We tapped on Yelp's Request a Quote tool and happily received a speedy response from Shea and TMCJ Fence Company. It often seems that communication and getting a response is one of the toughest hurdles to cross with completing home projects. Luckily, they were on it with the RAQ feature on Yelp. The project: rebuilding a 75' privacy fence along the one side of our property to match the other two sides. We were happy with the quote and timeline and moved forward on the project. The one thing that I think would have kicked this experience up a notch would be proactive communication updates on the project each day - even if it were a simple text of where things stand. Based on original conversations, it appeared that knocking out the project in two days would be possible (we and our neighbors both have big dogs to keep separated).unfortunately, the project ended up being more of a five day endeavor due to an error by the builders (the Pretty side of the fence was built facing the wrong direction but they quickly corrected it after we addressed it). I couldn't get any other company to even return a call for a quote. Had their company come out to quote and I liked his saying "under promise and over deliver". Expectations were set realistically. They came out on a Monday to begin the project. We have a chihuahua and Tyler made sure our fence was "chihuahua-proof". They were super friendly during install and we really love how the fence looks. They removed quite a bit of brush and debris around our old fence. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend. We added a double wide gate as well and really like that so much better! read more

TMCJ Fence built a 75ft long, 6ft tall privacy fence in our backyard recently. The crew that showed up were friendly and professional. They started taking the old picket fence out on a Thursday and had the new fence built wrapped up by Monday. There was some confusion regarding a significant detail about the fence that required an afternoon of rework, but TMCJ was very responsive and accommodating to work through the issue. Ok yelpers.. I found a REAL gem here. Tyler and his company are new to Yelp. I took a chance and asked for a estimate, even though he had no reviews, something us yelpers don't normally do. Then I met Tyler and after talking with him and after he wrote up the estimate. It was like 20 degrees outside, ground was frozen. He assured me he would get me on the schedule as his 1st customer in 2019. He had explained he had saved and took a month off during the "artic" like weather we were having. I checked everything he told me on my computer while him and his Forman waited patiently in my heated garage. Everything checked out, so I just trusted my gut and hired Tyler to build my fence. Our fence was going to be a life changing experience for my resue doggie and my wife. Keeping out the strays , which we have alot of, was the goal. Keeping my 2 most important ladies in my life safe was my mission and purpose. To say I was nervous taking a chance on a company with no reviews. After being the victim of a scammer and a car salesman that threatened me, my experience as a yelper for more than a decade told me not to hire anyone that wasn't a 4 star or higher... BUT then I met Tyler and decided my military background was enough to risk all my concerns on his company. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! OMG! Tyler showed up not only in weather that I felt was just to cold to be outside in, the poor man had the flu. It wasn't a act. He looked like he was in bad shape.. alarms starting going off in my head, but the next 2 days were absolutely beautiful, Tyler came rolling up to "get the job done right" as he kept saying.. to say he is a perfectionist is saying it lightly.. Over the next 2 days he transformed my yard into a .... dream come true. As he and his Forman David worked, my doggie and I walked around and looked at the fence and asked questions.. he answered every question with knowledge and experience, but also with real care and understanding about how important this fence was to us. Wrapping this up, my doggie KNEW something was going on around her perimeter, when she wasn't outside with me ON HER leash she was watching us outside the door window. It was PRICELESS!! My dog was soooo excited, it was so heartwarming.. and EXCITING!!!Talking with Tyler over the course of 2 days while he installed our fence was... epic! His business practices are something we yelpers dream of.. his philosophy on fair pricing is .. special. No matter if your a rich superstar or a customer with a tight budget, he is going to do the same job regardless.. perfection is his drug.. a drug we yelpers encourage!!! Lol. I only wish I could give more stars!! I have been a yelper with so many reviews backed up to keep up with, I had and still have dozens to write. But this company needs to be known to my fellow yelpers.. so a couple weeks late.. I cant say how this man and his company has changed our lives.. After he was finished , we walked the fence line and I asked more questions, he continued to ease my worries and seeing the results.. I honestly had NO WORRIES at all about the job he had done. This man and his company are EPIC! If you are looking for a fence and are worried about finding the right company to do the job.. look no further.. you have found the right one.do yourself a favor, and ease you mind/worries and hire this man and his company. But do him right! He will take care of you, dont file this away as another review you have to write, as I have done.. get the reviews out there for this guy. Help him help other people! Does not return calls, texts, messages. Went to his home and he finally agreed to come out after having down payment for four months. Came one day and left with a gate that would not open or close, a mess in the yard, crooked and poorly put together structure that was not complete. Almost one month later and still has not returned to complete job. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! read more
