Such a great hike. And the formations were pretty awesome. So glad we went. It is amazing how nature works to create such beauty.

HooDoo??? Me Doo, He Doo and you should too! Toadstool HooDoos Trail is a short 1.8 mile hike just outside Page, Arizona. It is a lovely walk through centuries of erosion that has uncovered multiple layers of the earths crust. A HooDoo is a spire-like stone structure often made from thousands of years of erosion. The Toadstool HooDoo has a spire made of one stone topped with a cap of a different stone. It is said every few inches of height can account for thousands of years of erosion and some of these HooDoos are 15-20 feet tall. You do the math! Geological wonders and simply a pleasure to look at, the HooDoos are Dr. Seuss like in appearance as they are in name. I enjoyed this hike more than I thought I would and I hope YooDoo too. I even did a video to show my students back in Georgia.

This is one of the easy trail that with great reward. It is 1.5 miles round trip. The trail is easy to access. The reward with beautiful landscape is great. Toadstool Hoodoos is located at Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument has many interesting places and toadstool is one of the beautiful natural rock collections. The trail head is about 44.7 miles from Kanab at eastbound of US 89. The trail head has solid unpaved ground so any regular car can park there to get access. Along the trail is beautiful and marked. Far away you will see hoodoos on the rim rock. It is look lite white stem and black color top mushroom. Like Chinese sinbao mushroom. When you get close the park, the toadstool hoodoo is visible. The access to close up is available. The is more hoodoos on the back right side. The rim rock can be found on the left side. It is beautiful with color layer. It is unique and beautiful. It look like little bun. The scenery is amazing. It is natural wonders that you will appreciated. The picture perfect location is great to take you profile photo. Visit in the morning is better because the sun just hit every place there for photo opportunities.

Easy, short hike with very interesting rock formations. Take lots of water and wear sunblock because there is no shade along the trail.

This Toadstool trail is totally EPIC! Very tough Snow and mud hiking at Toadstool trail in Grand Staircase-Escalante, Utah today! The trailhead is right off Highway 89, 45 miles east of Kanab and 27 miles west of Page. No fees to visit or to park. No over night parking is allowed. The trail is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. The area is dog-friendly. No defacing or climbing on these fragile rocks is allowed. The hike is about 1.5 miles round-trip. It should be easy to moderate. It's tough during the snow or rain, as it can get very slippery and muddy. Please be super careful walking by steep slopes and narrow trails along the steep hills above the wash. To reach the Toadstools, head north along the trail from the trailhead, traveling through the wash towards the northern rim of a small canyon. Don't worry about getting lost. There are plenty of foot prints and other hikers along the trail! The first toadstool you will see is giant and red. Continue past the red Toadstool, and you will find more patches of mushroom-like rocks along the trail. Towards the end about 100 yard up the hill, you will see a lone white stem with a red cap, alongside stunning Paria River Valley views. Past this scenic stop are even more toadstools. Return the way you came. Totally epic! Remember to garbage in and garbage out. Please keep this place special and magical.

It was just after snow storm, trail was covered by snow. I was lucky to have one hiker ahead of me. I followed his footprints. They have potable toilets in the parking area. There are signs on the trail. After snow or rain, trail gets muddy and slippery just watch your steps.

Beautiful and breath-taking views.

This is definitely a must see. It's a short hike. Took us an hour from start to finish. Took lots of great pictures. Pictures are nice, but being there is far better.

Before even hiring Yermo he talked to me for a long time regarding all the things I would need to make this trip successful. We were originally going to start at Wire Pass to incorporate the Buckskin Gulch, but once we got there he informed us it was quite flooded in areas and would be too difficult to get through so we started at Whitehouse trailhead instead. My friend had gotten a new Iphone 17 and we were able to communicate with Yermo a few times during the hike. You don't see many people along the way and it was comforting knowing we had someone who would keep us informed. We had an amazing and safe trip!!! If safety is your top priority which it was for myself and my friend, Yermo is the person you want to hire!! He also gave us hiking tips for this trip such as Randy Sun socks (a must have) and rubber tips for your hiking poles!!

Our experience was exceptional, start to finish. We originally booked White Pocket, but owner Yermo was helpful in accommodating an itinerary change when we also secured a permit for South Coyote Buttes, weeks later. When we arrived in Page, there was good follow-through in messaging us about our meeting point, timing, and contact details, and all rolled absolutely seamlessly on the tour. Our guide, Brand, made the entire day shine -- he's exceedingly knowledgeable, prepared, friendly, and astute, taking the client's skill level and wishes into full account. He and others at Seeking Treasure also serve as the backups to the local search-and-rescue crew, so you could not ask for a more equipped and experienced team. Brand showed us everything from the most popular vantages to those that were more obscure but even more exciting and beautiful in perspective. He is also a highly capable driver in the route's deep sands, and the vehicle was comfortable and sturdy. Having a private guide is always an immensely preferable option, and Seeking Treasure Adventures ensures a personalized tour that will help you find the treasure you seek -- simply outstanding!

My preteen kids said it was one of the best shows they have seen due to our close proximity to the lighting of the fireworks! Everything seemed bigger! Explosions louder! We were practically right under most of the explosions in the sky, with ambers literally falling on top of us / the spectators! Perhaps because if the dry air. At the very end of the show, our fears were realized as one last firework exploded on the ground, and some cardboard shrapnels flew into the spectators, hitting some of them. The guides, Glade and Hannah, were terrific, like personal chefs there to assure you had a great time and were safe. They aimed at the best part of every rapid- a real E-ticket ride. Some advice: 1. bring more alcohol-it was hot in August, probably 100, we are not big drinkers but 3-4 cold beers a day would sure have been nice, we ran out on day 6 2. wear light colored clothes if the weather is going to be warm 3. bring a walking stick, very helpful on the hikes scrambling over boulders and rocks 4. bring more alcohol 5. a waterproof day pack to have some gear readily accessible on the raft would have been nice 6. Have a set of river shoes, and a set of hiking shoes for shore excursions. My river shoes were great on wet rocks in the river, but tenuous at best when hiking 7. bring more alcohol 8. I balked at the sarong idea and regretted it, sarong would have been great to keep cool on the raft and to provide additional sun protection 9. Gel or spray on deodorant would have been nice, I brought body wash but it did not really cut it. 10. Consider going in May-mid July time frame when river is running clear. Once monsoon season starts in Arizona the river runs silty. Still a great trip. GCE is one of the few companies that provides cots and sleeping pads and sleeping bags as part of the experience, other companies might charge extra.

Brett was phenomenal. He made every one of us feel completely safe and confident through all the rappels (5 or 7, depending on who's counting -- we lost track because we were having too much fun). He struck that perfect balance of professional guide and enthusiastic local -- he clearly loves this place and knows it deeply, from the geology of the rocks to the broader mountaineering history of the area. That kind of knowledge just adds another layer to the whole experience. We drove over from our lodge to Easton Zion, and I'll be honest -- I wondered briefly if it was worth the extra time. It absolutely was. As a bonus, Brett had a great eye for photos, so we came home with some incredible shots to prove we actually did it.
