Ottawa Pro Movers is great. We approached our move from the San Francisco Bay Area to Portland, OR with a lot of trepidation, having read many horror stories. However our move with Ottawa Pro Movers went extremely smoothly and nothing was broken or damaged. We did a 3 phase move of our 3 bedroom house: Move out, Ottawa Pro Movers for 2 months, Move up to Portland. All three phases went smoothly and nothing was lost despite going on and off the truck twice. Leo managed the move out crew and efficiently emptied our entire house in just 3 hours. The move into our Portland house was very challenging with a long steep driveway and then a full flight of stairs. Their crew of 2: Ivan (who also helped with the move out) and Javier did a fantastic job of coping with the driveway and stairs and got all our possessions into the new house safely and without any damage at all. The move out was local so T&M, which sounded risky, but the final price came in approximately the same as the original estimate, with no attempt to add in extra time or charges. The interstate move was a fixed price quote (it ended up being two vehicles because our stuff was over the single vehicle weight limit), and the final charge was exactly as quoted, despite the driveway and stairs. The office quickly responded to any questions and requests I had, alleviating some of the anxiety I had. It was the first time I had used movers, and based on my experience with Ottawa Pro Movers, I will definitely be using a moving company on my next move (sadly, I can't use Ottawa Pro Movers because I am now outside the area they primarily serve). The movers arrived on time and wasted no time getting started. I had most of my belongings already packed and ready to go. One of the movers proceeded to load up the truck while the other expertly wrapped my furniture and television. I had been prepared to have at least one thing break (like the glass on a frame), but when I unpacked everything, I found everything had survived the move. One of my concerns had been the fact I was paying by the hour, but the movers were very efficient, and they finished moving everything up a staircase into my second floor apartment quickly. I had anticipated paying for another couple of hours and ended up giving a nice tip for their efforts and how easy they had made this move. I highly recommend this company, especially considering the reasonable rates they charge. I price shopped several moving companies, and Ottawa Pro Movers had the best pricing. I have relocated over 10 times in my lifetime and this was the easiest best move ever. Very professional and experienced staff. They pack like they are packing their own possessions. And efficient- Don't sit too alone or they will pack you. They packed (carefully) and loaded the truck in one day finishing mid-afternoon. Unloading was just as professional. All teams are extremely courteous. But the best part is the pricing. More reasonable than any mover I've ever worked with. The price they give you and agreed upon is the price you pay. We were supposed to do much of the packing, but they had to finish on the day of the move and this is where companies usually get you - on the non-negotiated Extras. But not this group. Frankly, I was expecting the worse given all they had to do, but I was so pleasantly surprised. Super quickly and accurately dismantled and packed every items and transported them to the new place. The efficiency was pleasantly surprising. I used Ottawa Pro Movers recently for a relatively small move. I thought it would be expensive but the price was quite reasonable. Dan was very friendly and helpful in arranging everything and answering all my questions. On the day of the move, Steve and Jacob were amazing. They dealt with my parents in a very caring and professional way (and were quite humorous too). They put down runners so the floor wouldn't get dirty and assembled the furniture so we could decide how we liked the positioning of our furniture. The move went very smoothly and my parents and I were very happy with the outcome. Extremely efficient, pleasant staff, for a very reasonable price. The movers, Yuri, Alex,, and Andrew were very hard working with minimal breaks which had also been the case with the packers the day before our actual move day. Even though it was extremely cold, they were pleasant throughout the day. Yuri, said packing the truck was like playing the video game Tetris and he was an expert at it. Alex and Andrew who carried the heavy loads never once bumped the walls or ceiling. Our only suggestion was that it would have been nice to have a little more information about what was in each box - it took two days to find our coffee pot. Don't regret our money spent absolutely! We did a move to Barrie and hired a team of two. An hourly rate is 119 for 2 movers. It's was one from the most adequate prices among all the companies we contacted. The task was to deliver safely all the furniture from my parents' house and Mike with his co-worker did a great job! They helped to pack, load and finally unload all the belongings. All the furniture were delivered without any damage. This was my first order in Ottawa Pro Movers company. It was necessary to move a refrigerator, 2 wardrobes and a large mirror to a cottage near Ottawa. The car was ordered for 6 p.m. At 10 to 6 p.m. it was already standing at the entrance. The movers took everything out and loaded it without any questions. And I was also pleased that tharee were an opportunity to order a packaging buble wrap for the mirror. It's about 50 miles from my house to the cottage. I was very worried that the mirror wouldn't arrive in one piece. Everything has arrived)) There were no scratches or chips on the furniture or on the mirror. I was very satisfied. I ordered the moving of a motorcycle. The bike didn't come as planned, so the order was urgent. I had to deliver it from Ottawa to the suburbs. I took the motorcycle to the registration and then to the parking lot. Turned here and within an hour of calling, the motorcycle was picked up. The bike came rimmed and they carried it like that. They helped me with the loading/unloading as well as the removal of the crate. Thank you very much for that. Prices are reasonable and adequate, not cheap but not expensive. Excellent service. My movers were prompt, professional and efficient. The fees were reasonable for the service received (half of the first quote I received when looking for movers). I had to step out the morning of my move leaving friends to manage things for the first half hour- wasn't a problem. I only wish I knew their names so I could give more kudos here. All my furniture was wrapped for its protection, they also disassembled and reassembled my heavy wooden sleigh bed. Much appreciated! There was a flat fee for moving into a walkup. This was about as painless as it gets! I hired Ottawa Pro Movers to help move around some heavy furniture between 3 rooms in my house, including moving a very heavy elliptical trainer from the basement to the 2nd floor! Jammale and Saiku arrived on time and got right to it. They were professional and fast. The only thing that could have gone a bit smoother was that the elliptical wouldn't quite fit up the 2nd floor staircase. I hired ottawa pro movers for my move and didn`t regret it. The movers were efficient and the service was excellent. I was mostly worried about them carrying my appliances. My washer and dryer were located in the basement and the stairs are pretty narrow. I was worried they will damage the walls and I was moving out of my friend`s house, so didn`t want any damage left behind.
