Upon further investigation, I found that door-to-door sales representatives convinced my grandparents--both in their 80s--to sign a $68,000 solar loan with a 25-year term on a mobile home. At the time: * My grandmother was actively battling dementia (she passed away shortly afterward) * My grandfather is visually and hearing impaired * The documents were signed on a tablet and sent to an email account neither of them knew how to access This loan provided no financial benefit. In fact, my grandfather--who lives on a fixed income--is now paying more for this loan than he would have paid for electricity. Based on the loan term, he would need to live well past 100 years old to pay it off. I filed a formal complaint with GoodLeap nearly three months ago, citing financial elder abuse. Since then: * Communication has been extremely limited * I have had to repeatedly follow up just to get responses * The only update provided is: "the investigation is still ongoing" * I was told that a single representative is solely responsible for handling these complaints * I was not provided with any management escalation path This lack of transparency and accountability is deeply concerning given the seriousness of the situation. We are now: * Filing a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's Office * Consulting with an attorney regarding legal action If you or a family member have experienced something similar, I strongly encourage you to file a complaint with your state's Attorney General and document everything.
