Picture in your head what a stereotype tapas place should look like and I'm pretty sure something…read moreclose to this is what most would imagine. I love this place. Service is slightly slow because of the amount of people that they serve at any given time. So yes understandably, you will probably have to flag your waiter/waitress if you want anything after your initial order is taken because it can seem a little chaotic. The place is total old school Andalusia. How about the food? The food is just as authentic as the look of this place, which is always packed. I had the typical tomato salad with fish which is always delicious because the basic ingredients are always so fresh. Tomatoes stand out here because they are soo good. I enjoyed patatas bravas, salpicon, gildas, jamon, olives and croquetas de toro. What better to wash it all down with than a cup of Jerez amontillado and a glass of tinto de verano. Those that have left mediocre reveiws probably don't know what to expect or have no idea what to order, which, will probably end in an unfavorable experience. If you want a genuine experience of Malaga, then this place should be on your list of places to eat.

However, the one disappointment was ironically the most expensive dish we ordered: the Langostinos al Pil Pil (€12). We were expecting nice, plump prawns, but what arrived were tiny shrimp. They really should have called the dish "Camaroncitos al Pil Pil" instead of langostinos! Other than that, everything was excellent. Just a heads-up for anyone ordering the langostinos: don't expect large prawns!

I was hesitant to try this place given how busy, popular and hyped it is. I went Sunday afternoon…read morefor lunch and stood at the bar as all of the tables were full. But, two of the fastest, hardest working and efficient bar keeps took great care of me. I had a Tinto de Verona, a burger and patatas bravas. Both were superb. All of the meals and tapas coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I was very surprised and impressed. I even left the bar keeps a tip for which they seemed quite grateful. While there us a wait, always, I'm glad I took a chance. It was great. And any place that has Tinto de Verona on tap is doing God's work in my opinion.

This restaurant is more about its famous owner than the food. Antonio Banderas, a native of MĆ”laga,…read moreis rumored to own the restaurant and live in the condominium adjacent to its patio dining area. People come in the hope of sighting this celebrity, crowding the restaurant at all hours and overwhelming its staff. Our server pointed us to a QR code on the cocktail menu so we could look up what's on offer. This menu gave ONLY the names of the dishes on offer, WITHOUT any description of the dish or its sides. Nor did the server have the time to describe them to us. Service was a 2, at best, while the food was a 3. If you're looking for good food and good service, there are plenty of other options in MĆ”laga. If you choose a place to eat on the off chance you will see a movie star, this is the place for you.

I've been here 3-4 times since I came back to Spain last November, the place looks like quite chic,…read moreand it bright by itself, and I loved the little Wine cellar since the first moment. As soon as you get your seat they take your order for the drinks, sadly they don't serve any kind of Trina, they just have Aquarius or Nestea as still drinks, and... there it starts, they have like a kind of display case where they have the cold selection, most of them are "ensaladillas" which are good, and a couple of waitress, the young one with the red hair is lovely, that are taking the hot ones, and personally the best ones from the kitchen. In general, everything was awesome, we enjoyed the place it wasn't noisy at all but have to recognise that the times that I've been here were during the week and it wasn't full at all, the prices are quite high, 1,50€ - 2€ for a Pintxo is reasonably expensive, but I will definitely be back soon. If you're somewhere around "Calle Larios" try this place, you'll love it.

The pintxos are decent - not stellar, but tasty. I didn't see jamon iberico or Serrano, but they do have anchovy options, and omelette. Service was uninterested but prompt.
