Our experience with TJM Realty Group has been extremely, extremely disappointing. We entrusted them with finding a tenant for our property, but after two months, the house remained vacant, and communication was severely lacking. We asked multiple times for them to decrease the rent, but our requests were ignored. Updates on inquiries, showings, or feedback from potential tenants were nonexistent, leaving us completely in the dark about the status of our property.
When we proactively reached out for updates, we were met with frustration and told to be patient. While we understand that finding the right tenant takes time, professional and respectful communication should always be a priority. The one tenant they did find backed out within 24 hours, leaving chaos in their wake.
Once we finally fired them and took matters into our own hands, we found our own tenant within two weeks--who has been amazing.
Additionally, TJM Realty Group claimed they had completed repairs and prepared the house for occupancy. However, upon reviewing their so-called "repairs," we discovered a dirty house, fake fixes (charges for broken items that were never actually broken), and damaged items resulting from their showings (e.g., a mechanical blind and a window). It was clear the property was not tenant-ready despite their claims. Yet, they were more than happy to overcharge us for it all!
Lastly, we were extremely disappointed in how they communicated with us. While some people may be direct, their responses were often outright rude. Replies to simple and calm questions from Mark were written in capital letters, bold, and underlined, as if talking down to us like children (despite us being professionals ourselves). This condescending behavior is also evident in how they respond to negative reviews about their company. Instead of addressing concerns constructively and acknowledging areas for improvement, they shift blame onto others without offering explanations or solutions.
We are relieved that we did not continue working with them, as their treatment of property owners was far from satisfactory. We truly dodged a bullet by firing them after two months. The fact that we are posting this review nine months after working with them should show just how strongly we feel about warning others.
This experience also raises concerns about how they might treat tenants, reinforcing our confidence in the decision to end our engagement with them. read more
