He showed up in 10 minutes w a positive attitude and explained everything so I could understand it. Took his time and didn't rush . Just a great guy ! I had an unfortunate accident a few weeks back and Roy's Towing was called in by the police in Simi…read moreValley. Much like a dazed accident victim, I didn't really know where to start the mitigation and insurance process, at the time. After having been treated by the Paramedics, I called the Roy's Towing phone number that was left by the driver to me. It was a little late but I wasn't able to take some important personal items and that'll be critical for my work, so I called the number. Here's the very unfortunate thing that added insult to injury, an older man picked up the phone at about 10 or 11 PM .... very rude and bad-tempered. He lectured me that I called the Roy's Towing number that was only intended for police officers. So I said, I just needed my personal items from my car and explained that I am a first responder too. He began screaming asking me a question, "are you a police officer?" You cannot use or call this number if you aren't a cop, do you understand? Engaged up the phone right away and knead of directing me to the right number, just slammed the phone. NO ONE is impersonating or pretending to be a cop, I will never want that job, with all due respect but isn't the job of a Roy's Towing owner or driver to help those who are I situations where they might not know who to turn to during accidents? As a first responder myself, I always make an effort to ease the tension and anxiety of people under such circumstances. Roy's Towing owner or driver at that time was NOT a good contractor for the SVPD, they are the worst example of public service and customer service. Oh by the way, I was hit by a lady who accepted fault and who cased the accident. There were many witnesses present and the SVPD was on site during the accident! DO NOT USE ROY's TOWING from Simi Valley, they are the worst service people anywhere! Let's not patronize rude and disrespectful people who don't care about their customers!

MERCEDES BLEW UP MY GWAGON ENGINE - Trying to blame me for it…read more Imagine you start your own business. Failure after failure - you FINALLY land clients and some income. You then go and buy your dream car as a life goal and reward. You have it for years. Take care of it. Have a minor issue - take it to the experts. The experts blow up your engine - then blame it on you. Pretty crappy - right? Keep reading if you want the details. Note: this car was/is my prize possession. I worked REALLY hard to get this vehicle. It was and still is my dream car. Ok, well - normally I don't leave negative reviews however, I feel like this warrants a pretty detailed review as this maintenance issue is ongoing now for over 2 months and I do not have my car back in a proper working condition. I hope this helps finally get me my car back in WORKING CONDITION. Brought my car in for a radiator fluid leak. August 11th. Minor repair completed, car picked up August 16th. Before returning car, dealer invoice states that engine was pressure tested and good to go. Drove car home (less than 7 miles); drive car the next morning (7miles) to gym and notice white smoke coming from front right wheel well. Call dealership, and told to return car. Drive car to dealership (1 mile). It takes several weeks before they have any idea what is going on with car. First phone call - head gasket is cracked ($9500) to fix; second call engine block cracked - $95,000 dollars to fix (true story - happy to share docs). Called Mercedes HQ - no help there. MERCEDES BENZ THOUSAND OAKS said there is nothing they can do other than charge me at least 40k to fix the engine. Their paperwork shows my car was in a good condition when they fixed the minor part however, something occurred with that repair that created a fatal engine issue. I sent a 3rd party to inspect my vehicle - per their report - all vehicle code had been deleted. Maintenance manager Alex stated that is was likely due to the inspector having bad equipment or that the inspector was lying. 3rd party inspection done via Lemon Squad. Requested to Lemon Squad return with proper equipment and get full computer codes. THIS IS NOT NORMAL According to local repair shops it is highly likely they didn't properly drain the system when they did repair. Thus leading to a blown engine. Apparently - this shop is locally known for screwing up repairs and blaming the owners and then just trying to get them into a new car. Here we are October 30th, 2025 - no car, no loaner, paying for rentals, damage not covered by insurance. My car likely sitting in their open air lot with dust on it. Under my care this car was never outside for more than a few hours; NEVER DAYS. At this point hey have added 30+ miles to the engine (not sure how/why that happened) I contacted the Bureau of Automotive Repair to get an assist as the dealership pretty much stated "this is your fault, you should have taken batter car of your car, come get your car". The vehicle was VERY well maintained (ask me for the maintenance records - happy to provide). AGAIN - I LOVE this car. It was a trophy. All I want is for their team to fix my car. I didn't blow the engine up. It's wasn't my fault - I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. Now I am faced with: fight for my car - which likely requires hiring a lawyer. It's gonna get expensive. Or continue paying off a car that no longer works and that's headed to the junk yard. Say goodbye to my dream car and my trophy. Either way, Mercedes of Thousand Oaks prefer that they not be held liable for the damage their repair did to my vehicle. They just want me to go away silently and not say a word. That's not appropriate. If there are any news outlets that would like to cover this story - please reach out to me (ceo@gotspare.com) I can provide detailed records of my experience with Mercedes Benz of Thousand Oaks. Documents, pictures and recordings. Hope this helps get things resolved. In a world where people do shitty things and escape responsibility - genuinely hope for different here

I Ok'd that and waited for the tow truck to arrive. First off, a man, not in any uniform and in an unmarked old sedan car pulls up and said he was there to unlock my car. If it wasn't the middle of the day in a public parking lot, I would not have even thought to let this guy near me. He gets out, takes some tools from his trunk, and begins to work on my door. He asked me if I knew how much it was going to cost for him to open my door. I told him yes, I was quoted $49. He replied, No, that $49 is the service fee for him to come out, but that the total price would be $120!!! I told him to stop what he was doing and get away from my car, because I wasn't paying $120 to have him open my door, that I was only paying the $49 I was quoted. He told me to call the office and see if they would give me a deal. I repeated that I was only paying the $49 I was quoted, or he could go on his merry way. I called the company, and explained the situation to a female, who was not the person I originally spoke to. She said that the $49 was the service call charge, but that to unlock my car would be $120 more! I again repeated to her that I was only quoted $49, and was not paying more than that. Her reply was, " That's fine...if you want to cancel the service, butbyou still need to pay the driver the $49 service fee.". I told her that wasn't happening. She says, in an attempted threatening manner, " we have the original call recorded, we will listen to that"...I told her that that is great, because she will hear that only the $49 was mentioned. I let her know that I will be reporting them to the BBB, which I will do.
