I find treating the customer this way is contemptuous Today I returned a Masai cotton top which I bought a year ago, yes I know you are thinking well you have had it a year, yes and I would say the same if I had worn it every week and got my wear out of it, when in fact I had worn it only 5 times. I pointed this out to the store supervisor but she wasn't interested in that. She just kept saying well you have had it a year. Needless to say I did not get a refund but then knowing how they deal with returns I was not expecting one. Whilst I am on the subject I find the staff on the concession counters abysmal, they might a well have a do not disturb sign around their neck.

I have built up quite a list of Leeds shops in which to hunt for fancy dress bargains, but the one thing I couldn't get my hands on that I was going to have to make out of cardboard, sticky backed plastic and a mop handle was a scythe. And then lo', I stumbled upon Jokers' Masquerade, and my prayers were answered. £10.99 (plus P+P) got me a super massive scythe that Death himself would be green with envy over. Apart from it's plastic so not up to much in the way of soul-reaping. But still. I also got a Cher wig (for my 'sexy vampiress' costume) for just under £20. Ordered at half ten on Saturday night, arrived at 9am on Tuesday morning. In a postal strike. Amazing.

OK if I'm honest, with a bit of Matalan and Primarni thrown in. Fat Face men's and women's clothes are modern, stylish and good quality, if a bit pricey and sometimes just a bit too heavy-duty (I took a pair of cargo shorts I'd bought there on my last Greek sojourn and after 10 mins wearing them had to ring them out!).Make some of your stuff in lighter fabrics occasionally!!! As my wife is a bit of a bargain hunter and hates paying full price for anything she usually nags me (orders me is probably more correct) to wait until the items I like are in one of their regular sales, where you can get some good value bargains. If you see a middle aged bloke around Newbury in last seasons Fat Face, White Stuff and Mantaray gear, that will be me!
