Super yummy fish tacos! Staff is nice. Good seating inside but not really for a big group.

I thought the Tj oyster bar was ok . Food was pretty good , the workers and vibe was chill . Some of the flavors of the food were a lil different. The michelada was ok . Overall good spot , lots of things to choose from , would definitely try some of the pulpo items next time

Been coming to TJ oyster bar for years. I used to go to the one off Bonita road, and recently started coming to this location 2 years ago. I probably go here every week!! Every time I dine in at this place the service is spectacular!! The food was out in less than 5 mins, and at this location, if it's busy it does not take more than 15 minutes. They do table service so food is brought to you, just make sure you clean up after yourself when finished to help them! I ordered the smoked tuna taco, grilled fish taco, and Seafood Taco and all were 10/10. I highly recommend the seafood taco if you've never had it! It has octopus, scallops and grilled fish. So much flavor if you want the true seafood taco!!! All the tacos taste best with the chipotle sauce they give and a good spritz of like juice. I also recommend the shrimp ceviche tostado or the 7 seas broth for cold days. Love going here and will be back again

FULL ORDER AGUACHILE
Olivia G.

I purchased a full order of aguachile to find the container barely a quarter full. When I called, they said they count 20 pieces of shrimp for a FULL order. Definitely nothing compared to Karina's. I would recommend they notify everyone of how small a FULL order is when you pay $23.

Fish Taco up close ;)

In Sunbow Plaza, there's plenty of parking + shops around. I'vs been to TJ Oyster Bar for years and have recently been frequenting this location because of its easier accessibility. This location is also bigger than the one in Bonita, with plenty of tables and chairs inside and outside. Service is always great and when dining in - they offer limes, sauces, and they have free water cups. My go-to is ALWAYS their fish tacos!! It's so good, crispy, and the chipotle sauce is literally *chef's kiss*. They raised the prices so fish tacos are $3.50 each :,) but they still have their happy hour on weekdays only from 3-6pm where tacos are $2.50 each.

Two one tostada portion. Why is one missing half of what we paid for?

I have been going to TJ Oyster bar since they opened up the first spot off Dairy Mart Rd. I would say around 2001 We order food frequently. Today we ordered some food to go. When I opened up my bag at home I noticed that the portions of the soup and ceviche tostada were half of what they normally serve you. I called and asked to speak to the owner Ivan and the young lady said he was busy. I explained my concern and she explained that those were their portions. In the pic u can see one tostada a la diabla (full cup) and the second one is the tostada de ceviche. (Half cup) I know for a fact that they always serve a full cup being that I've ordered from there many times. What bothered me the most is that she kept making it seem as if I was being dishonest and she was proving my complain not valid. I didn't want them to give me a discount or my money back I just wanted them to do what's right and serve me the portion I paid for.

Tuna fries, micheladas, and Fish Ceviche Tostada
Alan P.

We went to TJ Oyster for lunch. As soon as we walked we were greeted by the cashier. We ordered a michelada to enjoy a Saturday afternoon. We asked for Pacifico but they were out of it. However, they mentioned that they were about restock and asked if we were willing to wait. The pacifico beers arrived shortly after so we didnt have to wait for the miches too long. We also got a couple of glasses of water but the water tasted a little bit weird. The Micheladas hit the spot. We sat outside since it was a really nice day. The Tuna fries were delicious. They Tuna fries have cilantro, onion, sauce and the fries were perfect. The serving portion is large enough to share between two people. The employees came out to check in on us to see if we needed anything. They were very attentive and friendly. This is definitely one if my favorite seafood places in Chula Vista.

The food honestly was not appealing. Certified Latina here.. no salt or seasoning used in tacos. Aguachile was not spicy at all :(

At long last I decided to order a platter for a family dinner. The platter presentation was nice with plenty of rolls (7 I believe). It's a good value for the quality and quantity. Every roll was fresh and delicious. The Lemon Cilantro roll was the family favorite. We did not dine in...yet. But when I picked up the platter, the restaurant did look very nice. Big patio dining area and just a chill vibe inside. The front of house employees were friendly and very helpful. My transaction was quick and easy. Overall, a great spot for sushi in the Chula Vista area. We are definitely coming back. Especially for the happy hour offerings.

There is ample seating, good ambiance, and of course, great food. We ordered: edamame (9/10), calamari (10/10 & one of my favorites due to the great, crunchy breading), roasted brussle sprouts (10/10), otay ranch roll (7.5/10), cherry blossom roll (8/10), crunchy roll (9/10), lemon cilantro roll (10/10), cucumber salad (10/10), & yakisoba. I highly recommend Casa Nori if you want quality Japanese food that is tucked away from the rest of Eastlake/Otay Ranch.

My friend couldn't finish his entire Mindkiller drink because it was so strong, but he did enjoy it. The bathrooms are super cool, and the interior is very trippy and chic. I'm a big fan of how much effort and attention to detail the creators put into this location.

She…read moretaught me about all the different spirits that Mexico manufactures (other than the well known spirits of Tequila and Mezcal) and knew how to showcase the unique spirits of Mexico with cocktails that really leverage these spirits. She recommended a milk punch cocktail that incorporated Sotol, which is kind of like tequila but instead of fermenting agave, it ferments Dasylirion and is made only in Chihuahua. Then she recommended a cocktail that leverages a Mexican produced corn liquor in a Negroni but with gin subbed with mezcal. Both of these cocktails are bartenders choice and not on the menu, but the fact that they can execute such innovative cocktails so we'll speaks to the level of dedication bartenders at this bar have. Renee even gave pointers as to where I might be able to buy some of the bottles they use and for a few other bars of similar caliber to visit nearby. Instead of ending my trip at Nortico as previously planned, she helped me find a really cool new bar in Tijuana! Highly recommend.

I got El Bàsico burrito and it was like how I used to eat it growing up when my parents would make it for me. I asked for a side of the poblano salsa they use for the chilaquiles and it was so good! They gave you a small side of consume and that didn't disappoint either. The papas didn't have too much flavor but were nice and crispy. The beans were my wife's favorite.
