Nomad offers no food just liquor and hookah. They also have cigars for sale but you're allowed to bring your own cigars. I had a Mango mint hookah which was considered to be one of their regular flavor options. The hookah was very flavorful and after about an hour - they changed the coals. The menu says that there's a 2 hour limit on the hookah. However my friend kept ordering drinks and therefore they didn't enforce that rule. You are allowed to bring food in and eat it as long as you're drinking. There are TVs inside and outside and there's music playing as well. The servers are attentive and friendly and I would come back.

They offer a nicely priced happy hour, if I remember correctly. They don't serve food. The drinks are pretty standard. I've never been wowed with my service here, but I've never been disappointed either. Nomad is pretty much a local neighborhood hookah spot that is just good enough. Would I go back? Sure I've been plenty of times! But don't expect fancy or glamour.

Visited Kitchen + Kocktails By Kevin Kelley in DC, and I'm already planning my return. This spot perfectly nails upscale casual dining - relaxed yet polished, with attention to detail everywhere. From the moment we walked in, the hosts greeted us with warm smiles and were incredibly polite and welcoming - such a great first impression. Our waitress, Jasmine, was absolutely unbelievable. She was on top of everything, attentive without being intrusive, and her professionalism truly stood out. It's rare to get service that flawless. Now the food - just wow. I ordered the Mississippi catfish and grits with a side of greens (I didn't realize the greens had turkey in them, but it was a delicious surprise!). My wife had the seafood platter and loved every bite. The drinks were a showstopper too. The Old Fashioned was beautifully presented, but the Lemon Drop's presentation was mind-blowing. Hands down, Kitchen + Kocktails is one of my top picks whenever I'm visiting DC. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for salty food and expensive drinks, this is the spot for you!…read more The interior decor was minimal but effective. Their Red Rose wall is definitely a perfect place for a cute photo op. The drinks were cute and strong - presentation is really their true speciality. However the food menu is very limited in my opinion but I guess It keeps the food cost low. The menu consists of: Catfish Salmon Chicken Crabs And sides... I even thought the side options were limited. If you are vegan, this really isn't the spot for you. I had the "Catfish & Grits" ($35) and my friend had the "Stuffed Salmon w/ Dirty Rice" ($39). The catfish was a little too salty for my liking and my friend stated that she didn't care for the taste of the salmon. On the bright side, service was great! Our server "Amber" did an excellent job! She was patient and gave great suggestions.

Is it fair for a regular to comment? Maybe... maybe not...but this is my favorite hookah bar in DC!…read more The service is great - I can note several of the bartenders by name (Yulia, Chrissy, JD, Simca just to name a few) and they recognize me -- so it's a local vibe for regulars, but open to new regulars! That said, there are busy nights (typically on the weekends) so you will need to be a little patient and may need to arrive earlier if you want a seat. That (also) said, I'll ask you - where can you get sushi and hookah? It's like the best combo of bougie and ratchet - I think they call it sophistiratchet. The hookah is consistent and reasonably priced when you consider some of the other spots who outsource their hookah to vendors and charge double the cost. The music is always good - ranging from current hits to afrobeats to oldies. Try it out and see what you think!!

Ordered a hookah the first one the brought had cloudy water and stuff floating in it. The 2nd one was better but burned harsh the whole time. The drinks were terrible. I got a margarita and all I tasted was sour mix. My friend got a lemon drop... again full of sour mix. The service was subpar, the waitress couldn't hear anything we asked and ran the our card without giving us an itemized bill. Didn't even bother with food.

It was very fun, the service was good, the drinks were hitting AND everyone in there was friendly & was just having a good time. I was literally like this is finna be my new spot. I ordered the steak & cheese egg rolls and they were very good! NOW- you might ask .. so why is your rating a 2? I was lowkey always a bit paranoid being at Allure because it's so dark & small little holes in the floor/seating ends. A big a* roach ran by my foot from the couches & it was as big as a water bug but it didn't fly. Then !!!!! My sister and friends went like two weeks after. They was the first ones there for HH guess what ran out? A RAT - a big a* one too. They also said the vibe was a bit different. Too much smoke (cigarettes, weed, hookah) all in one. I really hate that a rat ran by them inside because I would've went back. Now I just can't. To know that I had some of the food there makes me nauseous. If you are not scared of them, go for the drinks. That's all.

I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred at Rose Bar on Saturday, November 1st,…read morearound 11:48 PM on the second-floor bar (where DJ Ratchet was performing). There were two bartenders working at that time. The bartender in question was not the Asian woman, but rather a woman who appeared to be mixed with Black and White. Her behavior toward me and my husband was extremely unprofessional, inappropriate, and disrespectful. From the moment I approached the bar, she was unfriendly, dismissive, and gave me dirty looks. She then made a highly inappropriate comment toward my husband, stating that she was "out of strawberry Hennessy but sweet enough for him," and later propositioned him for sex in exchange for money. I ordered two drinks -- a Jolly Rancher and a Long Island. My drink had no alcohol in it, despite costing nearly $50 for both drinks. When my husband returned the drink to the bar and mentioned that it lacked alcohol, the bartender laughed and called me a "bitch." This experience left me deeply uncomfortable and disrespected, especially as a married woman. It is unacceptable for staff to engage in such inappropriate and sexually suggestive behavior toward customers. The bartender's actions made me feel unsafe and completely unwelcome, and I will not return to Rose Bar as a result. I am requesting that this matter be investigated immediately and that appropriate action be taken against the bartender involved. I also recommend that management review its employee conduct policies and sexual harassment training to ensure all patrons are treated with dignity and respect. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I am available to provide additional details if needed. Date of Incident: Saturday, November 1st Time: Approximately 11:48 PM Location: Second-Floor Bar (where DJ Ratchet was performing)
