Decided to try this spot on Labor Day since the third ave location was closed. Pizza was thin and crispy and very flavorful. Lots of different toppings available. You can mix and match slices or get a whole pie, which is pretty worth it since it comes with around 10 slices. Staff is pretty chill and friendly. They also have beer on tap but imo they need to work on their pour. Ambiance is very much 90s Pizza Hut with minimal ninja turtle elements. Parking can be a pain, but the good thing is there's plenty of dessert spots in the area.
This is a family favorite. 1st choice every time we want pizza. Finally able to write a review and it's mainly because of the incredible employee helping me this morning. Super patient and very friendly. But all in all the staff here are all great people, simply joyful.
The food was BOMB. I'm so glad that they had vegan options. I don't remember what we ordered but they were Detroit style. The service was friendly and kind. There was plenty of seating inside. Well worth the price! Thank you so much :)
They still got it! I feel blessed to have such an amazing neighborhood pizza place! Always on point! Ordered a build your own NY pie with sausage, garlic, cremini mushrooms and basil. Dang, this one was a hit! We ate half the pie in one sitting, lol! Oink-oink! I'm so glad we managed to save the rest for breakfast. I love cold next day pizza! Definitely a great spot!
Fast, friendly, & easy pickup! The vegan pizza surprised me, it had a lot of flavor and I liked the sauce on the deep dish too. Unfortunately can't remember the actual names
BLUF: amazingly tasty pizza with delicious fluffy crusts and fresh toppings. Menu doesn't allow for much customization (wanted classic Detroit toppings on a NY crust but could not do so). A bit on the pricier side, but will definitely consider again when ordering for the team. The gluten free crust was a huge hit with staff who have allergies. They raved about how light it was when they are used to ultra dense, tough options. Fair warning gluten free pizzas are smaller. The toppings on all were super fresh and tasty.

I first heard of this pizza because of the comic con activation with TMNT (IYKYK). I have tried it and I liked it but I didn't stop by the actual shop until December after the East Village Tree Lighting. My friend recommended it because they make some of the best Detroit style pizzas and San Diego. Let me tell you. They are not wrong. We ordered the Blippe and it was so worth it! Thick crust and crispy cheese with homemade pesto sauce. Super delish! Thanks to Mikey who was at the front, for making our experience a great one considering they were about to close the kitchen ! Thanks so much! Can't wait to go back. Ps. They make this awesome pickle pizza.
Stopped in for a slice and it was super tasty. The crust was crispy and thin. Doesnt have that NY chewiness but still really yummy. The one we chose had salami, dates, ricotta and honey. Great combo. The turnoff was cleanliness. There were several open tables that were really dirty. Not with trash, just sticky or wet. Had to wipe ours down ourselves. Didn't see anyone coming out to do that at all.
The best Detroit style pizza in town. The New York style is also very good, in my top 5 in San Diego. They always have a lot of vegan options and New York vegan house classic is my favorite (like I'm not even a vegan and I still get it good). Hot Sop and Chicago are my two top picks for Detroit style. They also have a variety of peppers and oil to top off with.

It's a casual setup - you order at the counter and grab your pizza when it's called They offer New York-style and deep dish pizzas, and you can buy slices that vary in price. I ordered: * Pepperoni: Honestly, this was pretty bad. It was a little greasy, but the crust was super soggy. With a New York-style slice, especially one that thin, you expect a nice crisp on the bottom. This had none of that. I had much higher expectations. When I ordered, she asked if I wanted ranch or hot honey, and I went with her recommendation, hot honey, which was an extra $0.50. The extra charge was totally fine, businesses need to cover costs, but it would've been nice to know there was an upcharge beforehand. * Margherita: Somehow even worse. Again, very soggy crust, super greasy, and overwhelmingly cheesy. It just didn't taste like quality ingredients or well-executed pizza. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the interior is actually a cool spot with a chill vibe. No public restroom, but dogs are allowed, which is a big plus. I did ask for some pepperonis on the side, and she was kind enough to give me a handful in a cup free of charge, which I appreciated. Overall, the space is cool, and the staff had a nice moment of generosity, but the pizza just didn't deliver. Unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back.
Tried TNT Pizza for the first time and went with a grandma slice -- really solid choice. The crust had that perfect crispy-on-the-bottom, soft-in-the-middle texture that makes grandma style so good, and the sauce-to-cheese ratio was spot on. You could tell a lot of care goes into the dough here. I know they're known for their Detroit style too, so I'll definitely be coming back to try that next. Love that they've got a few different pizza styles to choose from instead of just sticking to one. Great read more
delicious pizza, if you like the crunchy stuff then this is your place! ordered to go, pepperoni pizza ny style.. super simple, fresh tasting and loved the crunchy crust which i got a hint of sourdough. the place itself is located in a very busy part of the city, great place to eat at inside but i got to go which was packaged great! lots of metered parking options around the block. read more
Kool lil pizza spot on the corner of 14th & Market St... I've pasted this spot many times on the way to the office and 2day was the day the munchies trail led me here...walked in to a welcome in from Magen I'll be rite with you...she was finishing an order which gave me a moment to let my munchies chose the perfect slice...I decided on a slice of pepperoni w/vodka sauce,& two granny style slices...had a Genesee while I waited...TNT is a kool to go spot, and the perfect place to chill and have a slice or two...Located rite on the corner with outdoor seating and plenty windows to view downtown San Diego from the inside. Stop by for a beer and a slice...don't 4get to drizzle ya slice with some warm honey or the hot oil....visit the Chula Vista location if ya in the area... read more

I searched Reddit for vegan eats near Petco Park and someone recommended stopping by here before the game. I'm so glad I did! They have several vegan pizza options and I was thrilled. I went with the vegan pickle thick crust slice. I'm a sucker for ranch and this thing was covered in it. It was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and try their house slice. The pepperoncinis looked amazing, and they had some great-looking vegan meat alternatives too. I really appreciated that they had a spot for us to sit, enjoy our food, sip a soda, and relax before heading to the stadium. The inside was spacious and they also had a patio for outdoor seating. Service was friendly and fast. We got two slices and a soda for just twelve dollars. I think we've found our new go-to pizza spot. Thank you for all the vegan options and for being so inclusive. Couple slices and brewskies before Padres game. Grandma style pepperoni has lil something on crust that adds extra texture on bites. Definitely a two handed slice as it flops if try and pick up. House Classic Detroit style continues to be the best. Crispy edges with caramelized cheese, crisp bottom with airy center. Red sauce is heavy that tops sausage, pepperocinis, red eppers, onions, so I hope you like sauce. They also have Sugarkiln cookies available. read more

This food is truly incredible! They can make nearly every one of their regular pizzas vegan & they have gluten free options that can also be made vegan! So many choices. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. I got the gluten free Detroit pizza with 3 sauces (tomato, vodka, and pesto) add vegan ricotta. The dough is actually incredible, it's light & airy but holds up really well, great texture & flavor & the toppings are amazing too. The tomato sauce especially tastes great. It's so exciting to have places put real care & creativity into their vegan options & having options that are both gluten free & vegan & really delicious is even better! Came here to grab a slide after a moderate amount of drinking nearby. I honestly don't even know what I got. I think it had garlic and spinach and it was really good. The crust was fantastic with zero flop. I would try their pickle pizza next time if I am ever in the area again. read more
Not bad not bad. i ate it after bad pizza so it's hard to really think about how good this slice was. pepperoni was pretty good. buffalo chicken is not my preference but it was not bad. i wouldnt get the grandma slice either. read more
This pizza is some of the best I've had in San Diego. I stopped by here twice during comic-con. They have great options for all dietary restrictions, we got a gluten free and dairy free veggie pizza and it was fantastic. We also got another pizza that was regular crust and extra cheesy. Both were top notch. The staff here were cool and welcoming. The vibe of the store was neat too, it felt retro like an 80s pizza parlor. Definitely coming back the next time I'm in town! read more

Great pizzas with amazing prices and service! Ethan is the epitome of a multitasker!! Came in on a Saturday night and this place had a pretty good line, but it moved fast as Ethan is out there running the show. I enjoyed the options of Detroit, grandma, and New York style pizzas that this place offers and I was very surprised at the prices of the slices! The taste was epic and this has made my list as one of my favorite pizza joints in San Diego. There are plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor, only downside I'd say is parking because it's located in east village. I'll happily come back to enjoy the pizza with the happy hour, I believe it's $5 for draft beer which is an absolute steal!! Highly recommend you give them a try read more

I never have high expectations when it comes to vegan pizza as a vegan of 10 years. It's hard to get right. This was incredible. My personal favorite was the buffalo slice. I got vegan ranch on the side, but I enjoyed it most without the ranch. I haven't tasted pizza like this since before I went vegan. New York style and crispy!!! Now I'm going to have to come back to SD just for this place read more
Solid pizza joint. Honestly, the novelty of the pickle pie took me aback! It's a crowd favorite. I thought it was well-balanced with the hot honey as the other pizza flavor, split half-half on the pizza. Down to try this place again, along with tasting more of their other flavors. :P read more

LOVE this place I was worried about seating here from others reviews but there is plenty of room inside and out. Service is quick and friendly and boy is the food good. My partner and I split three different Detroit style pizzas and a regular slice EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Definitely recommend coming here with friends or family and trying as many different slices that interest you. read more

Oh my goodness, yummiest pizza in town! The dough specifically is perfectly crunchy and flavorful and it made for such a great crust! The pickle pizza was so interesting, never had anything quite like it :D but I loved it! And of course the normal Detroit style slices were amazing too! Definitely give this place a try if you're near... Or even if you're not near. read more
Stopped by to get a bite to eat before the Padres game yesterday. I have seen this place come up when looking for food but never gave it a shot. Wow! I can't believe we waited so long to try this place out! Really nice job on the pizzas and they have multiple options for my vegan wife! I ordered the Detroit style pepperoni with a side of hot honey and my wife got the vegan pickle pizza. Both were really good! Great food and great service! read more
