As a local, Flora has become one of my absolute go-to spots. I order takeout from here regularly…read morebecause the quality of their ingredients is consistently excellent, and you can truly taste the difference. Every meal is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. My favorites are the Sweet Basil Chicken (hands down my favorite dish on the menu), the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, the Kale Chicken Caesar, and the Truffle Mushroom Arancini. They're all incredible and never disappoint. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is always friendly whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout. It's one of those places you find yourself coming back to again and again. Highly recommend!

Bloody Mary was yummy, my friend's cucumber tequila drink was delicious and we ordered a few things to split. Loved the burger, big enough to split! Catemlized onions on it made the flavor pop big time. I'd skip the buratta because I didn't love the bread and overly sweet balsamic glaze. Tuna tartar was fresh and came out ice cold, love! Our server suggested the Flower Pot for dessert even though we were full and I'm so glad we got it. How cute and what a fun spin on the dirt dessert we all got as kids. No gummy worms on this but awesome choice, adorable presentation and the vanilla ice cream at the bottom was ideal for such a hot day.

We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday and let our server know we were there for a special occasion. He treated us extremely well, bought my mom a birthday cocktail and dessert, and walked us through the menu to make recommendations on what we definitely had to try as first timers. For appetizers we had local oysters on the half shell which were fresh and delicious, and shrimp cocktail which was sizable. We went with the endive salad in between which was crisp and well balanced, the honey mustard dressing really brings it all together. We also had the baked clams which were cooked perfectly, and burrata which was so, so creamy. For entrees we ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni which I think might be the best I've ever had. The sauce was rich and perfectly spicy. We also had the whole branzino which was excellent, cooked just right. The steak frites were also the right temperature, and the truffle fries hit the spot. We had the chocolate souffle cake for dessert which was rich and decadent. If you're looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion, I would recommend this place.

I sat at the bar which was a very pretty, classic old school, Irish bar with a polished wood finish. The bartender was friendly and when I first walked in the bar I was surprised to see it empty at 3pm. I couldn't figure out why the bar wasn't packed out with happy hour right around the corner. A few more patrons came in and were talking about city life and how they were just passing through. Felt more transient than local hangout for sure. Also a person who I believed to be the manager reprimanded the bartender for chilling the beer glasses in the wrong ice cooler located under the bar that was meant to be used for drink ice. I thought this was very strange. First off it seemed to be punitive like it wasn't previously addressed in a serious manor. Secondly it was right in front of me, the customer, as a manager myself I would never do that in earshot of a patron. It's hard to convey the tension of the staff in this forum but it felt palpable. Long story short, if they want to bring more people in they should work on a more cohesive vibe. If that was the case I would bump it up a star.

We were in the neighborhood after looking at a few local reviews and knew we had to give them a try. The Mr and I, with our baby in tow were pleasantly surprised with how fresh the menu items that we selected were. We started off splitting a Roasted Beet and Pear salad, not one wilted green, which isn't always the easiest to come by. The only miss for me was the ratio of beets to pear, where I had less peach pieces and flavor. All in all it was a delightfully, light, crisp salad with a good amount of beets. I moved forward to the Garlic Lime Shrimp entree and the Mr got my 2nd choice option, the Shrimp Tacos. Both were presented nicely where eating with you eyes is real. The tastbuds did follow soon after enjoying every bite. :) The shrimp within both entrees were the best we have had in sometime being big, juicy and full of flavor. After that since it was a holiday weekend we opted for some dessert too. Talk about sizable slices of Tuxedo and Peanut Butter ice cream pies, that literally you can share just one super easily. The Mr opted for the Tuxedo slice since he loves chocolate. I went for the Peanut Butter, which had the bonus of a Rice Krispies crust. Why have I never thought to do that while baking...definitely something to try. Both come out looking bigger than life and not melting in any way which was great. It was amazing to see it keep it's shape all the way through slowly eating it to the end. The waitress was super sweet and attentive to our requests. The only real thing that has me omiting a stars here is the fact for a small lot they had a valet, but worse than that the fact that there was no electricity in bathroom. Oddly no windows for light, or battery operated lanterns/fake candles for light. Had to break out the cell phone flash light function to maneuver around. Totally unacceptable ;( for that prop main door to stay open.
