My children were immediately drawn in to the kids yoga and Ms. Erin (an educator and certified yoga instructor for children), so we looked up her business and started attending classes... now we are "regulars" wherever we can find BBKY. In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, BBKY offers virtual classes several time a day: baby and toddler yoga, kids yoga, storybook yoga, yoga and mindfulness summer camps for ages 7-12, dance classes, movement classes, and parent support workshops with health experts. BBKY is affordable and the classes are engaging and playful. Even online, my kids are still super engaged with Ms. Erin and love the warm, interactive environment she creates. They have learned breathing techniques, different yoga poses that they do with their loveys/animals, songs with movements, and relaxation (they *love* savasana!). Ms. Erin always says "anything your kid does is yoga" - this has helped me all day long when I am parenting my kids, not just in her classes. BBKY is a gem here in Chicago. Highly recommended.

What to say about Well-fit... I can say that I found Well-fit completely by accident as I prepared…read morefor my first triathlon. this is my story... When it comes to fitness and triathlons, I cannot say enough about Well-fit. At the end of 2016 I had signed up for my first Olympic distance Triathlon (2017 Chicago Triathlon). having never completed a Triathlon beforehand, not even a sprint distance, I did not realize what I had taken on. I also think that it is important to say that at the beginning of 2017 I could not swim to save my own life. I could not even swim half a lap in a 25yard pool without having to stop for a break. I had began training on my own for the beginning of the year. I began taking numerous swim lessons with the Chicago Park district, Chicago Blue Dolphins, and eventually with Well-fit. Not only was my swimming terrible, my running was poor and my biking was still not very impressive. When I first started running I was running 13.5min/miles. I could not make it half a block without stopping because I was tired. I could say my running was jut as bad as my swimming. After six months of training on my own I have to say that I still felt unprepared, and I was skeptical as to whether or not I'd be able to actually complete the triathlon without drowning. That is when I began searching for a triathlon center to hopefully join and I could spend the last three months with proper training. I searched the internet on a daily basis with no luck in finding a place that would suit my needs. One day, I had uncharacteristically logged in to Facebook when I saw a post that the Transamerica Chicago Triathlon had posted and I saw that a Triathlon center by the name of Well-fit Triathlon commented on the post. seeing as how I was looking for a training center to join that also had a beginner friendly program, I decided to look them up. After doing my research on them, I decided that they had everything I was looking for. It took me a few weeks to finally decide to join. I had emailed the owner and one of the coaches with numerous questions that may have seemed silly coming from a beginner who knew virtually nothing about triathlons but every question was quickly and graciously responded too, and they took their time in explaining the process and the programs they offered. After a couple days of mulling it over, I decided to sign up. I then began going to classes and training. The program was incredible I thought and the prices were very reasonable. We had coached training three days a week and a training program was built around our training days so we can continue and progress on days were did not have coached training. The program took us all the way up to the very week of the 2017 Chicago Triathlon and Well-fit followed each and every one of their athletes the entire step of the way. From the very first day of training up until the post race celebration Well-fit did all they could to support the athletes. All the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Even the other athletes were helpful and willing to pass on advice. They knew a lot about the sport which In turn made them all great athletes to train with. My training coaches were Coach Ted. Coach Lauren, and Coach Mauricio and they did and excellent job. Kudos to them, and because of my awesome experience I will be signing up for more programs. With the help of Well-fit I ended up finishing my first Olympic distance triathlon with a time of 3hrs 23mins. That exceeded my personal goal of 4hrs. When I got out of the water I was not tired, I was able to complete the bike without completely burning out my legs and still had enough energy left in me to complete the 10k run with no stops and no walking. I was impressed with my performance and will continue to work on my technique and my timing with the help of well-fit. As I said before, I cannot say enough about Well-fit and I encourage anyone who is thinking of joining a training center to give this place a chance.

I've wavered for a long time whether to join, having enjoyed XSport very, very much. However, Well Fit is great even if you're not training for a triathlon! The gym is clean, very friendly, always available. You never must worry about getting to a machine or weights. Remember, they don't have a lot of "machines" which is the beautiful thing. I've learned that using free weights and a ball or whatever helps you get in shape much more quickly. The staff is just fantastic, I mean the BEST. Sharon the owner always has a smile and a word of encouragement, as does Keith and the rest of the staff. The members are fantastic. They are courteous and kind, friendly and thoughtful. There are no egos which overwhelm here. It's worth it to join here for the cleanliness of the facilities, the friendliness and knowledge of the staff, and the tremendous members who make it a warm and inviting gym. With those factors, it makes you want to go to the gym more often!!!! GREAT VALUE! Sharon...longer hours would be nice!

When I first tried the workout I was intrigued by the soft surface, because I'd never experience running like that. You actually hook into the machine with a Velcro strap that you wrap around your waist and fall forward! The machine has TRX straps on the sides and can be used to do a variety of strength and core building exercises. As a former OrangeTheory member, I was use to the High Intensity Interval Training portion of the class, but the machine itself was very unique. It has an air cushion that you can adjust to increase the difficult of your workout! They have a heart rate monitor system that shows you the results of your workout much like OrangeTheory but overall the workout is really amazing! It is definitely intense! I recently tried their beach surface which allowed me to burn over 800 calories and really challenged me to utilize muscles in my legs, calves and feet that I don't often use during regular workouts. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming! I would definitely recommend Sproing to anyone looking for a quality low impact muscle taxing workout that will leave you feeling energized and invigorated! Proud to be apart of the Sproing Family :)

We've both been on an exercise kick recently and she ensured me that Sproing was an excellent workout. During the first of my two workouts of the weekend, I found myself trying to adjust to the machine. It's a cross between a treadmill and a mattress. While the floor of the machine took a little getting used to, I was also facing backwards and strapped in, which made the whole thing a little odd at first. We sprinted, worked our core, did pushups, and used weights. It was a good, high impact workout that centered around interval training. Once I had a feel for the place, my second workout was even better. Cullen was an awesome instructor and he really kept us motivated, encouraging us to push ourselves until the last second. We could see if we were heeding to his advice by watching the big screens in the studio that showed us in real time how we were doing, based on our heart rate monitors. I got a great sweat in over that weekend thanks to the instructors and I found the desk staff to be very welcoming and helpful. The space is clean and new, the bathrooms are spotless and very "homey", and the equipment is sanitized regularly. This is a unique workout for sure and it can be tailored to your fitness level. Try it out if you have time.

He knows my physical state better than I do, and always ensures that I do not exceed my capabilities while still giving me a more challenging workout than I would do on my own. His focus is not just strength, but an all around fitness that includes balance speed and stamina. This has paid off for me over the years as I was able to recover without injury from slips and near falls on ice or a slippery marble staircase. Each time that happened, I thought "Thank you, Eldin!" as I estimated what it would have cost in medical and dental bills had I not been in sufficient shape to prevent the accident, and I realize True Fitness has paid for itself many times over.

I just signed up for a session after passing by their business and thinking "great! A women's gym that focuses on strength!" Not so, and the class leader was downright hostile to me because I couldn't keep up after telling her my cardio sucks because I've been not exercising for a year (health issues). Then she got all ableist on me (fake concern when I shared a health condition that in no way impacted my ability to lift actual weight, just intense cardio) I haven't felt so physically bad after an exercise session in I can't remember when. This is not a strength training program, it was cardio and calisthenics with small weights sometimes. No barbell work. Nothing new at all here. I'm most upset that there was no response at all to my email. I got a message telling me "how did you like your session?" I responded to that question in detail and sent it to the reply-to email. Completely ignored. Oh and then I couldn't walk down stairs for 4 days because of DOMS from the sole emphasis on quads. I felt pressure to keep up even after sharing my inactive history. She focused exclusively on quads for an hour. If you want encouragement, this is NOT THE PLACE. After all that she's telling me to get a trainer. Hello? I'm in a group session because it's affordable. I was expecting weightlifting. You know reps and sets, with maybe 3 or four muscle groups, not stretches and calisthenics focusing ONLY on quads for a whole hour. It was lower body day but my glutes didn't get any attention at all. No deadlifts or farmer's carry or anything similar. If there are prerequisites, they should be spelled out. If you get a new person signed up, don't act all perturbed that they're there cramping your style. Maybe contact them a few hours ahead of time instead.
