This place is a lot more than your average auto shop. First, they weren't pushy at all about other repairs. In fact, had scheduled an alignment, and they said I didn't need one. They did catch that my battery was almost dead. They charged me the exact same amount as Advance Auto had listed. For some reason, when we left the parking lot, my window wouldn't go up. Friday afternoon and all the way across town from home. We went back and three of the nicest staff came out. They told us what was wrong. Got it where it wasn't fixed, but it was up and taped it enough to keep water out for awhile. These people were so darned nice. Would have loved to have swapped more old car creative fixes stories. read more

Might be ok for tires on a beater but if they touch your engine you'll be sitting on the side of the road in no time.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Took my car here to be inspected. Recently had the clutch replaced and the shop that did the work let me know what was needed for inspection (exhaust leak and a license plate bulb). We took care of these issues on our own and when it was time for its inspection we scheduled with tires plus because of their soonest availability. They failed the cars safety inspection stating the tires on the car are not the correct tires the car was manufactured with and all 4 would need replaced to pass. I've had the car since 2021 and have never been informed of this and have only had the tires replaced by licensed service centers. Very disappointed in this bogus fail reasoning, I feel they were just looking to make an additional sale and hoped I would be naive enough to fall for it. read more

Do not get new tires from this place if you have rims/wheels that do not have basic steel wheels with hub caps! Do you have aftermarket rims? Don't come here. Do you have nice rims from the dealership or factory? Don't come here. They will gouge your rims down to bare metal & then tell you that it's expected because they do not have "no-touch machines". I purchased my rims & tires from Tirerack.com after not being able to find the wheels I wanted at any of the local shops on Loucks rd. I chose Tires Plus because they were a recommended installer on Tirerack.com, were one of the closest to me, & were the only shop with online scheduling of service. All of these factors made Tires Plus look like they were the best choice. My truck was completed 12/1 @ 6:30pm & I noticed the damage this morning 12/2/2020 around 8am & called Tires Plus immediately. Spoke to Craig. Let him know about the damage. Craig's response: "We're not a performance shop, we don't have the capabilities to mount tires on aftermarket rims because we don't have a no-touch tire machine." My response: "If you knew you didn't have the capabilities to mount tires onto aftermarket rims without damaging them then why did you take on the job?" Craig: "I have a customer at the counter......" & put me on hold then disconnected me. Based on my experience working in tire shops when I was younger, the chips on the edge of each rim look like the pry bar snapped down & chipped the paint, not tire machine rubs. 3 of the 4 rims have large ¾" = 1" chips in the paint down to bare metal, about the width of a pry bar. Other than Craig, the staff at Tires Plus were great to deal with. During my 4 hours stay in the lobby I interacted with just about every employee in the shop & they were all pleasant to work with, seemed very knowledgeable, & did a very good job explaining the issue as it happened. Except for Craig, he was off on Tuesday. I was at Tires Plus for 4 hours for a simple wheel install because they could not get my TPS sensors to communicate with my truck. They ended up telling me that the tire sensors I bought from Tirerack.com were no good so I bought some directly from Tires Plus. After another 1.5 hours they told me that only 2 of the 4 sensors were working. I accepted the truck as is because I was tired of being there for 4 hours plus their incompetence was now showing. On my way home the tire sensors connected & turns out my front passenger tire was only inflated to 20lbs. So a brand new tire straight out of the tire shop was only inflated to 20lbs. Craig had nothing to say about this, apparently this is acceptable to him too. Do not give this place your business. Tires Plus - As a business owner myself, I highly suggest you terminate Craig. He should not be a manager & he should not be handling customer service. Tirerack.com is awesome, they'll be handling replacements and dealing with Tires Plus corporate. read more

This shop for car tires are very bad On Friday, November 20, 2020, I bought 4 tires for my car with balance and alignment when I ran it on the highway the car looked like it wanted to fall because of the gas it has, I took it on Saturday and they made an appointment and I took it until Monday at three in the afternoon what will take it. It is the last time you see that there are rubbers because they do not do a good job and they are unaccountable for not helping me quickly to solve my problem. do not go there, look for another site read more

I had a car taken in for a flat repair, and they failed to tell me until after they had removed the tire from the rim that they couldn't complete the service. The fellow I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude and curt and refused to be of any further assistance. They left me with a separated rim and tire and essentially told me good luck. Thankfully they didn't charge me, so they didn't rip me off all the way. But that was an inconvenience I did NOT need today! read more

I wanted to thank everyone at Tires Plus in York for the way they treated me and how they did all they could on a Sunday afternoon. My car just died while on the road and i had it towed to Tires Plus where they looked at my car and did all the possible checks they could. They found that my battery was just fine bit my engine would not turn. Well they put it on the lift and tried to turn the engine by hand and even though they were able to do so they could not pinpoint the problem and suggested that i have it taken to the local dealership where they could use their diagnostic equipment to find the problem. I was unable to do so on a Sunday so they kept my car inside their shop that night and waited until the next day when I was able to arrange for it to be towed. They refused to allow me to pay for just checking my car and after the day I was having I really appreciated that. As it turns out my car had a recall and a new engine will be needed. If I am in York and need anything done form Tiers to oil change i will sure stop there. Thanks to everyone that helped. Paul read more

Worst service I've ever had from a repair/tire shop. Called Monday to set-up an appointment for Wednesday oil change, due to a road trip I was taking starting friday. Since I worked local I had my car there 8:30 ( I was there by 8:20)and told them I would need it by 12 ( clerk insisted to put 11 to be sure it was done) upon getting off work late at 1 I went to pick up my car. My car was not even touched 5 hours later, and no phone call to inform me. Extremely angry the lady offered me a free oil change, but i didn't have time to do it prior to leaving for my trip!!
