My mom made up for my shoes by buying me cool designer socks. It's exactly the same for me as an adult. Today I wanted to purchase a pair of comfortable shoes for an event I am attending today. I have drove by Baron's before in the past few months but they were always closed. Today I called to inquire about if they took Apple Pay, they don't, and that was my clue that they were indeed open. I was 3 blocks away from them when I made the call so I drove up and parked. I waited for the young man inside to come and unlocked the door and I was hopeful that I would leave with a pair of shoes because I saw my desired style and color in their window. After looking around for 4-5 minutes the young man informed me that he was not allowed to sale shoes and that "she", I assume "she" is the owner, only comes in 3 days a week. Those days were not given to me. I lied and said I would return, I won't. I don't believe in giving my money to businesses who clearly don't want it. "Big mistake. Big. Huge. I stood there looking up every scent in Google to see what it smells like. Google will tell you main scent, middle scent and underlying scent and if it lingers. It took me about 35 minutes to work my way around the shelf and they were all sealed and the real deal..not watered down. Senorita another great one. Perry Ellis 18 the bomb! Guess and many other great colognes all with my hints if sandalwood and lavender. I bought 12 bottles for about $150. Some pricier than others and beautiful bottles. They are all the lingering designer scents that are not cheap in department stores. It was a geek moment for me and I took those treasured bottles home that look like jewels on my dresser. That first spray and you know...it's a winner! The store is not heavily stocked, a mish mash of home items, broken and damaged furniture they will take another 10% off sales girl said, nice rugs, kitchen stuff, clothing ok, some items look worn. I go there mostly for home goods, pet supplies and other non essentials at good prices. They have a lot of beautiful clothes that are also affordable, and that's what initially caught my eye. Kudos to their marketing and merchandise team for grabbing my attention from afar.
