A few times while sitting in the waiting room, several patients have shared their stories of past experiences with other oral surgeons and discussed the vast improvements in their oral health once they found Dr. Quaroni. Whereas U.S. medical doctors seem to view patients as mere business customers more often, and don't bother to check up on them or treat them as equals, Dr. Quaroni is an exception to this decline of patient care and is, instead, exemplary in his care and treatment of his patients. A rare find, for sure.

I found Hill Country Oral Surgery on Yelp and Google and decided to give it a try. The office is clean and modern, with comfortable seating, Wi-Fi, and even a mini fridge stocked with water. The entire staff was amazing--from day one they made sure I had all the information I needed, and they were super helpful in checking in after the procedure to make sure I was doing well. Dr. Cavaretta really listened to my concerns, and because I was anxious, we chose to go the anesthesia route. Lizette and George (the day-of care team) were fantastic and made me feel completely at ease throughout. I was in and out quickly and am already anticipating a smooth recovery. Hopefully there won't be a next time, but if there is--I'm definitely coming back here!

After filling out endless online registration forms (seriously, "War and Peace" level paperwork), I still had more forms to complete when I arrived. I even planted the seed with the front desk, verifying I was in-network. They confirmed I was. But once I was called back--SURPRISE!--I was suddenly told I'm NOT in-network. This, after they had days to verify my insurance and contact me. Oh, and they casually mentioned they "don't verify insurance in-house." Based on Yelp reviews, this is a pattern with this office. Their billing practices are shady, misleading, and, in my experience, downright fraudulent. Now, I'm in intense pain, scrambling to find an actual in-network oral surgeon--meanwhile, UnitedHealthcare's provider directory is about 10% accurate (being generous). HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. After leaving 2 messages and finally speaking with someone I was told Dr. McFarling "doesn't do that". I said, she doesn't do follow ups?? The front office person I spoke to couldn't elaborate on what it is she couldn't do and refused to schedule a follow up for my child. Between the ER communication and this office I want to lose my mind. We were specifically told to see a pediatric OMFS, this one told the ER that we could follow up there in a week but then decided no which creates more chaos and stress during an already sensitive and stressful week. There is zero compassion, they were not helpful at all.

So after a recommendation, I decided to reach out to Dr. Largent's office and see if I could get my wisdom teeth out pretty soon from the time of the call. They not only got me seen right away for a consultation, but then I was able to be seen for the extractions right away (which I needed with my busy schedule and the amount of pain I had been experiencing). Not only was I treated incredibly well, but also after talking to Dr. Largent and his staff, all my anxieties about getting the teeth removed were also removed :) The following week, I had the extraction, and it was incredible. I mean extractions are not fun experiences, and I had a minor anxiety attack, and Dr. Largent and his team immediately helped me breathe and feel relaxed. I was definitely freaking out and they made me feel better and not embarrassed. The extraction was easy and the recovery process was even easier. They not only made the experience wonderful, professional, and memorable, but also we got to talk about music (he's a musician!) and they made the whole surgery super affordable for me (they truly took care of everything!) I can't recommend them enough. Grateful for them, wish I went to them when I had my lower widsom teeth extracted! Love y'all forever!

The nurse and Dr Ricardo Garza were stellar in making the whole process bearable-they even had a thoughtful and ingenious contraption for home use in securing ice packs to the face! I usually hate IVs but Dr. Widner did it so well that I didn't even feel it. I was also nervous about the anesthesia because I'd never gone under any type of surgery before but it was a breeze and they explained everything well. All of the staff was very kind pre and post op, and the post-op surgical assistant even gave me a warmed blanket while I came off the anesthesia. She also explained all of the after care to me and my caregiver and answered all of our questions. The front office was great about scheduling my post-op appointment around my travel schedule. In fact, I'd say that suffering with a tooth that was prone to getting food stuck in it was worth than having it removed. Dr. Voorhees has a terrific sense of humor and extremely skilled. He administered my IV and in minutes I was out and the next thing I knew I was being escorted to the recovery area. All I remember of the procedure is feeling a mild bit of discomfort and groaning a little after which there was a pause and I don't remember anything else. My only regret is not having Dr. Voorhees take these troublesome teeth out sooner. You will not be disappointed with the level of care.
