Tito's Latin Kitchen in Tampa gave me New York City vibes right away; bold, urban, and lively. The food was decent, though not the best I've had. The beef was dry and overdone. The pork chops were okay, but also overdone and lacked juiciness. The arroz con gondules was lackluster. The menu has a lot of promise and the atmosphere is fun, but for the price I expected more on the meat quality. If you're curious for Latin American flavor in a stylish spot, it's worth checking out. Service was average and nothing special.

Quick lunch after a flight - solid 8/10. We stopped in for a quick bite and ordered arroz con gandules, pernil, a side of tostones, and a beef alcapurria. Portions were generous -- easily enough for two people. The flavors were delicious and comforting, definitely reminded us of home back in Jersey/New York. The alcapurria was just okay -- could've used a bit more meat, but still had good flavor overall. Everything else hit the spot. Would definitely come back.

Went to Titos aftet spending my morning at the beach. Had a few fritters. The empanada meat was different I always have the beef empanada which comes with ground meat sauted in sauce. This empandas meat was just fried. A bit bland. The alcapuria was OK. The service was also OK.Overall an Ok experience.

It just so happens that today, January 25, the planets align and it occured to me that maybe that is why I was drawn to Tito's and discovered the wonderful food they have. With my nephew the dentist in tow, we decided to try a new Puerto Rican place he found on line. He's been living/working in Ocala and misses the food from home. So, food to go for 3, him and I and the wife. To our delight, everything we ordered was very authentic and delicious. All 3 of us, agreeing as we ate how great the food was and how authentic it tasted. We had tostones, mofongo, carne frita, chicharon de pollo, arroz y habichuelas. All of it was spot on, appeazing my very discerning tastes when it comes to latino food. The star of the show was my wife's Mofongo. A ball of fried green plantain that has garlic, chicharon, spices and sometimes caldo, mashed with a wooden mortar and pestle. It was divine, one of the best I have had. Moist, savory and flavorful we all tried it and rolled our eyes. Sooo, Tito can cook! The place was clean, looked fairly new, had Nuyorican decor and was located on Waters Ave. a few blocks east of Armenia. Parking in front, part of a strip center, small and cozy. There was a nice young lady to take our order and bag it to go. The menu was brief but hit a lot of the typical dishes and treats you would encounter back in PR. I will mention to people unfamiliar with Cuban and P. Rican food, that a lot of it is fried and they tend to over fry foods to an extent, it's a cultural thing, it's just their way. So when you order fried pork chunks, fried chicken chunks or fried pork chops, you can expect it to be well fried and dark. Which as a cook I stop short of that when I prepare food to leave more moisture and juiciness. So, tonight when I gaze up into the sky to witness the celestial event, I will thank the stars for my good fortune today. Pull up a chair, your gonna want to try the food.

What a treasure of a find on a hot Friday afternoon for lunch! The A/C was working great inside Tito's ( it is no longer just a food trunk ). The owner or manager has done a very creative job on decor inside to reflect New York Puerto Rican pride! Really cute inside and very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed two Pincho's. Which are skewers of meat. One of chicken and one of pork - both delcioso with sweet media niche bread on the side. Our sandwich we shared was the churrasco with hot, fresh friend. The flank steak was prepared perfectly and there was enough food that lunch tomorrow is covered. The cashier was super friendly and the guy who was making the food in the kitchen came out, made eye contact with my husband, and with gesturing made certain we liked the food. My husband nodded enthusiastically! YES! A great find off Waters Avenue that you should check out some day soon!

Titos Latin Kitchen 1809 W Waters Ave, Tampa, FL 33604 Looking for some good Puerto Rican food New York Style? Then let me recommend Titos Latin Kitchen. They recently had thier Grand Re-opening this past weekend and the Locals came in with a lot of support. I remember coming here when they were just a food truck and now they have thier very own place. CONGRATULATIONS! Come on by and try them out! Aside from thier Good Puerto Rican food , they also serve frappes that will blow your mind. They started also selling pastries as well. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and the service is quick. I appreciate the art and vibe of the place, which reminds me of home in New York the Bronx

This " churrasco " don't taste like nothing its ma plain no seasoning at all. I had to put salt on it

Food wasn't that great and I'm from NY my self so I know the real deal MOFONGO was a mangu Churrasco taste blah no seasoning at all And small chunks so you don't even get a full churrasco like in other places I won't be going back smh

The alcapurria we over priced at $5 a piece and were monga because of adding potatoes to the masa and if your Puerto Rican you'd know what I mean. The carnitas was ok, but the tostones were not. and cooked with the same grease as the pork.

If ever you've been confused by a review of mine where I gave a popular restaurant with high ratings a low star review... then come to Tito's and see why!!! So far I've only tried the CHURRASCO SKIRT STEAK PLATE ($14) with yellow rice, but I honestly don't know if I will ever try anything else because it was SOOOO GOOD! Seasoned by angels and cooked with such perfection that I will absolutely crave this for the rest of my life! THIS, my dear Yelp people, is EXACTLY what I mean by "flavorful" seasoning. They have completely ruined skirt steak cooked by anyone else because I can't go back to anything less than this level of satisfaction! Even the Strawberry Banana Smoothie ($6) is excellent! Tito's is currently located in an empty lot next to the Citgo Gas Station on the corner of North Jones Ave and West Waters Street, but this is also the location of their soon to be brick & mortar restaurant. So if you love New York style Puerto Rican cuisine, rush here as soon as possible and taste heaven on a plate! 2021 / 91

Super friendly service. Nice outdoor seating area. Loads of insects in the area; wear insect spray! I got an alcpapurria and my partner got an empanada. Both were excellent. Fresh. Crispy. I would come back again and again for these. We both also got Bistec sandwiches. The bread was fantastic. The steak wasn't charred enough for my liking. The sandwich had way too much sauce. It was tasty, but I wouldn't run back for this. The portions were huge.
