Jeans tend to dominate the front entrance of the store, with there multitude of designs, colours and prices. The majority of the clothes are off reasonable quality, although I wouldn't buy anything in black (fades too quickly!) and are low to mid range prices. The shoe range (despite always being very messy and untidy) is quite well stocked, and shows a good balance between work shoes, casual shoes and glamour shoes. Also available within the store are the Inspire range and the young teen ranges.

A lot of the brands they sell can be pricey, although they seem to have sales every few weeks so you can always save some money. I was lucky enough to be able to go a preview night before it opened in 2011. They also have an outlet store in the Kennet Centre where they previously were.

And then lo', I stumbled upon Jokers' Masquerade, and my prayers were answered. £10.99 (plus P+P) got me a super massive scythe that Death himself would be green with envy over. Apart from it's plastic so not up to much in the way of soul-reaping. But still. I also got a Cher wig (for my 'sexy vampiress' costume) for just under £20. Ordered at half ten on Saturday night, arrived at 9am on Tuesday morning. In a postal strike. Amazing.

The store is sandwiched between Outfit and Boots and stands proudly out as an independant retailer of woman's clothing. Inside the store are several conviently located (and dressed!) mannequins in all manner of positions, and beware as these look incredibly like people until you get up close! The clothing ranges are growing ever year and Evans is making a real effort to keep the market fashionable in this sector and succeeding nicely. This store has some of the most welcoming and delightful assistants I have ever met!

Also, the stores have different opening hours! The TK Maxx is not that bad (for a TK Maxx). This compact shopping centre contains quite an eclectic mixture of shops, both chains and independent retailers. They proved about an hour of browsing but to be honest, I'm unlikely to return to many of them anytime soon. There's a Vue cinema, which is apparently quite new in town. I look forward to some trips there in the future. The centre was clean and there was public seating available for me to settle into for my wait.
