Well, she finished that paperwork and went and got another stack of paperwork. Finally, another girl helped us and she was very nice. I realize it would be difficult to work at the tag office and deal with the public. But if you are going to work face to face with the public you should at least have some manners.

There is a section for license plates and then everything else dealing with titles. The line crept along at a moderate pace and after 45 minutes waiting, I was finally at the window. The staff was pleasant enough but I could tell she didn't want to be there anymore than I did. It's hard to understand what they're saying because they're behind a plexiglass divider. If you're the type of person that doesn't carry cash make sure you have $7 for notary because they don't take any other form of payment. I had to use the ATM and it cost me $3. I know most DMV and License Plate Agencies get bad reviews, yet this wasn't that bad.

After waiting nearly 10 days for an appointment today was the day. As a new resident here in NC I'm not too familiar with directions yet, so I went on and put the name of the place in the gps. Come to find out there was one near my area. When I get there my appointment was at 1:30 Pm so I was on time. Easy access to find parking. When I go inside there is an armed security guard, by the entrance, there was a line with about 15 ppl ahead of me but the line was moving quick. They called the people that had an appointment to the front of the line. I was up next. The older white lady did not grab her name took care of me. She was very polite and informative. When I hand her my documents come to find out I went to the wrong DMV. She quickly took actions into finding out if she can help me or not and she did. Took my documents to checking everything made sure everything was alright. There was also an African American guy next to her, he seems to be the one in charge he was helping ppl fast on the line and very professional. I waited about 20 minutes to get called. I went to the booth number 11. Was a nice lady will soon updated it and get her name the teller. She was calm, nice, and very helpful. Help me with my license and transfer. I'll give this place 5 more stars if I can I'm really happy to know we have a professional DMV in my area.

There was only 1 person helping everyone for about 40 minutes. It was weird because 2 ladies were sitting behind the counter just talking and laughing but not taking any customers. I wasn't sure if they were on lunch or what but it was a bit odd. Even still the line moved pretty smoothly and I was able to get my things done in about 90 minutes or so.

I had taken a 1/2 day off of work to prepare for the insanity of obtaining a North Carolina Drivers License. Never in my wildest dreams, did I even fathom that I would have the luxury of subsequently obtaining my License Plate on the same day. The day started early and we made the "Pilgrimage" up to Salisbury. I had this appointment booked months out; this was the only place I could go. I was pretty much humiliated and ended up on my way, pretty quick - with a copy of my new Drivers License. I decided to take a chance, making my way to this North Carolina Plate Agency; - I have to tell you: Pleasantly Surprised; Arrive early - I think they open at like 10AM; - I found the Staff to be "Stoic" & "No Nonsense" - Make sure you have "Singles" - No ain't nobody goona dance for you; - You have to pay the Notary Fees in US Cash and I don't think they have an ample supply of cash to make change. Keep your $20 Bills at home "Balla" - It won't impress anyone. Make sure you know the mileage on your vehicle and come prepared. Staff are helpful, efficient and will get you on your way quick. I arrived at 815a on a Monday and there were already about 20 people in line. All I needed was to renew an expiring license. It started out good when the doors opened at 830a. The lady directing folks to different lines told me window 6. I told the lady very CLEARLY and I handed her my license. It's going to EXPIRE on the August 27th and I need a VISION test. She's on the keyboard typing away, the gives me some forms to complete and then administers the EYE Test. She charged me $10 bucks and I thought that was a little low. Then she sends me over to another line to get my photo taken. The man looks at my paper work and says 'you do need a photo for a duplicate licenses. I told him what I was there for. It took me an HOUR from once I got inside to get everything sorted. The lady filled out the wrong forms and then BLAMED it on the computer. An Hour in the last place on earth you want to be on a Monday morning.

I'm hesitant to write such a glowing review of a DMV DOT l.ocation, in fear of starting a trend by my fellow South Charlotteans of bypassing our more conveniently located ones (with the widely reported surly attitudes and the poor customer service), in favor of this one; however, such consistent friendly customer service should and must be recognized. Although a 45-minute drive north of my south Charlotte home, the ride was definitely worth it to get such unparalleled state service. In fact, their smiling faces and courtesy almost made me pinch myself to make sure that I wasn't dreaming or at either Chick-fil-A or Trader Joe's or Costco, three businesses known for such superior customer service. This is my second encounter at this location, both times of which, I had to transfer a title and get a new tag. The one lady who does that was polite, efficient and knowledgeable. Amazingly, she even made me feel like she really appreciated me as a customer. Go figure! I she even said "My pleasure!" upon thanking her. (Hold on a second while I pinch myself again.) This location is a testimony to excellent management, for that's where great customer service starts. Kudos to the manager there and to his or her staff. Again, I was reluctant in writing this positive review in fear of people actually reading it and adding to its lines, but I hope that other locations would seek to use this one is a model for improvement!
