Both shirts were bought online with a 30% off discount totaling $41.86. When the girl was checking me out she did the return and exchange all in one transaction. I left after receiving my receipt and a different sized shirt. It wasn't until I walked out of the store did I realize the cashier failed to return ALL of the money that was owed back to me ($18.83) for the shirt I returned. Instead, she only refunded me $8.96. Stunned that I was ripped off, I returned to the store and confronted another employee about the return. She then told me to wait for the same girl to checked me out before to return to the register. I then confronted her about the return and told her that she shorted me money on my card. She then tried to explain to me that she could NOT do an "even exchange" since I returned the shirt IN STORE and the price of the exchanged shirt would cost me the original price ($32.90)! Shocked that she failed to bother explaining this to me to begin with, I told her I would not like to keep the exchanged shirt since I was tricked into thinking I was actually getting an even price exchange. She then returned the shirt and told me that I could not receive the full $32.90 I was originally charged out of the returned items since an exchange would be "final sale". Somehow, she gave me back $8.96 when I returned the exchanged shirt (didn't make any sense to me at all). I told her it was unfair that she would cheat me out of the full amount of money I was owed. Her and the other employee did not fully understand how to return an online item for an even exchange and basically told me that they couldn't do anything else to resolve the situation! They failed to offer me any number for corporate, nor call a supervisor regarding the blatantly obvious issue. Both of the employees felt comfortable letting me walk out of the store ripped off and dissatisfied. I left and immediately called the Windsor customer service number and told the operator, Brianna, how poorly the entire situation was handled by both of the employees. Brianna immediately told me that the situation never should've occurred and worked hard to resolve it. I honestly would never shop at any other Windsor store after my poor experience if it wasn't for Brianna's help. Windsor has excellent quality clothes so to have this kind of an experience in their store was very disappointing for me. If you dare to enter this store and spend your money here (god help you), make sure the cashier gives you the right change/amount on your card back, and do not let these employees steal money from you. I'm sure I'm not the first customer they ripped off!

There aren't many options for plus sized clothing in York besides Lane Bryant, so I'll drive the extra distance just to find clothing that isn't made for 40 year old women. I am 20 years old, after all. Torrid carries sizes 12-28, and their clothing is what I would describe as alternative chic. In case you didn't know, Torrid was created by Hot Topic for plus sized women specifically. First of all, the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their brand and it's sizing systems. A staff member helped me find the perfect jeans, which is absolutely unheard of for me. They were all warm and considerate, and kept checking on me while I was trying on numerous items of clothing and taking pictures. I was never once treated rudely, and their staff followed the practice of watching the customer but only butting in when the customer asks questions or looks confused. It makes the shopping experience better, because most other stores treat me like I'm stealing if I spend a significant amount of time there, or they follow me around and comment on each item I even look at. Torrid's clothing is trendy yet also made for comfort. I can't imagine trying on something of theirs and feeling like I have to take it off right away. They had everything you can imagine from sweaters, dresses, skirts, jeans, lingerie, shoes, jewelry, fragrances and more. Unfortunately I can not fit into their lingerie due to needing a larger bra size than what they stock, but I tried some of it on anyway and it was very comfortable and made me feel sexy despite being the complete wrong size for me. Their prices were slightly high for certain items, but other items were very reasonably priced. My favorite part of the store were the fitting rooms. When you walk into the fitting room area, you're greeted with a huge space with chandeliers, leopard print carpet, amazing lighting, and huge mirrors. This area is also air conditioned. When you go into an individual fitting room, it's very spacious, very well lit, has a huge mirror, and a fan up in the corner that you can control as you please. I've had the feeling of being hot, cramped, and sweaty in way too many fitting rooms in the past. Torrid's fitting rooms made me feel comfortable and important. They truly thought of every detail to make the fitting room experience a positive one for plus sized women, rather than just throwing together a fitting room area like Lane Bryant (where I've always been drenched in sweat as I try on jeans and sweaters). I love the fact that there's now a good plus size store in this part of Pennsylvania, because it's been long overdue. If you're plus size and want to be treated like a Princess, go to Torrid as soon as possible.

If I have the wrong size item, I get dressed, go back out to the floor, get the next size, and return to the waiting room. If I need help reaching something up high, or if I have questions about the sales signs, I have to go find help and hope that the individual behind the register (because that's usually where they all are) isn't grandly inconvenienced by my request. The clothes are nice, and there's usually a great variety of new stuff as well as a considerable clearance section in the back. That's the only reason I keep coming back. It certainly isn't the service. The folks here could really learn a thing or two from the staff at the Ann Taylor locations at the Outlets on Route 30.
