Another amazing pie! 18" NY pizza with ricotta, sausage and basil. This place needs awards.

They still got it! I feel blessed to have such an amazing neighborhood pizza place! Always on point! Ordered a build your own NY pie with sausage, garlic, cremini mushrooms and basil. Dang, this one was a hit! We ate half the pie in one sitting, lol! Oink-oink! I'm so glad we managed to save the rest for breakfast. I love cold next day pizza! Definitely a great spot!

Fast, friendly, & easy pickup! The vegan pizza surprised me, it had a lot of flavor and I liked the sauce on the deep dish too. Unfortunately can't remember the actual names

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came to check out this spot after Padres game. I was surely not alone in going there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, the line moved relatively fast and I was able to get my pizza pretty quick. They had quite a nice variety of different slices to choose from. Overall, a decent pizza spot whenever you're just needing a quick slice out in the area.

BLUF: amazingly tasty pizza with delicious fluffy crusts and fresh toppings. Menu doesn't allow for much customization (wanted classic Detroit toppings on a NY crust but could not do so). A bit on the pricier side, but will definitely consider again when ordering for the team. The gluten free crust was a huge hit with staff who have allergies. They raved about how light it was when they are used to ultra dense, tough options. Fair warning gluten free pizzas are smaller. The toppings on all were super fresh and tasty.

Stopped in for a slice and it was super tasty. The crust was crispy and thin. Doesnt have that NY chewiness but still really yummy. The one we chose had salami, dates, ricotta and honey. Great combo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The turnoff was cleanliness. There were several open tables that were really dirty. Not with trash, just sticky or wet. Had to wipe ours down ourselves. Didn't see anyone coming out to do that at all[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

I first heard of this pizza because of the comic con activation with TMNT (IYKYK). I have tried it and I liked it but I didn't stop by the actual shop until December after the East Village Tree Lighting. My friend recommended it because they make some of the best Detroit style pizzas and San Diego. Let me tell you. They are not wrong. We ordered the Blippe and it was so worth it! Thick crust and crispy cheese with homemade pesto sauce. Super delish! Thanks to Mikey who was at the front, for making our experience a great one considering they were about to close the kitchen ! Thanks so much! Can't wait to go back. Ps. They make this awesome pickle pizza.

Delicious pizza! The pies are huge and definitely worth sharing. We ordered the New York-style pizza, and it was excellent--great flavor, a crispy yet chewy crust, and quality ingredients. If you're craving authentic NY-style pizza with generous portions, TNT Pizza is definitely worth checking out.

The best Detroit style pizza in town. The New York style is also very good, in my top 5 in San Diego. They always have a lot of vegan options and New York vegan house classic is my favorite (like I'm not even a vegan and I still get it good). Hot Sop and Chicago are my two top picks for Detroit style. They also have a variety of peppers and oil to top off with.

Vegan Buffalo slice & vegan slice with basil, garlic & mushroom

I never have high expectations when it comes to vegan pizza as a vegan of 10 years. It's hard to get right. This was incredible. My personal favorite was the buffalo slice. I got vegan ranch on the side, but I enjoyed it most without the ranch. I haven't tasted pizza like this since before I went vegan. New York style and crispy!!! Now I'm going to have to come back to SD just for this place

Came in around 1:45 PM on a Wednesday and there were a handful of people inside. It's a casual setup - you order at the counter and grab your pizza when it's called They offer New York-style and deep dish pizzas, and you can buy slices that vary in price. I ordered: * Pepperoni: Honestly, this was pretty bad. It was a little greasy, but the crust was super soggy. With a New York-style slice, especially one that thin, you expect a nice crisp on the bottom. This had none of that. I had much higher expectations. When I ordered, she asked if I wanted ranch or hot honey, and I went with her recommendation, hot honey, which was an extra $0.50. The extra charge was totally fine, businesses need to cover costs, but it would've been nice to know there was an upcharge beforehand. * Margherita: Somehow even worse. Again, very soggy crust, super greasy, and overwhelmingly cheesy. It just didn't taste like quality ingredients or well-executed pizza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the interior is actually a cool spot with a chill vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No public restroom, but dogs are allowed, which is a big plus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I did ask for some pepperonis on the side, and she was kind enough to give me a handful in a cup free of charge, which I appreciated. Overall, the space is cool, and the staff had a nice moment of generosity, but the pizza just didn't deliver. Unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back.

I searched Reddit for vegan eats near Petco Park and someone recommended stopping by here before the game. I'm so glad I did! They have several vegan pizza options and I was thrilled. I went with the vegan pickle thick crust slice. I'm a sucker for ranch and this thing was covered in it. It was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and try their house slice. The pepperoncinis looked amazing, and they had some great-looking vegan meat alternatives too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really appreciated that they had a spot for us to sit, enjoy our food, sip a soda, and relax before heading to the stadium.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was spacious and they also had a patio for outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly and fast. We got two slices and a soda for just twelve dollars. I think we've found our new go-to pizza spot. Thank you for all the vegan options and for being so inclusive. You've got a new fan!

Couple slices and brewskies before Padres game. Grandma style pepperoni has lil something on crust that adds extra texture on bites. Definitely a two handed slice as it flops if try and pick up. House Classic Detroit style continues to be the best. Crispy edges with caramelized cheese, crisp bottom with airy center. Red sauce is heavy that tops sausage, pepperocinis, red eppers, onions, so I hope you like sauce. They also have Sugarkiln cookies available.

We were dressed casually but were treated by Luca and his team as if we were dressed to the nines. I want to state this- the place was packed on a Sunday evening and although it appeared Luca was the only waiter, he had a great team helping bring bread, water, dishes, etc. This team works great together! And the way that Luca interacted with all of his customers- amazing! Our family felt as though we knew him forever. The appetizer and salad were very good. And our main dishes of carbonara, bolognese and red sauce rigatoni were delicious. I really didn't think any of us would finish them but we couldn't put our forks down. It's a lovely place above a pizzeria - we literally passed by once and missed the entrance. Once you get up stairs, the seating area is well designed so that everyone had room enough to not feel cramped as in other restaurants. Great place for family or romantic dinner! Thank you, Luca and team for giving us such a great experience while on vacation in San Diego!

We came across Nonna's, and since I had always wanted to try it, we decided to give it a chance. The hostess was very sweet and seated us quickly, which was a great start. We ordered the calamari and two pasta dishes--one with truffle mushroom sauce and the other with braised pork. The calamari was okay, but it mostly tasted like breading and didn't have much flavor beyond that. The truffle mushroom pasta had a good sauce, but the pasta itself was very bland. Honestly, the pasta tasted like something you could buy at a grocery store and heat up at home. My boyfriend's pasta was okay as well, but neither of us felt like the dishes had much flavor, and the portions were on the smaller side. Unfortunately, the service was probably the biggest disappointment of the night. Our waiter came over, dropped off the water, and shortly after came back to take our order. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so we were surprised by how unfriendly and rushed he seemed. There was no smile, no attempt at conversation, or even a general sense of warmth. What really stood out to me, though, was watching him interact with another couple who were seated outside on the patio. He was completely different with them--smiling, laughing, chatting, and being very personable. At one point, my boyfriend politely asked if he could order a whiskey sour. When the waiter brought the drink, he literally slammed it down on our table, which honestly caught both of us off guard. I then watched him bring the other couple two glasses of wine, gently place them on their table, and do so with a smile. After that, the only other time he came back to our table was to rush us to take our plates. I completely understand that everyone has bad days, and I'm not someone who expects over-the-top service but I have worked in the food industry myself for many years so I do expect at least basic friendliness and hospitality--especially when you can clearly see that the same server is capable of providing it to other guests. For reference, our waiter was bald and wore glasses. He never told us his name. Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try Nonna's, but unfortunately, neither the food nor the service left us wanting to come back. There are so many other restaurants with better food, portions, and hospitality that I would personally choose somewhere else for our next special occasion.
