They spoke to us by phone when our niece called for them and we declined the obvious "up sell" attempt! My wife declined the problematic new vent that would have cost additional money. We told them we would return in 10 minutes to pay for the service. According to or niece the serviceman became extremely upset and rude as soon as we declined the additional work. We arrived a few minutes later and paid for the "cleaning"...$179.00. My wife called the company who confirmed that the employee had been a problem in the past and would be disciplined or terminated. This review is long overdue. Back in January I needed to change out the old gas log in my…read morefireplace. Honestly it was ugly and as I learned from Brad and Trent, it was also toxic. Good thing I never tried to use it! One of the main reasons I recommend All Points Chimney Service is for their knowledge and integrity. When I bought my house, the inspector didn't say anything about the gas log being so old that it would probably give me carbon monoxide poisoning. So, I really appreciate that Brad pointed that out. I also didn't know when the last time the fireplace was used or if it needed to be cleaned. Brad let me know that the chimney was pretty clean and "cleaning" it and charging me for it, wouldn't be ethical. Just another reason I really appreciate them. I knew I wanted to replace the old gas log with fire glass. However, I think my design aesthetic is a bit extra. Not only did I want fire glass, but I wanted a lot of it. I had seen in other family members houses so much fire glass that it covered the box and made it look like it was spilling out of the fireplace. I ended up ordering the extra fire glass through Amazon and Brad and Trent were willing to put in the extra glass for me. I was really happy with how it turned out.
