I had a sink faucet, 3 ceiling lights, 4 breakers, and 2 electrical outlets that I needed…read moreinstalled. O'Keefe had installed a sink about a month before and did a good job, so I hired them back. This time was not a good experience. After canceling me twice they showed up 3 days later (2 O'Keefe servicemen), but they did not have the parts to do the sink. This was disappointing; it was the exact setup to the one they had already done; there were no surprises and no reason to not know what to expect. So they hung the three lights, which took about 3 hours, did the breakers (1 hour) and left. They completed work for the day at 1:30 (including taking an hour lunch break), and were in a hurry to get out of there. They came back 4 days later and did the sink and the outlets...about 2 more hours work. The work quality was good (although the outlets were not grounded properly), but the cost was not. The owner (Bill O'Keefe) charged a full day for both of his men for the first day - $600 for about 4 total man hours work. Again, they ran out at 1:30. He then charged me a few hundred more to come back and complete what they did not finish. I have no idea why he sent two guys. All the work could have been done in one day by the one guy...but Bill charged me for a full day for both guys. One guy pretty much did all the work; not sure the other guy really did anything. I asked him for a cost breakdown and he confirmed this to me. When I asked why the cost was so high, Bill said he factored in travel time, that they had to take the lights apart etc, and some hardware. But when I look at the big picture, I can't get past the fact that I got at most 8 hours total work but was charged for approximately 2 full man days labor cost. I think I ended up being charged alot more than was fair, and therefore I would hesitate to use O'Keefe Service Company again.

I have been homeless for 6 months or more now due to this property Management company. I lived in…read moredowntown Scranton for approx 10 years and was maintenance for the building. Five months after that I was served with a 10 day notice and told I owed them. I responded that I had not received credit for maintenance for the building. I was told at Magistrate level by Ron to make payments & we will work this out this was just a formally. It was clear in the court room he had fun for possession of property. So I fought back. Was offered money at the next level of court by them and I refused. I responded I wanted 5 months payment for the maintenance of the building. Was told no. And a date was set for eviction no payment will do not even payment in full. A constable will be there in x amount of days with us to remove me. They showed up before the said day mo constable gave me 15 minutes to get out I called the constable and was told he was not scheduled to be at my address. They threw out my personal property a week later. After contacting them within the by law 10 days. I was told he wasn't going to come down on a weekend and a dumpster was supposed to come Monday. I have struggled everyday. What they did and how they went about it was WRONG! And from the definition of the law ILLEGAL. I to this day remain homeless and pray someone sees this.

From the minor issues I've experienced the responses were answered within a half an hour and they came out the same day! The property manager actually came out just the other day and he was great. He talked to me and my neighbor explained the problem. The place is absolutely beautiful, my kids and I are happy and we hope to be here for many more years! Thank you Ron for everything!

The luxury apartments are beautiful ... but lack the luxury of the BASIC essentials of…read moreliving...quietness and heat. HEAT: Or lack there of... Expect EXPENSIVE electric bills and sleepless nights. The windows literally have cold air GUSTING in the winter months due to poor sealing. It is a historic building so windows are old and inefficient. Also they were never sealed properly during the building of the apartments. The layout for heating the spaces are poor. Heat vents at ceiling level so they do not actually heat anything except the ceiling. Electric bills are $200-300 a month at LEAST. And after paying all of that, you still will not be able to live in the apartment unless you are under a blanket in winter. We had to eat dinner in bed to survive. NOISE: those leaking windows also allow NOISE in, you can expect to hear the conversations of people walking by on the sidewalk , and consistent sirens at all hours of the night. You WILL NOT sleep. Construction and sidewalk cleanings are done after midnight and since the windows are paper think you WILL hear everything. If you don't like sleeping live here. Except to buy blackout curtains, ear plugs, or just stab yourself in the ears till you cannot hear. KICKER: The management is... suprise suprise... the WORST. Yes, Jessica I'm talking to you. You should NOT have this job. You do not understand how to run a business. What did you say when we, MODEL tenants, wrote a kind email the first time mentioning the issues with the window and requesting maintenance take a look... oh yeah.. you just suggested we MOVE. Seems like a normal response. Well we did, and we will NEVER advise anyone to live here.
