Behind the grotty red façade lies one of the last authentic barbers in Belfast. It's actually quite rare to find such a small independent business tucked away right in the shopping heart of a city. Just 3 metres away from the hiving Royal Avenue on the sadly rundown Lower Garfield St this barber is a perfect antidote to the large chain hairdressers which circle the city centre.
Inside it's got that traditional vibe with not many concessions to style. Staff are brusque but friendly and there's never too long a wait once you plonk yourself down on the chairs by the window.
Prices seem reasonable enough and there's always plenty of banter among the older clientele, most of whole never seem to get a haircut instead preferring to sit and chat. Great spot, highly recommended if you want a cheap neat crop.
