And by four, she was casually writing full sentences, while we were still trying to remember where we left our coffee. But the real magic of Kids town isn't just the academics. Her experiences at All Saints were invaluable in terms of social/emotional learning--academics were a huge bonus, even though that wasn't high on my list. You'll notice a few bad reviews--a lot of people were unhappy with the changes made by the new director (or the board, really). I get that change is hard, but sometimes we have to look at the bigger picture. Personally, I didn't think it was a big deal to stop having an outside person come in to do the music program, or to have the gym bus stop coming by--that was an extra cost that I didn't think was necessary. And the biggie--the tuition changes--yup, it sucks that it happened all at once after not raising their fees for two whole years. But now All Saints' prices are comparable with other local preschools. The convenient location and loving teachers make the cost totally worth it.
