I called Shaun for a roofing estimate, he came out the next day and gave me a detailed quote…read morelisting each option and price separate so I could decide what we wanted/needed to be done. Other quotes I received were a bundled price making it more difficult to determine how much the roof was vs the gutters and skylight replacements as an example. Shaun is amazing, as is his foreman and crew. They kept me informed while doing what's right, while using the best materials. They worked around my schedule and didn't rush the job, taking an extra day due to some damage to the roof on my screened in porch, which I knew we'd run into due to the old skylights leaking. Shaun gave me multiple options regarding the repair which enabled me to determine how much I wanted to spend on the repairs without compromising the structural integrity of the finished job. I would highly recommend Murphy's Exterior Construction if you're looking for a contractor that is honest and goes the extra mile to do the right thing.

We had the siding replaced on our house and used a different contractor. We ran into significant…read moreproblems with the project. Our window started leaking after the other contractor finished the siding project. When we tried to contact the other contractor, he would not return our many calls, texts, or emails. We tried to contact a couple other companies (including the company that originally installed our windows) for help, but no one wanted to get involved or would help us because they did not want to be liable for the other contractor's work. Shaun Murphy (owner of Murphy's Exterior Construction) just happened to be working on a project at our neighbor's house during this same time period. We asked him to come over to look at the work that was completed on our house and he immediately started pointing out significant issues with the way the siding was installed. He also immediately reassured us that he would help us and would complete any necessary repairs. Shaun had to come up with a unique way to fix our windows to prevent future damage, since the other contractor had done such a horrible job and had ruined all the trim around our windows. Shaun repaired all the issues with our house shortly thereafter, which avoided significant damage that would have happened to our house had these repairs not been completed. He is very reliable and does amazing work. He even agreed to help us when we told him that we may need him to testify on our behalf against the other contractor in a lawsuit. I would highly recommend Murphy's Exterior Construction!!

I needed a very small siding repair. I was NOT interested in a two step process with an estimate…read morefrom a salseperson followed by a visit from the actual workers. I made that very clear to the scheduler. The scheduler confirmed that that could be done. I subsequently received an email confirming the appointment. I replied, repeating my insistence that I simply wanted the repair made in a single visit without a separate visit from an estimator. Sure enough, an estimator arrived 20 minutes late without any equipment. He was downright rude when I complained, saying "no one does business that way." I told him that Guardian was put on notice at least twice that I was not interested in a two step process. I would not have bothered taking time off from work had they simply told me they required a two step process. At my request, the manager called me, and I explained the situation. She was pleasant on the phone and said that she would she she could find someone in the organization to address the issue. I forwarded the earlier email for her records. She promptly acknowledged receipt. That was all two weeks ago. I never heard from her again. She did not respond to three follow-up emails of increasing urgency. The repair still have not been made, and I am back to square one. I DID receive a robotext asking me to rate my experience. (eyeroll). Stay away from these people. They are arrogant and beyond worthless unless you have a major project, and even then you have to worry about how they respond to a problem. Dear Guardian: am sorry I am not worth your precious time. It will not happen again.

Have had a LOT of communication with Guardian over the past few years. They did a sealant on our…read moreroof, but due to the age of the roof that plan did not hold up - they did explain to us that we really should have a new roof, which we agreed with and they subsequently gave us a credit off of the original quote. Workers were very diligent and hard-working. The project managers had to deal with extra problems that were uncovered when the old roof was taken off - many layers and uneven spots, for which we did pay extra. Our problem is with the follow up. While our manager/site boss - not exactly sure what his title is -was communicative during the process and did come back to follow up with some debris that was left in the gutter, etc. we told him that our large front bush got damaged. He assured us that they have a company that they work with, and that he would have them get in touch with us. That was three months ago, and I have sent him five texts, none of which were answered. While the roof itself seems fine, the lack of follow-up communication does not bode well for potential future problems.

FIVE out of FIVE stars for CAB Construction!…read more When I learned I my commercial building needed a new roof, I reached out to several contractors for quotes, one of them being CAB Construction. After a prompt initial phone call, John M. met me at my building, perfectly prepared to answer all my questions and he'd very obviously paid attention to my specific concerns from when we spoke (about being a messy tear-off in a tight, highly visible lot.) Worth noting, as a single woman business owner - John's candor and professionalism were greatly appreciated. He met / exceeded every promise on price, workmanship and completion date (which was not an easy goal to meet, but he got it done!) The process could not have been easier for me. And despite the fact CAB was by far the most equipped + experienced company I spoke to - they also came in with the lowest price. I recommend CAB Construction to anyone for roofing. Hopefully John M gets your call. :) (I'll be putting siding on my house in the next year - I'll be going with them 'cause they do that, too!)
