They also do a 2 for 1 offer on all meals, all day, so if you and a friend can't find anything you fancy on the £5 menu, you can still be sure of grabbing a bargain. It may not be the most exciting pub but you're guaranteed to get friendly service, huge comfy arm chairs and a good variety of drinks. It's a bit on the pricey side, and I wouldn't go out of my way to drink here, but if you work in Filton it's the best place for a cheeky mid-day pint.

I often drive past the pub after work to see many a car parked outside, so one day I popped in! I found the pub roughly split into two sections, the Sports Bar and the Family Section. The Sports Bar great for a lively Friday and the Family Area better suited for the Sunday Roast outing - which by the way I would highly recommend. Prices are reasonable all round and they have managed to build up a reputation for good, honest food. It's not official but I hear on the grape vine that The Beehive may have the biggest beer garden in Bristol - judge for yourself!

It was ok then - a little rough maybe but the lounge area wasn't so bad and they had a turn on most Friday and Saturday nights. Now, it's quite different - the lounge has a 'crowd' of ten to twenty people that are in there all the time, day and night. There's nothing wrong with that, or with them, but a crowd in a pub makes it seem 'rough', if you know what I mean. The drinks are reaonably priced, however, but there is little variety. Drugs are also a big problem in this pub. There used to be a nightclub attached, called Coutney's, but I think this has finally been closed down. I haven't seen much violence either inside or outside this pub, though, so it can't be so bad. Other pubs on the street are not much better, and one is even worse - I'd advise you either went down to the George at the bottom of Filton Avenue, or headed towards Gloucester Rd for a nicer pub.
