However, I like to explore and encourage others to do so. Waitstaff was extremely professional. I enjoy Mexico's style of waitstaff customer service. The interior was dark wood and old school. They provided crispy and strong tortillas chips ( I am not a fan of the thin chips.) and some refried beans and lime. We ordered Ceviche and Ribeye with shrimp. Food was okay. However, the steak was not Ribeye. While it was sliced thin (I know what thinly sliced Ribeye looks like since we use it in our HotPot), it was some other cut of meat. I would preferred the cut be called whatever it was. As always, try it out of yourself and let us know. Happy eating!

I brought up the meat and no body addressed it. We simply paid and left. I did not skimp on the tip because even though the waiter wasn't welcoming , he did his job as vanilla as it was. As we were leaving a couple walked in and asked to order the special that was advertised on every single table. All of them were fantastic-loaded with meat, onions, tomatoes, and avocado served with a wonder verde hot sauce and delicious beans. The chicharron was super fresh and very flavorful, the tripe was amazing and tender but not oily, the desebrada was perfect. And the corn tortillas were crispy and wonderful. Highly highly recommend!!!!!

My friendly server immediately came to check on me and see what I was interested in. It took me a minute to decide as the food selection here is impressively diverse. You can get traditional Mexican dishes as well as seafood and sushi. The chips and salsas brought out were dynamite! I loved each salsa just as much and they will keep the chips coming as long as you can handle it! I opted to start with a dozen raw oysters, which came out quickly. They were a good size and served up with Mexican cocktail sauce and limes. The only drawback to this order was that the oysters were still connected to their shells and no traditional oyster fork was offered for use. No biggie, though - a spoon did the trick. For my entree I had the large octopus and shrimp cocktail. This concoction was massive and beautifully topped with avocado, cilantro and onion. It was chock full of octopus and shrimp, and was delicious! The cold cocktail was fresh, clean-tasting, and very satisfying on a hot summer day. My experience here was excellent, and I hope to come back before my time in Laredo is done.
