I love Marshall's and unfortunately, there is no TJ Maxx or Marshall's close to where I live. As mentioned in the other review, TJ Maxx, Marshall's and HomeGoods are all owned by the same company and carry much of the same merchandise. Marshall's has a great mix of name brand shoes, luggage, purses, housewares, clothing and cosmetics. For anyone who purchases hair care product lines from Rusk, Chi, Nexxus, Biosilk, Matrix - Marshalls has many professional hair care product lines it is worth taking a look. Unfortunately, they do not have what I use, but you can spend a fortune at the salon on hair care products and these prices are VERY reasonable! After Christmas, I actually found some Origins. Origins is my FAVORITE brand of skin care and cosmetics! I only found ONE item, but now I know there is a slim chance I could find some Origins at Marshall's I will be there even more often when I am in Springfield!

So I had found a few and wanted to try them on, I went in and asked my significant other to help me pull up my dress. Since the worker "Connie" was too busy talking to her friends at another register. Once she had saw my significant other in the dressing room, mind you she wasn't doing her job and decided to make a petty comment, there's little girls in here to him. He is not a peeper, I didn't see anyone else in the dressing room. He just helped me pull up the zipper of my dress. I was really upset about that accusation which is HUGE accusation and wasn't gonna buy the dress from her, she decided to grab the dress from and said she would just hold it for me. I had a gut feeling to not buy a dress from her especially with that nasty comment. "SHE ONLY CARES ABOUT COMMISSION" that's why she took my dress for me. " oh I'll hold it for you". A couple days go by it's 2/27/25. I decided to return the dress I go in waited let's say 15-20 mins at the register. Here comes "Connie" she made a huge sigh and said oh you are trying to return this dress and asked why I said I have found another dress proceeds to rip the bag and check the dress, and I hand her the receipt she said "I can't return this you missed the 3 day period" she proceeds to say "well if you can read in black bold letters it says 3 day return", "obviously you didn't read your receipt. there's nothing I can do about it, it's the 27th "Making me feel so incompetent. I have already had a bad day and she was just making me feel like I didn't understand English. I said okay that's fine, I didn't know and plus she didn't inform me of the return policy the day I bought it. Why examine and rip the bag if you weren't going to do the return. Also Didn't even hand me the dress. I was so upset and was like you can just keep my dress but my sister said no you spent money on it and get it back. So I had to go behind the counter to get my dress since she didn't want to give/hand it to me. I walked away and was crying cause she just made me feel like I was dumb and didn't understand her. I was born here in the US. I did tell her I will be talking to "Kim" who is in the purse area I have bought many bags from her she is an amazing Sale Associate who doesn't treat you like you are less than her. She also tried to call and inform kim of me walking over to speak to her cause the phone ranged right when I went over to the purse area I spoke to Kim and she said she would tell someone about it. When I left the Dillard store I can tell Connie has been gossiping about me with everyone cause everyone was staring at me. So I went and asked her for her name and I told her you need to learn to be nice to customers cause I work in customer service you don't show negative emotions you must be patient to every customer even if you get frustrated. I called customer service and I explained everything they decided to give me Toms number who is the district manager. I have called and left him a voice mail and he has yet to call me back. It's like they just don't care about customers at all. If you have cared you would have called.

Why does Dillard's use U.S. Post Office to make home deliveries. The item I wanted was not in our…read morelocal store in Springfield, MO so the sales associate suggested ordering it for home delivery. That was a $10 extra charge. The order was shipped out of Little Rock, AR on 12/2/25 and here it is 12/13/25 and the item is stuck in post office hell. Dillard's web site says shipped items should arrive within 3 - 5 days. According to the online tracking info, the shipment made it from Little Rock to Kansas City and then somewhere onward presumably heading to Springfield. It has been sitting in that status for 5 days with no movement. Out of desperation, I found the same product on Amazon for $10 cheaper and next day delivery! So I have ended up paying Dillard's an extra $20 for an item that has never been delivered! When will Dillard's realize our U.S. Post Office is very broken? To top it off, when I called the local Dillard's store as per tracking instructions to see if they could shed some light as to where my package was, the response, was "yup it is somewhere between Kansas City and who knows where". Pathetic!

Then I heard him say to a girl worker in the store while pointing at me "Watch her. I don't trust girls with tattoos." He followed me through the whole store, all the way up until I was checking out. They have a little bit of everything at great prices. But the real clincher is the staff. Last week I thought I had lost one of my AirPods. Was actually shopping online for a new pair when I walked in to Ross. I had been in there maybe 5-10 minutes when one of the supervisors--Phillip--saw me and brought me a piece of paper that had my MISSING AIRPOD taped to it and my name (they know my name!) written at the top. The general manager, Glenn, is the sweetest, kindest man and always makes a point to speak to me if he sees me. I don't know All of their names but Cora works Monday nights as cashier and she's so sweet. All in all, this is my very favorite shopping experience in Springfield.
