for the first time. Don't assume because my Mexican kid and i are around all these other white families that's it's MY child that's acting up unattended. If you heard something about an unattended child, do your due diligence first before barking orders at the wrong one. I will not be coming back here and that's such a shame because the library is great. The admin staff?? You all need to be retrained on how to deal with people. You're lucky my kid was with me. Do better next time lady.

The Montgomery Library System as a whole is pretty great and this branch in particular is amazing…read more It is a small library but they have a good selection of books, audiobooks, magazines, and movies. The staff is very helpful as well and anything that can't be found here can be reserved remotely at another branch. Not to mention the beautiful pond and trail outside of the library.

I recently moved to Texas to be closer to my parents and to start work being that I am graduating in June. I'm using the library as my second place of residence for the next 6 weeks so I can before for my board exams. The library is very new and is stock full of great books, magazines, movies, computers, and lots of comfy chairs and tables to use. There is plenty of help if you can't find what your looking for and there is a great section for children. Each day there are different classes you can take from computer 101 to art classes. My favorite part of the library is the view of Memory Lake. Memory Lake has been built in remembrance of loved ones who have since passed away. There are many flowers, trees, benches, and walkways dedicated to these special people who are now in Heaven. The wild life and habitats throughout the lake make this a great place to walk your dog, take your children for walks, and to learn about all the different animals, plants, and trees that make up the area. Each day I take my lunch break from studying to explore a new section. I would recommend stopping by here to check out a DVD, catch up on the morning paper and to take a stroll around the lake.

I agree with the other reviewer that's that they feel sorry for the librarians who work here because they really don't have a library that they can call home. They are such sweet women and although they don't have a huge selection of books, because of limited space, they are able to request and hold books for you at this location. It is a great place to stop by and also go to the garden. They have sheets that have pokemon scavenger hunts along the garden and other fun things that you can do. I really enjoy it. I just wish they had a larger location and weren't crammed into such a small space. I will continue to visit and support our local library, but I wish it was on par with the other libraries in Spring/ The Woodlands/ Houston.

The magazine selection is on one rack, and maybe 50 magazine brands are available (not many per topic).---- Bond: "Both hands on the wheel Mr. Jones, I'm a very nervous passenger." ----There is a security guard on duty, watching for any suspicious activity.---- [Bond arrives at Government House with Mr. Jones dead in the backseat] Bond: "Sergeant, make sure he doesn't get away." -----If you are gathering several books, and it's hard to carry them all, then the nice librarians can reserve a place on the counter for them until you are ready to check them out.---- Bond: "That's a Smith & Wesson, and you've had your six." ----There is an empty basket on the counter which holds a potential 20 slips of paper each with the username and password to a PC (20 of them). There is one PC where you take the slip of paper and book your PC. I did not have to wait long for someone to finish and drop their paper back into the basket. I may have been the only person using the PC to look-up a book to see if it was in the library here or another branch. The kids and several adults that I passed by were watching YouTube videos.---- Moneypenny: "James! Where have you been? I've been searching all over London for you." Moneypenny: [To M] "007 is here, sir." ----There are a lot of helpful signs to help browsing patrons find books they may be interested in. The book number ranges are in large text, easy to see from a distance. Bond books are not numbered starting with 007, though.---- Bond: "Now don't worry Quarrel. Everything's going to be fine." Quarrel: "You say so, Captain. Bottom part of where my belly used to be tells me different." Bond: "For me, Crab Key's going to be a gentle relaxation." Felix Leiter: "From what? Dames?" Bond: "No, from being a clay pigeon." -----The library is place for relaxation and quietness for reading. The people in this library were respectfully quiet. This is a nice neighborhood library, and the patrons do not look threatening, so you should feel safe.---- Dr. No: "The Americans are fools. I offered my services, they refused. So did the East. Now they can both pay for their mistake" Bond: "World domination, the same old dream. Our asylums are full of people who think they're Napoleon. Or god." -----Asylums? This library is packed. However, most people are on the 20 PC's accessing the Internet, not looking at books. Uhhh. I guess libraries are now the place for free PCs for students and low income folk, not books for them.--- [As a hearse flies over a cliff and explodes] Man: "What happened?" Bond: "I think they were on their way to a funeral." -----Parking is ample and spacious. First of all, let me say that the library staff went above and beyond to make this event special for the children who attended. They decorated the library meeting room with American girl books, posters, AG shopping bags and more! There is a non profit group who purchased an American Girl doll to giveaway at the event. They had all the girls sit in a circle has she fold them a little bit about the American girl doll history. They provided snacks (cookies) which the girls decorated with pink icing and sprinkles. They played games where the winner received a free American girl book of her choice. My daughter won a book and was very happy. They also did a craft where all the girls got to make a no sew doll pillow. The best part to me was when they chose the name for the grand prize of the doll. A little girl who didn't have an American girl doll won. It really touched my heart to see her get her very first American girl doll. I was informed that this particular library has exciting events each month for the children in their community. Even though I probably won't be a frequent visitor of this location because of how far it is, I couldn't resist meeting everyone know what a stellar job the staff did putting this event together. Too notch!

I actually needed a quiet place to study that was away from my home because my husband works from home so I picked this place. When you get to the gate, you have to call them and then they confirm that it's you they let you in and then there's a designated parking area which has a lot of spaces. They also check your ID once you walk into the library and then give you a sticker. After that you are good to go and study wherever you want. I even walked around the grounds for a little bit on my way out. It looks very English countryside, even though I've never been to the English countryside. I think this is what it would look like. Library is beautiful and clean and temperature is perfect. Everyone working there is extremely friendly and it's such a beautiful place.
