He is: a master craftsman an amazing painter extremely precise willing to listen and will hear what you are saying/requesting reasonably priced honest and trustworthy a true pleasure to work with dependable a great communicator We hired him based on his exceptional ratings/feedback. Initially, we needed a handyman to install baseboards in our kitchen/family room. After discovering what a gem he is, we also hired him to: Install LVP in multiple rooms Correct problems left by another kitchen contractor Paint multiple rooms and exterior Install crown molding Create a new fireplace mantle Install a new cabinet/sink in our powder room Install custom wainscoting in our powder room Remodel our laundry room Paint existing cabinets Paint our entryway stair railing and chandelier The list goes on and on ... you get the idea. Roger does it all. Again, his prices are fair and his work is exceptional. We consider him part of the family. Our pets love him and he even took care of our cat while we were on vacation. We have many more projects that we will hire him to do. But he is very popular and we, unfortunately, need to share him with others.

Solomon was on the slow side getting back to us to schedule the work. The deck boards he installed…read morewere warped, uneven, damaged, and not even installed flat. He claimed to have fixed the deck support but all he did was place one of our landscaping rocks under one corner which we could have done ourselves. Attached photos show the end result that he left us with. It seems like it was due to bad materials more than lack of skill but it should not have been what we were left with. We reached out that night to let him know we were not satisfied with the work and and after some difficult and delayed communications, he did agree come back and make it right. two weeks later he replaced the deck boards again. This time it was done right, as it should have in the first place. We really appreciate his willingness to come back and correct the mistakes. We're happy with the re-do but probably will not hire him again due to this negative experience overall.

Arranged a time for them to show up and do some work. They didn't show. Simple as that. They also…read moredid not respond to any contact attempts on phone, e-mail, or Yelp after the appointment was made. It's been four days now and I haven't heard from them. In all honesty the silence is so deafening I'm hoping no one is hurt or otherwise out of things due to something unfortunate. Looking back I can see that they said the appointment was 'tentative', and that they'd call ahead of time. Fair enough. That bothers me a lot less than the complete silence afterwards. Without any kind of response one way or another I had to assume they were coming, and sit around all day waiting for it to happen. Edit: I was finally contacted six days later and after posting this review. The business owner was very upset because of this review. They claimed I was lying, they threatened me with using slander laws against me. In the interest of full disclosure I will reprint all the relevant details of our communication and you can decide. Regardless, I am within my rights to write a bad review of a business that I feel treated me poorly. Even if I'm wrong. So, good Yelpers, you decide: Me: (Initial request for quote based on work, unnecessary to reprint) Business: Hi Jay, Booked out until next week, but could you provide the service address, for that's how we schedule? (They listed their rates. I won't reprint that because they may change them in the future or for specific jobs) Let us know your thoughts and we'll go from there. Thank you for your time. Me: Next week is fine, (contact info I won't reprint here) Business: Hi Jay, How does Monday between 8:30 and 9 sound? Me: Monday is our daughter's first day of school, so not a great day. Wednesday morning I'm busy. Otherwise the rest of the week is open. Business: We can tentatively set it for Tuesday at 9 Me: That sounds good. Business: Alright, you're in there and this is for the actual work correct? You're list was pretty descriptive and we'll come as prepared as possible less any speciality materials we'd have to go get. Me: (details of the job, not necessary to reprint) Business: Will attempt to call you prior to appointment sir. That was the last time I heard from them until after the review, then: Business: Very extremely rude of you sir to post such false things. Tenative means that we're still deciding if we want your jobs! We have the right to decide what work we take and your projects may not be a fit for us. We never made an agreed time out of respect for YOUR SCHEDULE but we are a business not your personal servant. Business: Very very rude Business: There are also SLANDER LAWS in this state sir. NOT FAIR that you have posted such things Business: We thhink it wise for you to delete the slander upon our company who are not your personal servants but a simple Service that you called for help but your schedule did did not match with the OPTIONS we only had available to you. I believe if you look at my original review and the communication there was not a single falsehood. I mentioned they said "tentative", but I also think their communication implied an appointment. You be the judge. They never refused me service, but honestly that would have been preferable. I never treated them like they were my "servants". I've worked with enough handymen and contractors to know that sometimes jobs aren't a fit. But setting an appointment, even tentatively, then never communicating again is unprofessional, and I will write a review for that.
