I don't…read moreknow why they even working in customer service... it's literally 45 minutes before the store is about to close and The way they look at people who walk in, you would think they killed their Granny. Then they remind us at least 50 times over the loudspeaker that the self checkouts closed and all registers closed at 11 on the dot so we better hurry up. Not only that but they watch you the whole time you're picking things out and they sit there and talk crap about you and laugh at you. I literally heard them call me insane because I was trying to figure out what birthday present to get my sister last minute. I work all day so most of the time nighttime is the only time that I can go grocery shopping or any kind of shopping for that matter. Yes, it sucks, but I also have to deal with customers coming in last minute and not only do I want to go home but I still have to do my job with a smile and give them good customer service. That is the whole point of your job. To make customers want to come back.. When I walked up to self check out they literally said "and then she put most of the stuff back that she picked up in the first place anyways" while the other girl said "it's called insanity" and started giggling.. Anyways, I don't think that they need to work here. I think they need to go somewhere and work behind a desk or somewhere they don't have to interact with humans in general because these girls are not pleasant looking, pleasant acting, and clearly don't like working. I headed to REI Co-op, a store that I frequently shopped in Baltimore. It's located in Indigo Square near the Town Centre in Mount Pleasant. There's plenty of parking ... the interior is well lit ... and the sales floor is well stocked. I knew what I wanted after browsing their website. My goal was to establish the size and place the order as I wanted a particular Columbia hooded down jacket in a trendy tobacco color. I was approached quickly, tried on a few Columbia jackets and within minutes, the friendly and very helpful sales associate placed the order. In three days, my jacket arrived. It is perfect and arrived just in time for the 32 degree temperature forecasted for tomorrow. REI should be your 'go to' for everything you need for your outdoor activities ... fishing, skiing, hunting, hiking, etc., ... accessories, too. Selections are available at all price points, whether you 're looking for value (chose REI branded merch) or 'bells and whistles.'

For years, they've offered a 15% local discount to residents of Seabrook, Kiawah, and lower Johns Island. Their sister stores in Freshfields offer the same. For years, I've shown my license and been granted a 15% discount, as I live about 1 mile from the store on Johns Island. I live closer than any Kiawah residents (Cassique is 2 miles), while the Marsh Oak condos at Bohicket Marina (Seabrook) are indeed closer than my house. This year I was told by management that they "never" offered discounts to anyone other than Seabrook Club or Kiawah Club members with a Club card. My years of receipts prove otherwise. It's hard for me to continue to support a local business when they are claiming they never had a policy that existed. It's fine if they choose to change their policy, but please do not lie about it.
