My original switches bypassed the neutral line. Dwayne had no problem understanding the technical requirements and correctly routed the neutral line into the dimmer, with the line and load wires on the right poles. Not by accident, either, as I saw him use a non-contact sensor to verify which was which. He didn't want to open the breaker first (does any electrician ever do this?), but he wore thick insulated gloves (I've never seen one use those before). This guy seems to know what he's doing.

Trunnell Electric has been wonderful on several projects over the years. I have an old house (built…read morein the 1920s) with unique challenges and plaster walls. I'd like to talk about two projects in particular, both of which Walker did for us (he's great!): 1. Kitchen ceiling light - I had a pull-cord ceiling light, and wanted to add a wall switch. He replaced the lighting fixture BEAUTIFULLY without any ceiling/paint touch-ups needed, and instead of cutting up the entire wall to thread the wire to the wall switch, he made ONE 3-inch square cut that we were able to easily patch. Very impressive! It was like one of those new, fancy appendectomies. 2. My backyard sensor light - it stopped working, and we couldn't figure out why. Walker and his teammate came out and VERY quickly fixed the problem and re-calibrated so that the sensor works for exactly the areas in the yard that I wanted it to capture (pathway and sideyard), and not the alley. They care about my projects as if they were in their own homes.

Hector and Andrea were one of the few teams to respond right away. They diagnosed the issue quickly and gave us a quote that I felt was fair for the labor and materials required. The work took a few days, but they were super thorough and treated our home with great care. Their communication was also good - quick responses via Yelp and text made things go smoothly. Andrea was very kind, though her first language isn't English, so I recommend a little extra patience when communicating in person. We managed just fine, though! Definitely recommend them if you need reliable, professional electricians in the Wheaton area.

I reached out to PSEC and the Project Manager Mike Moretti answered my call and was at the site within 1/2 hour. He also was familiar with the property which was extremely helpful since it is an older property. He had a crew out at the property to determine where the outage originated. It was determined that it was a fault underground which required extensive work. There was a lot of moving parts and a lot of issues that came up during this job and Mr. Moretti informed me every step of the way during the entire time that he and his work crew were at the property. Because of the proliferation of breaker boxes, most electricians do not carry electrical fuses in their vehicles. During a restoration project of our HVAC closet and one bathroom we lost power in our kitchen, dining and living areas on 2 June 2023. Our Property Manager recommended PSE and an "Electrician" was dispatched to restore power on 5 June. After about four hours he was unable to identify the problem. He did replace two blown fuses which we provided. He recommended we reschedule for Friday, 9 Jun. PSE was a no-show on 9 June. I called PSE on Saturday, 10 Jun, the person I spoke to stated he would check the schedule for the week of 12 - 16 June and call back. unfortunately, I did not get a call back. I called PSE on 12 June and the person I spoke to was somewhat hesitant about rescheduling. I advised PSE that we no longer had a requirement for their services. I called another company which dispatched an electrician the same day. Our power was fully restored within 40 minutes after the Electrician arrive on site. We received a delinquent notice from our Property Management company. PSE had originated an invoice on 6 June the day after the PSE visit on 5 June, which we never received, indicates that PSE was through with us. Although PSE did not provide any parts the invoice included charges for equipment - we provided the only parts used, two fuses.
