They are good to deal with but you need to be prepared for stuff to break down. Recalling my rentals over the years, I would say that there is a 60% chance that the maintenance issues made things take longer than they should. I am no master mechanic, but I am pretty handy and resourceful. I can usually make the repairs or figure out how to get around the problems. It usually ends with an apology and a discount on the rental. I have rented from places worse than this.

I came here for a paint-stripping heat gun because I read a good review of this place somewhere…read moreelse and they happened to be a) open and b) answering their phones when I called. It's k.o. a trek to get down to this part of town (I took the bus. It took 45 minutes), but the guys in this shop are super knowledgeable and helpful...they stayed open thirty minutes later than their advertised hours to help the people who had come in as they were closing, made supply recommendations that saved me a lot of money, etc. I didn't tell him much about what I was doing, so when I came in and told him what a nightmare my job had been he was k.o. upset and said I should have told him why I was there because he would have recommended [this and that product] that would have simplified things. Moral of the story: tell the people exactly what you are setting out to do, because they have a ton of knowledge and--for some reason/in this case--photos of what your options will yield. The guy at the counter asked me how I wound up at their shop and I said I read some good reviews and he said that they try to help everybody as much as possible...he seemed extremely proud that internet reviews were giving them new business, so I feel like I owe it to them to spread the word.

It was about $30 for the drill and bit, which would be a fair price if I was using the drill all day, but I only drilled 6 holes, which took me all of 5 minutes. Won a skid steer on eBay. Get there and of course the machine looks well neglected, but that's fine the price reflects that. Fire it up and the throttle is stuck wide open. I get out so my partner could check it out and A/C is not working, Look behind the belt gard and the A/C belt was previously removed and the A/C compressor was seized! The salesman, Bill, went into salesmen mode sounding like one of those sleazy used car dealers people laugh at on movies, Great Bill I don't care, I asked these questions and you lied. Debating if we should still buy it we walk by the undercarriage and notice a big chunk out of the front roller on the undercarriage, the undercarriage Bill said was good. Upon getting down the whole back side of that roller was bad. Debating on if we should buy it though highly turned off due to the lies, I offer him to buy parts only for the A/C compressor and that one roller (other side was on way out also, but that's fine at least it could be used, machine is not useable with broken rollers) I figured this would be fair since he said they were good, i'll eat the labor and the small parts involved. Anyway he told me he would not, So due to his LIES I wasted 7+ hours of my day, bank fees, and over $100 in fuel. I guess on the positive side I was able to get some white castle after. Stay away from places like this that go out of their way to hide / lie about things.
