But, while strolling down King Street on a particularly stifling afternoon, I decided to pop in to escape the heat and see what they have in the shop. Let me tell you, these kids certainly know what they are talking about. I was warmly greeted at the door and the whole staff gave out a helpful, fun energy that felt quite genuine (which can get rare shopping on King Street). Katie - who I recognized from years back - ended up helping me to the point where a trip to Pisgah went from tentative to fully outfitted! They were very patient and forthright about what I would and would not need and I ended up using every piece of gear she and Brian (I think?) helped me choose. Great technical and stylish stuff. If you are planning a trip, this is where I'd recommend to go get outfitted. If you just want some fresh threads or stuff for the beach, this is your place too. I love that they keep up with the brands instead of only selling Patagonia, Mtn Hardware and the like. I saw they had stuff from great brands like Cotopaxi and Arc'Teryx. They even offer their own house brand and local favorites like Free Fly. Plus they have a large shoe selection. Again, they offer a lot of the brands you would think of in an outdoor store, but keeping up with the trends, you'll also see Blundstones, Oofos, and Danner to name a few. Versona offers affordable clothes, shoes, and accessories- I had sticker shock because of how affordable it is for Mount Pleasant Towne Center, an upscale shopping center. Versona's clothes and accessories are stylish for women of all ages, and they carry business-casual and versatile styles. Displays let you shop easily without walking all over the store, as the accessories/jewelry to match a dress or outfit are super close to that item. The dressing rooms were closed for a long time due to COVID-19, but have reopened. You can place an order online and have it delivered to the store for pickup for free, which is handy for holiday shopping. Most gift shops were closed by that point, aside from Pipeline. They had a huge selection, so I ended up spending way over $100 for toooo much stuff. I even bought myself a couple of shirts and magnets. They had items for both Charleston and Isle of Palms, which was even better. I'd definitely recommend this spot. And it's HUGE.
