We got evicted during covid because both my fiancée and I were furloughed from our jobs and this was the first place we could get. We were within 40 hours of having to sleep in our car. So for that I am grateful that Austin Park Avenue Property Management was able to help us out. During the three years we were there we had little to no contact with the actual landlord. We mostly delt with her assistant. Julie (the assistant) was the best part about living there. She is super helpful and just an incredible person. Anything we needed she helped us out. She is the reason we enjoyed living there. I pray that one day she takes over the business because she knows how to interact with people. The Landlord we had (Janet) is really nice too. But I just got the feeling she rather be golfing or playing tennis rather than owning property.

She knows her stuff. She has gone above and beyond in every aspect of this experience. She was blindly suggested through Zillow, I can't believe our luck. Initially, we contacted her and explained what we were looking for. Long story, short, we purchased a lot and are remotely completing a "lock and leave" home. Covid has created a few obstacles. She has been readily available to answer questions which is comforting when you are trying to execute completion at a distance. Kristen has helped us through each and every process, walk-through's, contracts, inspections, etc. We do not have a lot of experience in this arena and her expertise in contracts, building, and expectations has been a huge plus for us. Ms. Rodenbeck claims to be a CNE (Certified Negotiations Expert), I thought she overstated her accomplishments when we didn't hear from her for more than 4-days regarding an update from the sellers on our bid. After finally offering full price and informing us one of the principals was taken to the hospital, that there might be a delay in their response, we heard from her very quickly regarding the sellers having another full price cash bid and they were rejecting our bid two days before Christmas. She actually managed to negotiate a full price offer from the other bidder, and she never had to complicate the deal by negotiating with the second potential buyer. That is an unfair way to negotiate. I am not sore about losing this opportunity, I am sore we were never participating in a level playing field or stood a chance to offer a competitive bid, not knowing we were even in a competitive situation. I can assure Ms. Rodenbeck a complaint to the Highland Lakes Board of Realtors will follow after the holidays. The one star was awarded only because you couldn't submit a review unless you entered a minimum of one star. All I can say is buyer beware!!!
