My son attends this daycare center & all staff are so amazing! We love love Ms Angela and Ms Jasmine so much!! Every staff has such great smiles and loves working with all the children. My son experience a red/ purple color on his arms and legs and immediately the entire staff did all what was needed to do to make sure my son was okay. In January of 2020 my son was at the Vista location for weekend respite. I dropped him off and his skin was perfect. I always pack a t-shirt with his clothing. I picked him up on Sunday evening and he wasn't wearing a T-shirt. They informed me that he did get a shower that morning. We had an event to get to and got home late. Monday as I am giving him a bed bath I flip him on his side to discover burns on his back. They were already scabbed over. It was the pattern of a bath chair mesh and looked intentional! The ONLY place that it could've happened was at together we grow. I immediately took him to the hospital and filed a police report. CPS investigated but said because my son couldn't state what happened they couldn't do anything. I have not heard a word from Together We Grow about what happened or an apology. This Care center is a joke, First time i brought my 3 month baby last October I'll constantly show up unexpectedly because I wanted to see the conditions my baby was they will always had me waiting in the lobby and take forever to bring her out she be crying so much one time I asked for a tour inside because they never did in the first place i signed her up. finally I went inside everything looked okay just creepy caretakers would just stare really weird last time I said no more was when I dropped my baby for like an hour and they called me after 30min saying that she couldn't stop crying I picked her up she was crying so much it was really bad. after that decided to keep her home with me never went back and the sad part is that i never got a check up call or anything at all they just kept charging my provider all this time. all they cared for was money. so sad read more

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. My son started at Together We Grow 2.5 years ago. Coming from an educational background, I have a very 'particular' eye for different learning centers. Likewise, I am a total psycho-helicopter parent. With that being said, words can't express how I feel about this facility. The teachers; My son started with Ms. Karina in the one year old classroom. Boy was she something special. She is so calm and kind. She has patience like a saint, and I got the sense that no behavior was ever too big for her. She believes in your little and works so hard at making sure they hit all their beginning developmental milestones. Honestly, when my son graduated out of her classroom, I thought no-one could ever replace her. Then my son moved to the two year old class. There he had Ms. Olivia and Ms. Bella. Ms. Oliva moved up classrooms and my heart broke. She too was so kind, collected, and just had this calm sense of being. Although it was a brief moment that he had her, he expressed how much he loved her and how nice she was. Ms. Bella took over her classroom and that's when I fell even more in love with TWG. Ms. Bella is exceptional! I have been teaching for thirteen years and she has educational wisdom far beyond her years (and honestly mine). She really learns what makes your child tick and hons in on it. I could fill this entire review with examples of how she took my son's interests and capitalized on them to help ease the daily transition into the classroom. Just like Ms. Karina, she has patience beyond human existence. She often sits next to him until he falls asleep at naptime, she takes the time to talk to him about learning moments, she has helped me work though parenting challenges, she reinforces manners, makes learning exceptionally fun, believes in him, and loves a good theme day! She feels safe to my son; she feels like a second mom (definitely a more cooler one). Shoot I feel like she's sometimes my second mom guiding me through the terrible twos and the three-anger year. Likewise, the CNA's that support the classrooms are awesome! All of them! Ms. Rojanna is full of life. Very spunky and is always making the kids giggle. She puts so much energy into playing with the kids; my son just loves teasing her and she definitely has taught him the 'street smarts' to life! We think she is responsible for his spicy personality! Lastly, we had our second child 11 months ago. Leaving her behind at five months was definitely a challenge. She was placed in Mrs. Ariele's classroom and my daughter literally glows when she sees her each morning. Mrs. Ariele is an angel; she beams with love. She is so gentle and just like the others so so so patient. I have observed my daughter literally shake with excitement when she sees her; a big smile always comes across her face. As a working parent, it makes your 'mom heart' feel so at ease. As for the rest of the staff, Ms. Kim is an amazing director. She takes the time to understand your family needs. She does whatever she can do to support your family and the students at her facility; it is one thing to claim your inclusive and it is another thing to be inclusive; she makes everyone feel included; she brings everyone together. She goes above and beyond to include everyone and makes every family feel important. She deserves the world for how hard she works for TWG. Equally, her right hand woman, Ms. Claudia, is always there to answer your questions. She never seems bothered when helping you and she greets all the kids each morning. It is so important for a child to feel noticed right when they enter school and she surely does that. She actually makes even the parents feel noticed. I have had so many personal conversations with her and boy does she give the best advice! She is an asset to TWG. I have probably lost most readers at this point, but let me end with the facility is beautiful, safe, clean, and there are optional family events every couple of months. There is a sensory room, which my children love, a large outdoor space, a tire swing, and bike tracks. I have referred two different families to TWG and they too feel like they hit the jackpot! The only reason why we are leaving TWG is we are moving out of state. In making this big family transition, the only thing I am sad about is leaving this place. My career, home, and friends can be replaced but I imagine it will be hard to duplicate all that my children received at this facility. Thank you TWG for being so magical. My son has been going to Together We Grow since he was about 5 months old. He is now almost 9 months and I can honestly say I am SO happy I found this place. As with most new moms I was so afraid to leave him in anyone's care... but I gave it a try. My son LOVE LOVE LOVES Miss Karina and so do I! It is such a relief to find a place where I can be comfortable taking my son and that he enjoys being there. He's always tired when he comes home because he spends his days learning new things, painting, playing outside and hanging out with his little friends! My child went here for daycare for about three months before we moved him. Being first time parents, my husband and I were not sure what level of expectations we could have for a daycare, and on our initial visit, Together We Grow seemed like a really wonderful place; one staff member from another classroom was on her break and came to have some baby time in the infant room. We thought that was great that they cared about the kids that much. We signed our infant up immediately. When our child started, we realized that while we really liked most of the staff, there was one person there whose personality clashed with both of ours, but since she seemed competent we accepted it was just that. We weren't fully satisfied but suspected that maybe no parents are ever fully satisfied with their kids' daycare. Eventually we had an issue with how a complaint was handled that led us to seek other daycare. After moving our child to a new daycare, we were able to look back on the experience at Together We Grow with more of a reference to figure out what made our parent senses tell us to move our child. First of all, many times when we'd pick up our son, or, when I was nursing, stop by during the day, he'd be either crying or sitting in a swing, but often both. Nearly the only time we saw him not in a swing was when we dropped him off. I understand infants are a little boring and not mobile enough to do anything, but I also understood that to be one of the reasons their tuition is more expensive than that for older kids. Secondly, they are not what I would call "supportive" of nursing mothers. I was fortunate to work nearby and would often visit on my lunch break to breastfeed and would have to do it in my car. I suppose I could have hogged their bathroom for that half hour but I'm not sure if that option was much better. Factor that in with some unenlightened questions about why I was breastfeeding and bothering coming on my lunch break to do so and you have one annoyed nursing mom (and supportive dad). For the price we were paying (I saw a sign saying they have new lower rates now), in hindsight, I would think they would have a small private area we could have used. Finally, when I'd go to pick up my child, I'd have to pack up all his things. I thought this was fine and sort of part of the arrangement until we got to the new daycare and every day all his empty bottles and dirty clothes are ready to go. It takes me about three minutes to leave from the new daycare, but at Together We Grow it took closer to between five and ten. I've also come to realize that even though the staff is completely competent, there were some who I didn't get the feeling enjoyed caring for my child but were doing it just as a job. I understand now that there are caregivers out there who I will feel treat my child almost like family while I am at work, and that is a truly valuable thing that I was unable to find at Together We Grow. read more

I read the other review and felt the need to write a review that gives a more accurate and honest view on the current Together We Grow. Clearly the school was under different management when the other person wrote her review in 2011. Both my 2 and 3 year old go to Together We Grow and absolutely love it! I have used 2 other daycares in the past - one in Yorba Linda that was close to my old office and one in Encinitas. Together We Grow is BY FAR the best choice for childcare I have ever made! What I like most about the center is the staff. Because they have special needs children who predominately attend the school, the staff mostly consists of nurses or nursing assistants (whom all seem to be nursing students). The teachers all have varying levels of higher education so the integrity of the school as a whole is much higher than your average "daycare" where most of the staff consists of very young girls whose experience is mainly through babysitting rather than actual child development. When my 2 year old was at their old school in Encinitas, she was constantly getting diaper rashes on a daily basis and I felt she wasn't hitting her developmental milestones as easily as her sister or as she did prior to leaving the Montessori school they attended in Yorba Linda. Two weeks after starting at Together We Grow (age 18 months), her speech improved dramatically - she was singing, counting, and reciting her ABCs. And, to this day she has not had a diaper rash since leaving the old school! The staff's attentiveness and commitment to my 3 year old finally got her to stop having potty accidents. She is also more obedient and uses her language skills to express her feelings. She is only 3 and already knows her months of the year, what the date is, her colors, and can identify the weather! I also like they stay well under ratio so the teachers and aides are never overwhelmed and all the children get plenty of attention and proper oversight. I joke and tell people I feel like I have a personal nanny! The school also has someone at the front desk at all times so I can call at any time and not get an answering machine or a teacher answering in a very noisy classroom. Also, the school is SO CLEAN!! At my girls' old school, I would pick them up filthy with dirty faces. I figured that was normal. But at Together We Grow, they don't have a sand box so their clothes and faces don't get dirty and they keep the classrooms almost hospital grade clean. I'm sure it's because of the special needs kids. My husband and I joke that their sweatshirts can go 3-4 uses before needing a wash as opposed to 15-30 mins before needing a wash at their old school. If you want your child to develop and learn and not just be babysat while you're at work, you MUST take them to Together We Grow! read more

It's really ironic that my son, as a new born, went to the location in Kearny Mesa. When I saw that they opened one a few blocks from my house in Vista I was very excited. As soon as I walked in his first teacher was there and remembered him. Kim the new director is amazing along with my son teacher Miss Cat! The center is new and they keep it spotless. I really love the out door play area and sensory room. I have three kids and have had all types of care from home day cares, centers, camps and live in nanny. I have to say out off all centers and care givers, this center is by far my favorite and my son loves it. read more

As first time parents my husband and I visited a lot of daycares before choosing the one that was right for our one year old. When we visited Together We Grow for the first time, we knew it was the one for us. We still checked out some other places, but we already knew our mind was made up. In just a few days we went back and signed up. Our son has been attending Together We Grow for over a year and loves his teachers and all of the staff. Everyone - teachers, RNs, LVNs, CNAs, the Director, admin staff, etc. - is wonderful, professional, and very caring. We trust this place very much and know that our child is always in good hands. The teachers always give us feedback on our son's development and learning, and the nurses always pay special attention to him when his asthma flares up. Respite.... define in the dictionary "a pause from doing something or for relaxation". My definition is similar. The meaning to me is peace of mind, a safe, warm & clean environment, friendly and caring staff, convenience, and most important, my son's happiness in respite. All that combined equals Together We Grow. My son started with TWG at the Oceanside branch at the age of 91/2 years old and sadly soon he is coming to the end of his journey with the TWG in San Diego because he is turning 21. I feel like TWG was a god sent to not only me but for my son. When he attends respite weekends, it benefits him to be able to have the separation from my husband and I. Everyone needs that, whether you are a typical or disabled person. As for me, it gives me date nights with my husband, being able to go places that are not so wheelchair friendly, to eat a meal or two without feeding another person at the same time, and simply to give me time for myself. When I pick my son up from respite, he has a huge smile on his face, which tells me he had a great weekend. I myself, feel rejuvenated and well rested. Let's face it... as a mother of a boy that has cerebral palsy, in a wheelchair, non-verbal, seizure disorder, and G-tube fed, no one can come close to the perfect care you give your child. In TWG I feel confident that as part of a team, the staff and I can be on the same level of care. The care that you so want and insist for your child. If a problem or concern arises, I have had all of it ironed out by working together with the staff in resolving it. I highly recommend this to anybody who is sitting at home with their child and feel like there could not be a place to leave their child with any disabilities or medical issues (for day care or respite). As a parent of a child with special needs, Together We Grow has been a lifesaver! My child has been going there for over 10 years and she loves it. The staff knows my child very well and gives her the best care possible. They are loving and kind and I trust them whole-heartedly. The staff is all very professional and any issues that come up are always handled quickly and with consideration to the child and the parent's needs. They have a beautiful new facility in Vista that accommodates all levels of needs and abilities. My son has been going to Together We grow for over two years and I can not say enough good things about it! The entire staff from the person that greets you at the front desk to the nurses to the Teachers are extremely professional and experienced. It is clean and beautiful with great resources like a cool sensory room with lots of fun things to explore. Most importantly, the class size is very small and I feel my son receives a tremendous amount of care, attention and love. He has historically had some delays due to prematurity but with the dedicated teachers at Together We Grow he has progressed with leaps and bounds. While I have always been happy with the school, I have noticed it has gotten even better within the past year with the new location and the introduction of a new teacher, Jamie, who is really remarkable. read more
