I got a mani/pedi and while the massage portion was good, when it came to the nails I went with non-gel and this seems to be where the problem lies. Perhaps they aren't used to normal polish? My nails turned out extremely uneven and were not filed after.. I was left with the photos you see below with a painful hangnail remaining on my thumb. Part of it could be that there were no other customers when I came in, but by the time she started painting my nails it got busy... but I still paid $40 for the deluxe manicure, that shouldn't have meant she rushed to get me out leaving my nails like this. I will not go here ever again! I have been coming here for years and had pretty decent service. Yesterday, I went in for a set. I still had my old polish on. He used fake tips to slide under my old polish and lift it off. I normally do not have a problem with this. First, he ripped off some skin on my pinky and made it bleed. He gave me a frowny face like he was sorry. Then he ripped a huge chunk of skin out of my thumb and it was bleeding pretty good. My blood was running down my hand, was all over the table and all over the guy. (Who was not wearing gloves). He kept blotting at it with a paper towel and then putting the paper towel in with all of his tools. Then he used a dremel over the top of that bloody thumb nail and returned the dremel attachment back into his case. When he went to brush the "nail dust" off my hand with that fluffy brush, he ran it right over my (still bleeding) thumb and put that back amongst his tools. Whatever he put on at first (to prep my nails) burned so badly because he had torn my skin open. After my base nalos were done, he put a large flower design on one of my nails. You could not even see the nail polish as it was so large. I told him I didn't like it. He started getting a little pissy with me because of it and Bella came over to see what was going on. (I am not sure what he was saying as I do not speak their language). So I told Bella what I wanted and she watched him do it, but (from what I could make of it because I do not speak their language) she "scolded" him for putting it on in the wrong color. So then he was really pissy with me. Banging his tools around and just looking pissed off. When he started filing the sides of my nails, he ripped a third spot of my skin open and it was bleeding too! My fingers still hurt today. :( Not to mention I have a visible area where my skin was ripped open. The other 2 were basically painted over. I sure hope they heal underneath there. Also, while I was there (it was dead in there) one of the employees was sleeping on a pedicure chair. Not just relaxing on it while waiting for a customer. Like curled up in a ball on it and they had no shoes or socks on. They were so slouched and curled up on it, I did not know at first if it was a male or a female. (Ended up being a female). Anyway- it was a horrible experience. I am not sure why I continued with this appt. at all to be honest. I am not one to leave reviews- but my biggest concern here is that MY BLOOD was all over everything. That is unsanitary and made me wonder if someone elses blood may have been on these tools also? It's just gross and I would hate to have anyone encounter something like that. please go somewhere else. That place is not sanitary AT ALL. read more
