She made it seem like a quasi-trippy gift store that has an eclectic collection of odds and ends. Doing what I normally do, I headed down there with a few friends to check it out. Sure enough, Penny Lane is exactly like it was described. A large collection of odds and ends with something for everyone. The store itself is massive. It has a bit of a 'antique mall' layout to it. One room or section will be one theme and then walking into another room will have a different theme or layout. We saw a ton of cool things. Stuff from Star Wars to Willie Nelson to Harley Davidson. There is something there for anyone and everyone. I recommended this place to my dad and he loved it. He found himself some cool things to get, despite not being a materialistic person himself. My favorite room was the Black Light room, as seen in the main photo above. It was trippy. I've been around black lights before and have seen the effects it has on things, but the extent of these black rooms was intense and immense. Everything illuminated. Everything glowed. I didn't end up buying anything there but I did see a few things I was interested in. My next trip back, I will definitely be picking up a few things to spruce up my home. Woah.

Their cigar selection is also quite nice and someone is always willing to assist with recommendations. The sales reps are kind, engaging in the sample products and you'll never be alone.

I had a trip to Springfield coming up and my wife happened to notice that Binny's in Springfield carried a beer that we like but did not know was even available in the U.S. I looked online and found other beers I have not seen at the store in St. Louis so we planned to visit Binny's while in Springfield. All I can say is that I wish I had more trips to Springfield coming up because the beer selection I saw at Binny's was really amazing. I also found the employees extremely helpful and willing to go out of their way to help me find what I was looking for, which is a good thing because I found the beer area overwhelming. Probably once a person learns how the beers are arranged it's easier, but organization system for the beers is not obvious at first glance, however that would be my only complaint. Otherwise I had a terrific experience.

Their hours are scheduled to open at 9am, but I've been there several times at that time or even 30-40 minutes after and they're not there. I understand business and it's sometimes more cost efficient to wait to open up until your business earnings typically begin... Unless your customers arrive when they expect you to be open and you're not open. It's even more difficult when they're on a different schedule and are relying on being to able to come to your business on a time crunch but you're not available when you said you would be. I would just change my hours to make it convenient for your business costs but also not lie to your customers and say you're going to be open but you aren't. Open earlier some days and later on others. We understand! We just count on reliability and it really affects your business. I've seen other reviews on Google, I know I'm not the only who notices this.
