If you're trying to get fit and push yourself out of your comfort zone, this is the place to do it! The workout is an hour ( 15 minute warmup, 8 3 minute rounds of boxing with 1 minute active rest in between rounds, and 15 minutes core in the end. All the trainers are dope and all of them are extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about boxing. Shout out to Veronika, Eric, Mario, Katie, Anthony, Bruce, Moses, and Tim. They're amazing at what they do, and title is lucky they have them. If you've never boxed before, get there 20 minutes early so you can get your hand wraps and get familiar with how to throw a punch. Remember, you might not be that great your first class, but I can promise you if you push yourself out of your comfort zone, be consistent with how often you go, and ask questions, you'll see a vast improvement in your punches, footwork, and cardio. I highly recommend this place!! I'm there a lot so if you come in, I'm more than happy to help if you find yourself confused with the punching combinations. Keep up the great work! read more

Do not sign up for a membership unless you want to be charged a membership fee forever. I've been trying to cancel my membership for the past 3 months and they keep charging me, even after assuring me over the phone my membership was cancelled and that I wouldn't be charged again. It's a shame it's come to this because I did enjoy the classes, however I will no longer support a business that is corrupt and dishonest in this way. read more

I am very disappointed to be providing this review. This is a local business and it is unfortunate that they are not relying on their product, but these are difficult times. The product is pretty solid; the trainers are good; the workouts are fun. Caveat emptor to anybody signing up to this location. I have been attempting to cancel a membership for months on end, to no avail. I have been instructed I can only cancel in person. Repeated requests by email have been futile. Furthermore, the business is physically closed so that it is not possible to show up and cancel. My last visit to Title was in May, 2019, and yet they are effectively attempting to garner charity during the coronavirus shutdown by holding me financially hostage. Best of luck to individuals who cannot afford $129/month for an unavailable service where the provider has no intention of being honest. Now I'm resorting to my bank. I have spent enough goodwill on this place. read more

After attending Unanimous Boxing for 12 sessions I came to TITLE Boxing Club who was nice enough to invite me to a free session. Everything started great. It is more of a work out than practical lessons to box. The amount of combinations were confusing and either too slow or too fast. There are a lot of people in the class. We all know what happens when classes are big. The amount of personal attention suffers. I may be more of an audiophile than most. What does this have to do with the review. Well i went on a Sunday morning and the instructor uses a microphone to yell at the people the instructions he wants then to do. This mixed with the amount of confusing combinations was really it for me. The people in the class were not very nice. People were not matching up with appropriate partners and really tried to avoid eye contact. The club is more anti social. Meant for people who tend to not to want to interact with people. I walked out of class. My ears could not take it any longer! read more

What a solid addition to wicker park! I had never tried boxing before, and to be honest I was totally intimidated by the idea of trying it. I'm a pretty athletic person, but I'm definitely not at my peak fitness currently - so knowing I'd drop in to a class for the first time surrounded by fit people who actually knew what was going on was daunting. I am pleased to tell you I couldn't have been more wrong. The facility is awesome, and the staff is very friendly. They immediately helped me get acquainted with the equipment and gym. They also help you get wrapped (which you'll have to buy for $10) and get you started. Also, during class they do a great job of breaking down the moves so that it's easy to follow along and go at your own pace. Additionally, the workout itself was great. It was so stress relieving, fast paced overall, and super fun. The rotations happen every few minutes so you never get bored with the activity you're doing, and you can get rid of a ton of tension. I would highly recommend title to anyone interested in getting in a good high intensity work out in! read more

Boxing is such a great way to work up a sweat, keep your heart rate up and great form of stress relief. I was super happy they opened up a boxing gym in Wicker! I cannot speak on all the trainers, but have been to Eric, Mario and Veronika's classes and they were all great! But between the three, I always work up the most sweat in Eric's class. Boxing can be a bit intimidating with the technique, but the instructors always go over the moves 5 minutes before class to ensure you get the basics down. They also walk around during each round to see how everyone's doing. Also, if you're not sure on how to wrap your hands, there is usually always two additional staff members on hand to help with that. If you don't own a pair of boxing gloves, you can always borrow a pair! Be weary that your hands get really sweaty between the wraps and the gloves! They do clean the gloves, but they can only do so much to get into the nooks and crannies of the inside of the gloves. In terms of pricing, I'd say it's relatively cheaper than most specialty type gyms. Wraps are $10 for a pair and gloves vary in pricing. Staff is very knowledgeable and can help you find the best fit as most of them box themselves. In terms of staff, they are very much that Wicker Park, idgaf, type environment, which may not always seem as welcoming especially if you're already intimidated by it. If you've ever been to iLoveKickboxing WAY different vibe than that, like complete opposite. Not a bad thing, it's just they are more genuine and don't come off as fake. Overall, good experience with the workouts and the instructors I've had. The one thing I didn't like was the poor communication with the gloves I ordered. I was told a week for my gloves and it ended up being a little over 3 weeks. I was told I'd receive an email on the order, never did. Not mad about it, just an area of suggested improvement. read more

I have had the greatest experience with TITLE since I started going about three years ago. I had a membership, but switched to ClassPass to try more gyms near my house. It is the best and most fun workout I've ever done. My usual spot is the Lincoln Park location, but I'll come to Wicker Park for specific trainers. Moses is my absolute favorite and I recommend that anybody, beginner or experienced, take his class. Like most gyms in Chicago, it's expensive, but I think it's worth it if you are going to go at least a couple times a week. Try a class for free and you'll be hooked! read more

The workouts are good but if you decide it's not for you and try to cancel they will charge you hundreds and track you down ruthlessly through calls and collections. Ultimately a bad experience and know that you are signing in blood when you sign their contracts. read more

0 stars. Walked in to try it for the first time, took an Uber to get there and everything. To receive your first free trial class you have to make an appointment- so even though it was my first time there they were going to charge me 35 dollars to drop in. That is insane. Didn't try to stop me walking out or accommodate me as a new potential member. Very disappointed read more

If your looking for a fun and exciting way to get in shape then try Title out! The workouts are 1 hour long and really push you to do your best and work hard. THe first 15 minutes are cardio or some sort, then its 30 minutes of boxing, and 15 minutes of core. Really well time class and you can go at your own pace. The trainers have each been great and very energetic. My only complaints would be that i wish there was a better pen spot for them to show us whats coming next. In addition, there is only one kickboxing class a week at night...I really wish there were several more as this is my favorite class! Each class is slightly different but focuses as endurance, a bit of technique and just trying new routines out. I like that they have times at night to go to as well which really helps anyone who works until 5. They also offer passes where you can use the different gyms around town so i can go near my house or by work making it even more convenient. Even if you are new to boxing or never tried it out before I would recommend giving it a shot as it is such a fun way to work out. read more

I would caution anyone looking to sign up for a membership here - it is impossible to cancel. I have been charged for the past five months despite endless attempts to cancel. I have called, emailed, and went to the location in person to cancel numerous times, yet I am always charged. I have a friend who was charged randomly despite canceling their membership last year and they refused to pay her back. It is honestly a scam. It is insanely expensive and you will be paying for it far longer than you plan. I would give this place 0 stars if I could - go literally anywhere else. read more

Had a problem with Title Boxing, will not get into details of the experience but I will say that after several attempts to resolve the problem Veronica came into the picture and was able to resolve the problem quickly and professionally. Veronica is a true asset to Title Boxing Club and should be recognize for her true managerial skills. read more

I started with Title about 4 months ago and have become so obsessed with it! The classes are constantly changing and challenging me and it's an open door whenever you need either a quick workout with the weights and equipment, or for a full class. Highly recommend trying it! read more

Title Boxing Club is addicting! I've tried numerous types of workouts through Classpass, but kept coming back to Title. I decided to get a membership because it's the most intense, challenging, and fun class. I always feel welcomed, especially when I'm greeted by Jorge, who works the front desk. The instructors are friendly, passionate and motivating, and I absolutely love taking class from Bruce, Moses, Eric and Veronika. They all offer something different, and I never hesitate to approach them after class if I have any questions. Thank you TBC Wicker Park staff for making my experience so enjoyable! I've recommended TBC to many friends/family members and they get *hooked* too! read more

Really great gym. I am happy with this gym, all professionals who make sure you achieve your goals. Very friendly, Veronica totally kicks ass! Definitely get an intense workout each time. Over all great experience and friendly as well. read more

Tried the first class for free here with my sister. We are both primarily runners but we love trying new and different types of exercise. Both of our first time boxing, and it was SO fun! We did the 60 minute Boxing class with Mario. Two days later now and I am feeling sore pretty much everywhere (yay!). For some reason I was surprised at how good of a cardiovascular workout it was, and also surprised at how much of a whole body workout it was. The more effort you put in, the better of a workout you get out of it. Definitely recommend. read more

Very saddened to write this review, as I've had a great experience here over the years. The staff/trainers are great, and its the best workout ive ever had. That being said during the pandemic they decided to "open" back up and charged me in july. I have had, and will have, no plans to go back into an enclosed, poorly ventilated space during a pandemic. In order to avoid getting charged again in August, I emailed, called, and texted to try and get my membership put on hold until it was safe. These were all ignored until I was charged again. I was told that I could put my account on hold for 3 months, and that they could put my account on hold again in 3 months (today) so that I wouldnt get charged and could eventually resume my membership when it was safe. Well I was charged again today and was told i couldnt be refunded due to not manually putting my account on hold again. Which it was implied to me that they would just do this again, because you know its a pandemic. Very fraudulent business practices, but again great instructors. I had hoped to continue working out here for years to come and am so sad that I will never recommend or set foot in this place again. read more

To attend one class is over $30. Want a membership? Will get you to sign up then force you to buy boxing gloves to continue. Cancellation policy $250 or another month of boxing. Total rip-off. Expect $109-$140 per month for okay, not-so-motivating boxing in an empty class setting. There's way better things to do out there than this. read more

This place ROCKS!! Julia, Jude, Nick, and especially my Trainer, Veronika, are simply PHENOMENAL. Today was my first class...butt kicked,,,sweat induced...I feel GREAT! For those on the fence, this is definitely worth a visit. You can thank me later!!! read more
