There was a bar providing alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, and water. To bring a drink other than water bottles into the theater , you have to buy a cup for $5. I did. However, note there are no cuo holders on your seat do you can hold it throughout or place on the floor. Restroom was clean. Didn't notice any musty smells this go-round. My seat was right in the middle, 5th row from the orchestra pit. That part was good. However, the seats are situated directly behind the seat in frint if you. Had it been sidestepped a bit, viewing would be great. As is, I had a head smack dab in front of me. It is a wee bit disturbing to be 5th row from the action, yet have a blind spot smack dab in the middle of the stage. That is all. Still not my fav of all venues because of seating and view.

In particular, I've gone to many Cajun dances here, but also English Country Dancing. The people that rent the hall are very welcoming and offer reasonable prices. There's a small bar where you can tap beer, or just serve ice water. The floor is wonderful, and there's a small stage for musical performances. Down in the basement are glass cabinets with cultural artifacts, such as musical instruments, pottery and traditional dress. The bathrooms are modernized and we'll kept. I enjoy attending events here. There's a parking lot on the left side of the building.

Schenley Plaza has an open grassy field for games and events, lots of benches, some restaurants, a tent, flowers and other plants, and a carousel in warmer weather. In previous years, I visited this plaza during food festivals that attracted many people. Most recently, I visited on a non-event day during cold weather, so few people were here then. Both times, I felt happy with the space and amenities. According to the park's calendar, upcoming events at Schenley Plaza include fitness classes, kids' activities, birdwatching, movies, etcetera.

I like the concept of a rooftop bar with a pool; something you'd find in major cities. I've only seen the pool covered with see-through flooring for walking/dancing. Thought it would be cool to go back sometime and swim but it's a party place so only expect to see those with the hottest bodies wading in water with cocktails. Drinks are pricey and both times there the staff/setup seemed to lack organization.
