So Josh and his two colleagues phoned us on our moving day to tell us they were running ahead of schedule, and if we wanted them to come a bit earlier they could. What a pleasant surprise! Our old apartment was in the kind of sketch part of Vanier, and Josh & co took good care to make sure none of our stuff got jacked while they were moving it in. And hot damn, they were efficient! They loaded all of our stuff in like half an hour tops. When we got to our new place, the guys were equally as efficient, despite the fact that we had a lot of going up and down stairs to deal with. They never nicked the walls, and damaged nothing. They were just friendly, quick, efficient, and overall delightful. Did I mention they were inexpensive? We ended up tipping the guys twice as much as we had budgeted for because we were just so happy with them. I pray we don't have to move again for a long time, but if we do, I know we'll be calling these guys again. We would highly recommend Two Guys and a Cube Van to anyone!

Best Moving Experience Ever…read more This was absolutely the best moving experience I've ever had, and I've moved a number of times. The team was on time, quick, exceedingly careful, and also pleasant to deal with. All very nice guys. And they got me moved an hour under the quoted time, which was a nice bonus. Can't imagine there is a better moving company in Ottawa.

The movers showed up on time ,were very pleasant and knew exactly what they were doing. By that I mean ALL of them were expert. Having moved seven times in roughly fourteen years, I can attest to the quality and expertise First…read moreRate Movers brings to the table - especially when compared to other companies we've dealt with. In our experience with them, there's only ever been one hitch, and they made a point of rectifying the issue immediately and to our complete satisfaction--one of the benefits of working with a fully insured, honest, and ethical company. Furthermore, not only have their estimates been bang on for the three last moves we had with them, but their level of organization and attention to detail cannot be beaten. And all of that at market-competitive rates. What more could you ask for? Simply put, First Rate Movers not only live up to their name, but in my opinion, they are without equal. They are the only option for us, and I don't see that ever changing. Do you want pros? Look no further. Do you want a great price and exceptional overall value? They're your guys. And lastly, if anything does go sideways, do you want a company that will take care of you? You bet. Rest assured, they will make it right--on the spot without delay. Positively fantastic. Cheers to you, guys.

We had a great experience with Marc and his team. I…read moreidentified 3 well rated moving companies and contacted them. One did not respond at all. The second one wanted me to provide a detailed list of items to move - instead of coming to see us and providing a quote. And the third one - Top Notch (Marc the owner) - contacted us quickly and setup a day/time to come and talk to us, and assess clearly what needed doing. Marc showed up and I liked his honest approach immediately. He was very upfront, took notice of special items, asked many questions and told us, with great sincerity, how great his team was. I knew from that meeting that I would go with Marc. Moving day came - and - due to pretty severe illness 1 week prior to our move - we were behind on our packing. Marc and his team were wonderful and got us moved regardless. His team was fabulous: friendly, happy, fast, efficient, and careful. We really enjoyed dealing with them. I had a number of precious pieces of furniture that they were very aware of and very careful with. (Note: I had gotten appraisals and purchased insurance via Top Notch for these items and this is an important step, as the standard move insurance is by the pound and will not come close to covering actual replacement costs for anything of any value.) It was all moved without incident. I enjoyed listening/watching them work. They worked/communicated as a team, and moved with quiet efficiency. Really, I can't say enough good things about our experience.

I would give ZERO star if I could. I do not recommend this company…read more I've moved many times and this is the first horrible experience I've encountered with any moving company. When it comes to moving, Ottawa Pro Movers showed no professionalism and care. They damaged the walls and door frame at the old address. They also did not wrap all of the furniture in blankets. My leather sofa, leather bed, massage chair and dining table arrived at the new address all damaged. The sofa had damages in 7 spots. They even lost the shelving from a media cabinet! At the end of the move, one of the crew had the audacity to say that nothing was damaged so no need to inspect then they quickly left. The move ended up taking 7.5 hrs which is unexpectedly long for a 2-bedroom. I am puzzled how they have A+ rating on BBB and near 100% 5-star rating on Google reviews. If they are so amazing, then how come the crew that did my move were so bad and my experience is so awful that I feel I've been robbed? Perhaps I should have requested or confirmed that I was getting the same crew who got the great reviews. Definitely stay away from Ottawa Pro Movers if you don't want your belongings to be damaged. There is absolutely nothing "Pro" about them. They will make your move more stressful and full of frustration even when the move is over.
