State Farm seems to offer more thorough coverage than a lot of other companies, and if you stick with them for a few years, the prices are actually LOWER than most other insurance providers. The office is located in the Energy Square building at University and Greenville Ave, very convenient if you live in The Village, go to SMU, or like to ride the DART. He made no attempt to even speak to her about lowering the plan, just a letter to cancel, and we always pay on time, never one late payment. It seems clear that we meant nothing to him. The next day we called another agent whom helped us get the same plan we had, with the coverage he originally over quoted and passed on, all at a lower rate. I decided that their quotes would save me nearly $200 a month so I agreed to continue to make the switch. I completed the auto policy just fine and selected that they notify my current provider of the change. I moved on to the home portion and the low quote was denied due to age of home. All of the home details were asked before I had gotten tot his point. The next option was nearly $2,000 more annually. Because of this, I had to then reach back out to my current provider to tell them to disregard the request to cancel my policy. Seemed like a bait and switch. If the home portion is not hard quote, then do not have me go through the auto portion before finalizing the home portion.

As a driver for Lyft, I needed a rental immediately with a vehicle that i could use for work. I was told by her insurance (Progressive) that she had rental reimbursement under her policy and that I could rent a car but would be be refunded until after repairs to my car was made. I was then left to pay for my rental every week until my car was ready. This was an inconvenience but I was assured by the agents that I would be refunded. My car took 27 days to repair. I rented a car and renewed 4 times in total ant $395 each time. Once it became apparent that the car would be ready I was told then (after roughly 25 days) that I would only relieve $30/day! Completely unacceptable. After complaining about this, I was given $40/day. Still not acceptable but by now I had used my savings and was working only to pay for the car rental and daily living expenses. I had no choice but to take this refund, planning on filing a complaint and pursuing the remainder of the balance of what is owed. I am not looking for extra, I would just like to be refunded what I was told that I would be refunded. Also hoping to hear if anyone else has had any issues like this, or positive resolutions.
