Met a friend here for a quick lunchtime bite and loved the concept, decor and ambience. Got a great table outside on a sunny day. Helped ourselves to free water too.
Alas I wasn't overjoyed with my udon noodles and chilli beef. It was a little bland and certainly not spicy. It was presented in a decent sized bowl and adorned with shredded iceberg, a few pieces of tomato and other garnishing veges, a big dollop of Japanese mayonnaise and the thin strips of beef on top.
It was tasty enough but nothing special. I was still hungry afterwards and I'm not a massive eater. It's not expensive at $11-$15 a bowl and there was a fair selection but I could see myself hurrying back. The opinion was shared by my friend who said 'it was ok, but just food really.' read more
